we booked a suite and the room was small with a fridge and microwave. The second night was very noisy. We complained and the noise stopped. Third night there was a constant banging of doors opening and closing all night. Complained twice and nothing was done about it. Would not recommend.
It was a very nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. I was not expecting it to be as nice and comfortable as it was. The staff was great!!
Location from downtown Vancouver.
Deposit of 250 is asked when checking into hotel, daily cleaning is slow, got back to room after 4pm and cleaning staff had not even started. Overall not very friendly staff, could be that hotel looks to be family owned. Old tube tv.
Nice hotel with clean rooms, recently renovated i believe. good continental breakfast, we found it to be quiet and slept well. i would recommend this hotel
More or less the location is in a very run down part of town and wouldnt dare venture outside after dark.
I really liked the layout of my room. The newly renovated rooms are comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my continental breakfasts.
It was a busy week at the hotel, so I had to waste a lot of my day waiting to be moved from one room into the room I had booked originally. Being alone, I didn't like parking at the back in the unpaved, weedy and dimly lit field when I returned at night.
Everything Its was bad
Bad reception Bad parking we didint have internet in the room We told them a few times they didn't fix the problem & the deal with customer service it's was very bad
The location of the Days Inn Surrey is great for travelers without a vehicle. It is less than 500 meters from the Gateway Sky Train station. This allows for rapid transit from the hotel to the center of Vancouver and beyond. One gets the convenience of being able to get into Vancouver without having to pay the hotel rates in downtown Vancouver. Breakfast was tasty (if pancakes are your things).
The lady at the front desk occasionally seemed confused. She was a bit slow and uncommunicative when processing our check-in and check-out. We wished to do laundry, and we asked the lady at the front desk if we could buy detergent because the brochure in our room had mentioned this option. She abruptly informed us that the laundry room was full, and that she would call our room as soon as the laundry room was available for our use. We are still waiting for this call! (Plus, the laundry room is hidden behind a door marked "Storage." How convenient and intuitive!
Kerrigan coffee maker in room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Advertised as having a fridge in room. But there was none. It was a bit noisy so close to a major route and the Skytrain.
I had to wait for my room to be cleaned at 6:30PM when it should have been done by 3
Staff was not clear to me about whether I can extend my stay or not .First she said :"no problem you can extend .I can always make it for you ".Then they surprised me that I have to check out the very same day after 5 nights of staying with them . I gone through a very bad time trying to find a place for the kids to stay in over night . It was very despicable and disappointing experience .
Our room was VERY comfortable and excellent for my girls' weekend away. The coffee maker was EXCELLENT and I appreciated the options for which kind of coffee I wanted to drink. Despite being on a major road, I couldn't hear any traffic. Being so close to the SkyTrain was a HUGE contributing factor to chosing this location.
My friend that I was travelling with commented about the showerhead being very low pressure. The toilet handle was broken and I had to fix the plunger under the lid several times. The breakfast was a good selection but the pancakes were VERY hard. There were lots of other options to eat but it happened that the pancakes appeared to have been made hours earlier.
Helpful staff. A shopping center nearby with Latin and Asian food. Close to New Westminster and relatively easy to find, being on a major route.
The neighborhood is a bit on the seedy side, although seems safe enough. Lots of pawnshops.
We arrived at about 4:00 P.M. After a long day of driving. We had driven across Canada from Ontario, which had taken us 7 days. We entered the Lobby. There was no one at the front desk. There were no lights on and place looked deserted. We called out several times and at last the Receptionist appeared out of the gloom. We had booked this room 2 months prior, and for a total of 12 days. She looked for about 20 minutes before she found our booking. Then she informed us we couldn't use our American Express because the machine had been taken out and not replaced yet. Finally we arrived in our room. We had booked a room with a fridge, and there was none. The room was tiny, with one chair, and a desk. 1 queen bed with a questionable brown bedspread. Bed linens seemed clean, but the whole room and bathroom reeked of curry. The room was poorly lighted, gloomy and depressing. There was a window but we couldn't leave it open to air the room out because there was no screen and plenty of mosquitoes. As a result, after 2 days we cancelled our reservation. Would not stay or recommend this hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Parking/WIFI are free. Located about 30 mins from Vancouver downtown.
Hallways are a bit dingy. Needs renovation and lighting. Rooms also need renovation.
in an industrial zone.had to take skytrain to mall an drive to restaurants.
This is a newly renovated property. So the rooms were clean with new carpet, curtains, beds, etc. The beds were very comfortable! It is a smaller hotel so it had a family like atmosphere. Breakfast was fresh
Rooms were a little small. I could hear the neighbors voices over my tv at midnight. I also notice you could hear people in their rooms when walking down the hall. Only one elevator at one end of the hotel.
Beautifully renovated and spotless room. Close to skytrain.
Not in a good location of Surrey re safety.
friendly staff, newer hotel, clean and comfortable.
You don't expect nice breakfast. My room was very cold when my family got there at 9pm.
Quietness, friendliness, cleanliness.
