Score from 329 reviews Very good
we loved everything about the Inn. I was referred to them by a B&B owner from not too far from the area. We had expericed a bad day with circumstances out of our control that day on the Cabot Trail. They went out of their way to make it a much better evening.
The property is gorgeous and well cared for. Updated linens were nice.
The rooms are old, run down, dusty and bathrooms the same. Linens were the only new thing there. Pub service was terrible, as it was last year.
Some confusion with our reservation. However, receptionist was fantastic, wined and dined us while finding us a room. Bed very comfortable and bar staff excellent. Would return. Great start to our trip on Cabot trail.
Services provided for celtic colors
No updating of room, dirty towels in room, cleaning staff woke us up even though we had a late check out
Great location...and very helpful staff. A nice pub is on site with an excellent menu and great tasting food.
Low water pressure...making the early morning shower a wee bit of a challenge.
The atmosphere is Down Home , very comfortable, and quiet.
Haven't found it yet.
staff very helpful when we needed something...also very friendly
The general feel of the resort, good ammenities
The beds require new mattresses. The interior of the rooms and especially the corridors and common areas requre an update. It could be so much better especially for the money
Bartender was great.
Traveling on motorcycle and stayed there for convenience of restaurant and bar. Restaurant was completely booked with tour group. Did work us in but waited for almost an hour without being served. Finally left and went to bar to eat. Wait staff kept apologizing, saying kitchen was understaffed. We were told others left also.
the nearness of everything
The Inverary Staff were excellent. Very Pleasant and wanted to please. Location was very good and condition of grounds facilities (Gym & pool) were excellent. We will come back.t
Too short a stay!!
Very good Location for Cabot Trail.
Hotel needs to be renovated.
Some upgrades are needed
Loved the place !
Location, setting and grounds were exceptional. The food was good and the restaurants are pleasing and good food.
The building was in good condition, but the room was very tired. The carpets are worn and smell. Gave the feeling that you were cautions about not wearing shoes. The air conditioner was very noisy, and did little to cool the room.
The Inverary grounds are wonderful to stroll through at any time day or night with the option to wander into Baddeck proper.
The Cape Breton tourist fee was quite the "surprise" tagged onto every day of our stay as the peek summer prices for room and meals more than covered this already.
Facilities were good
Not worth the amount paid, especially excluding breakfast
The room was very dated and run down. Finish on tub bottom was very worn off. Not pleased considering what we spent for the room.
Scenery Ambience Very good food Excellent service A relaxed atmosphere
Large property, on the water with good character.
Wifi would not connect, request for extra blanket and pillow was not met.
The pool, the view
Mattress too soft
Food excellent. Accommodations very good. Wonderful location & place to stay when planning to tour the Cabet Trail on your vacation.
TV too small & did not work; updating TV recommended. Food a little costly, especially at breakfast meal.
We stayed at the Inverary for two nights. Wanted to be close to the Cabot Trail. And we were. The room was nice, we were upgraded to King Room and had two deck chairs in front of the room to sit and relax. View was not that great but still relaxing. Bed was very comfortable and it was very quite at night. The bathroom was also updated and clean. We eat at the restaurant for breakfast and did the pub food one night. Food was very good. It was .06 kl from the town of Baddeck, so you could just walk into town. We walked across the grass to a restaurant All you Could Eat. It was amazing. Right next to the Legion. 2 minute walk. All in All very nice. MJ
What I didn't like was our Toilet backed up first time using it. Spilling water all over the bathroom. Took a few times to get the plunger and a mop to clean it up. I didnt like that I had to plunge the Toilet myself as they sent someone that did not know what they were doing. Came to check it out without a mop or plunger then came back with just a plunger. So i took the plunger and sent him for a mop. He wanted to use towels. Had to call front desk again to get a mop, as he never came back. Two minutes later housekeeping came with mop. Then all we could smell was sewer smell when the wind would blow. I would have appreciated a discount for the trouble, but did not get that when checking out. :(
The room smelled like stinky socks The air conditioner was old and really load. Had to turn it off to sleep. Really dated and run down for the price.
Flexibility and friendliness of reception staff (Ann and Samantha) who were also helpful with info on hikes.
Our waitress at restaurant seemed a bit spacey, saying she'd bring something and then not bringing it. She also had no clue about whether fish/lobster was local. Food was fine, though.
