Score from 71 reviews Excellent
Parking was 4blocks distant and cost $15.
The bed was so comfortable and the tub was so clean, spa bath was amazing and and very relaxing.
I suggest that there should be a tv and small fridge in the room.
the service of breakfast is depended on the staff preferences, sometimes we could't get even we go on the time
It was close to the train station.
Everything else apart from it's close proximity to the train station.
Location was excellent.
The condition of the building was poor. The owner/manager was a bit rude and not as helpful as he could have been about the electric bus which took us up to old town. Room was very small. The breakfast room was cluttered.
Location all that was positive
Appears to be half way through renovation. No TV in room, WiFi very poor. Having to walk up two flights of narrow stairs to reach room
Proximity to the railway station, and to the old and new cities. Adequate breakfast of pancake, croissant, jam, maple syrup and coffee. The waitress was very friendly, though not professionally dressed.
My room was being renovated..I got no apology or discount for this. The breakfast room looked like a storage room, with a place cleared for guests. The hotel is much in need of an upgrade.
location is close to train station
pancake were like shoe leather but fruit was good mattresses were terrible used rope for baseboard in rooms but tiles were falling off wall and man at desk was rude
Not bad breakfast.
This is not a hotel. And it shouldn't cost even 60$. One thing that I don't understand is the tax. Because the second day I move to other hotel. I paid what it showed on the website. Always tall in Eng with me even if I say in Fr. For me that s a discrimination.
Breakfast & server nice.
Owner seems impatient, unhappy, fortunately surrounded by lovely city & folks.
Service was very good. Our bathroom was halfway through renovations, and he gave us a discount for this, although everything was working and comfortable while we were there.
The location and breakfast were great. Cleanliness of the room was excellent. The owner explained the city and what to do.
The hotel looks like a haunted house. The restaurant and stairs are filthy and the duvet as well. The furniture has never been thoroughly cleaned. Although the hotel wants to have antique furniture, it has to be cleaned. Do not except any help with luggage. Even if you are 100 years old no help for you. The owner does things which suits him not the guests. He will not go out of his way to make his guest happy, which I think would have make us happy. Even if you have a child and you need an early breakfast, he says he cannot wake up to do it. i really regret the amount of money I paid for this hotel. I could have stayed in Chateau Fonterac and got a way superior service. I would recommend a different hotel for $20 more.
Location near ViaRail station
Overpriced. Poor accomodations. Strange attitude of staff member.
Close to ViaRail station
Good location, good breakfast, nice city
As already mentioned in other comments, the owner of the hotel appears very unfriendly. He behaves like beeing unhappy about having guests. The breakfast area was dirty.
I thought the location was great - many restaurants and a farmers market within close walking distance, and good access to the old city. it is across the street from the train station, and buses to go to Montmorency Falls or around to the museums and shops of the old city.
Location Room was clean Breakfast included Large room ( we had the suite)
No tv Cafe was full of clutter Decor was tired and old Room was not ready on time for check-in
best location, good price with spacious room, nice breakfast. I will definitely visit here again!
Bed and Shower was excellent, breakfast was excellent.good local information.excellent location. Gerald helpful at organisingand booking a tour. Gerald has an unusual sense of humour but his hospitality added to our travel experience!
There was no tv, steep stairs, no apologies for 45min late with breakfast1 morning. No tea/coffee making facilities available. It would be inexpensive tohave small facility on each floor at least.Vaccumming around the tables while we waited for breakfast not acceptable.Gerald's manner could be off putting. Lack of extra tea/ coffee at breakfast. Language was a challenge but we are in Quebec!
