Excellent location for downtown concert event. Within walking distance from shoppIng as well. Parking is not included in the room rate and it is too expensive. It cost almost 1/3 of the on- line room rate just for one night's parking.

The convienience of International hotel and suites location is excellent. We checked in, and walked everywhere for the entire weekend! Never saw my car for almost 483 hrs. When the weather was nice we walked outside. While it was blizzarding or there was just alot of snow on the ground we walked through the +15'S. The rooms comfort and view were great, and the service was very good as well. There was 3 things that were unenjoyable about our stay at International Hotel and Suites... First: once parked in the parkade and on our way to our suite, the elevator was out of order. Two: while visiting with guests late at night we realized that the toilet was leaking, then it kept running, then it over flowed, then we had to manually fill the tank every time we wantex to flush for fear of over flowing. Three: when we went down to the bar to watch a hockey game, there was no one else there... Maybe they could try to get more patrons into the bar.

Big, clean, nice and new rooms. Balcony which is rare in Downtown Calgary. Fairly accomidating. They didn't acknowledge my request or give me the request of the largest table in the suit or if late check out was possible. I had to pay to park which really pisses me off & I still got a $65 impark ticket.

Excellent location, in the centre of the business district, within walking distance to eau claire, calgary tower, restuarants and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was much cheaper than nearby hotels, definitely good value for money.

Location was great. Enjoyed the seperate bedroom from the living room area. Nice to have a microwave as well as a fridge. Elevators were very slow and breakfast was expensive.

Loved the large room, the kitchen area so you could make drinks and use the fridge, the bed was really comfy, and the room was high floor so we had a good view. Free wired internet with a cable provided. We ordered breakfast in the room one morning which was delicious, and also tried the cafe bar breakfast which was the same price, but not as nice, I suppose it wasnt as fresh. The bar on the evening was nice, and the food there was lovely. All the staff throughout our stay were lovely; friendly, helpful, polite, cheerful. The buffet breakfast where you can help yourself was really expensive for what it was, order room service its much better. It was also a pain having to swipe your room card in the lift to make it stop at your floor. I understand this is for security, but a lift full of senior citizens fresh off the coach all trying to move round the lift and swipe their cards was mayhem! Also after 24 hours our room cards were deactivated so we had to queue at reception amid the coach party checking in to get them sorted. It wasnt just one card either, we had two rooms between family and all four cards conked out at the same time.

The great location just a short walk from Eau Claire market, the Glenbow Museum, and other downtown attractions was a real find. I lucked in on an incredible price for a large, modern suite. Security is a concern for me, so I appreciated the fact that the elevator up to the floors only operates with the room key and there was a safe in the room. The major inconvenience was access to the hotel if you arrive by car. The passenger drop-off area is small and was jam-packed with vehicles squeezed in every which way, so there was no place to stop to check in. I managed to park further up the street and walk back. Glad I was travelling light. The hallways were much too warm (sauna warm) but the the suite was maintained at a comfortable temperature.

The room was great, the space was fantastic. we really liked it, didn't hold a business meeting it the room, but could have! the key cards kept resetting, we had to go to the desk several times to get into the room, they eventually told us they were SO sensitive that even putting it beside a cell phone would do it, I put it into my pocket alone and it still reset.

“We had just finished our Rocky Mountainer Train trip and arrived in Calgary at about 10:30 pm ,the Sandman hotel was one of the ones they used so it"s great to have luggage delivered to the hotel. It made everything easier. It's also only about $10 by cab to the hotel. Our room was very large,so this was a pleasant surprise. Yes!!! I am very choosy about my accom. But I was very happy to stay there. Dt Brisbane Australia ” Deleraine, Brisbane |
