The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. There is no fan in the bathrooms, the check-in is quite late.

Location is outstanding. Beautiful views and vistas. Lovely grounds and setting. We had out dog with us and were charged $50 extra for her. This was twice as much as we have ever had to pay for a pet. Don't feel it was worth it: brought our own dog bed and treats and bowl as we always do. We will recommend this hotel, but not to those with pets.

Staff was very competent and efficient. The location was excellent and close to shopping and "The Superior" which was one of our planned destinations. Beds were sooo comfortable! I asked for another robe and set of toiletries as there was 2 of us and we got them straight away. They were great products. If I had more time, I would have checked out the pool. The restaurant menu looked good. I felt the $15 parking fee was too steep as there was no direct access to the hotel and had to drag luggage across the way, however I was impressed and pleasantly surprised to be reimbursed the fee when I brought it up to hotel staff when checking out just as feedback. I was not happy to be charged "city tax" and was not charged "city tax" in other accommodations during our stay. How can we encourage our locals to stay and also to promote tourism in the off season when charged an extra tax. We have enough tax to pay! The hotel is a bit "dated" now in decor in common areas as well as in our room on the 1st floor (which didn't look like the pictures on-line). Carpet in some common areas was worn and stained. The room service prices were outrageously expensive! I would have ordered, but 2 cookies and a glass of milk or a pop and popcorn for $10, come on!

Going out back and sitting by the pond, looking over the Bay in the quiet of the morning watching the activities carrying on. Funny little Foyer/walk to the elevators, which was somewhat in conflict with those waiting for a table at Aura.

The room was very luxurious with a stunning view. The location was excellent. The first room we were given had no view and was very basic, not what I'd ordered but the upgraded room (at a fee) was perfect.

It was very nice, clean. I liked the contemporary design. Staff were very friendly, courteous & professional. They made me feel right at home. The veiw was nice. I would stay there again. There was a lose paver on the blacony, the stucco around the building was covered in algae.

The Lobby and ground floor were beautiful and in good repair, and the Dining Room service was well done and most satisfactory. We found the room in poor repair, the sink was cracked and the nail holes in the walls were very prominent. The hall walls were blindingly white with no relief as to Art or artifacts.

This stay was fine - the rooms are comfortable and the location is great on the water - close to walking to lots of places and the rooms generally have good views. At a different stay, they put us on a floor where there was a public ginger bread display at Christmas - it was like having a trade show right outside your door. There was not very much attempt to limit people there, despite the fact that there were viewing hours - there were people there at all hours.

The location was great, as we arrived via Victoria Clipper and could easily walk around town. Nice view with lights of the city and Parliament. Enjoyed watching boat and seaplane traffic. Bar seemed overpriced.

Inn at Laurel Point was nice and quiet with very friendly staff. We were most comfortable with our surroundings. The food was delicious! This is minor, but I found the little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion very hard to squeeze in order to get the contents out. Also, and this is our own fault, we didn't find the in room coffee maker until the morning we were leaving. Why we didn't open that cupboard sooner, I have no idea. All in all it was a great place and our needs were met in every way!

The restaurant food was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous. Not a complaint but just a suggestion -- I would have liked a full length mirror in the room. But no big deal.

The view from the bedroom window. Staff very helpful. The dinner was good We obviously did not ask enough questions and therefore did not know that there would be no food available for breakfast. Maybe we could have been told this the previous evening. I know that it was New Year, but when a guest, availability of food is expected.

My only pet peeve would be the quality of the toilet paper being used at this hotel. It's like wiping with tisWhen guests are spending this much for room rentals, please don't skimp on the TP......get the good stuff (Charman)! It really makes a big difference and doesn't go unnoticed! Thank you

The location is excellent, providing a quiet room, fascinating harbor views from our room and within easy walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, walking trail and ferry. The TV system makes channel selection laborious. Christmas Day "brunch", the extent of the menu and price (both far beyond what one would normally expect for brunch) were not properly explained when we booked a table for this meal.

“We very much appreciated the ample free parking. A very good breakfast was served in the attractive lounge area and included home-made muffins. Our ground floor room had a small garden terrace and was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was quiet and a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Victoria.” Susan, Tsur Moshe |
