The rooms where clean, the bed was comfortable, the linens where great, the shower was great and the frig/coffee maker was good. The one minute walk to the subway was a bonus. I would stay here again.
The room was cold (i.e. 19 C) and we could not adjust the thermostat.
high quality bed. very nice staff. good continental breakfast with more choices than most.
bathroom didn't have a tub
A small hotel where you can get the essential services with enough comfort and without spending a fortune
breakfast was not very good.
The bed was comfortable. The staff was polite. It's pretty close to the subway.
There were a few hair in my bedsheets. The bathroom is tiny. The ventilation is noisy. There was mold on the shower walls. There were no fruits in the breakfast.
No central air or window to open
pretty nice location
-very small room -very small bathroom and shower -not much facility in room
The bed and the bathroom were clean.
The location is scary. The noise in the hotel is loud music until 3am. I had to sleep with my noise cancelling headphones. The elevator is so small I barely fit with a small suitcase and I'm 5 feet 115 lbs. My security lock on the door was broken and there were only crumbs of cereal at breakfast. The email I received from the with the total for the two they said at check out was wrong and wanted $55 extra for the second night. If I'd know that I would have switched hotels for sure.
Great location. 2 blocks to subway! Thick n thirsty towels. A recommend if your not too particular about room temperature and cleanliness.
Could not controll the overheated room. Not vacuummed properly upon arrival - watched to see if they picked it up during my stay...nope.
It takes just few minutes to walk to the subway. The location is awesome! Though I booked a double bed, it is great for one person to stay because the room is relatively small. Overall quite clean and got everything I need. I will probably choose this hotel again next time.
The room is too small for two people. Plus I can only check in after 3, which is a little inconvenient.
Clean cheap bar
Great value for money
Our thermostat wasn't working and our room was stinking hot!
the room was great, internet taking fine line , EXCELLENT breakfast at the bar of the hotel
The Lobby. The Location. The bed was very comfortable. For a solo traveler is the perfect place
I am a non-smoker and never been. Around 10pm I sensed the smell of Tobacco in my room. I turned the air system off and placed a towel at the bottom of the door and it faded. If this wouldn't had happened, Isabella would had been perfect!
Location, friendly staff, elevators.
The smallest hotel room we have ever seen. The bed occupied the whole room and where was little to no space to move around.
The hotel is in an area that does not appeal, but it is only 500metres odd to the metro, which is extremely good. Inside the hotel is modern.
Room 402 has very noisy air conditioning running all the time. The noise of trickling water coming from the air conditioning was not helpful for sleep. The lavatories off the lobby, where the breakfast is taken, were not in operation.
only the location
I asked for a quiet room as i was in Toronto for surgery the day after. I was given a room facing a main artery , with on going traffic all night long. The night staff changed me to another room that was even worse where i hear water flushing from the toilets upstairs all night long. I did not expect luxury but certainly also not to be awake all night
The hotel has the convenient location, and nice facility.
But the street is with noisy speeding cars, and crowd of people at night. I can not sleep well even with ear plugs.
The staff were very good and helpful.
Room was very small and not value for money, one side of the double bed was pressed against the wall. Bathroom was compact, shower door to small and shower glass badly cracked
The Isabella hotel is minutes from the Sherbourne subway, which meant we only used $3 on transit from the airport, instead of $58 for cab! The hotel rate included breakfast, and was the best rate I found near downtown Toronto that was for a hotel, not a hostel. Great value! The rooms were clean and included a coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer and ironing board. The bed was comfortable with a nice duvet and good pillows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers or anyone that just needs a basic room to sleep.
The temperature of the room was a bit difficult to control. At first the room was too cold, but when we called reception about this problem, the staff offered us an electric heater until the heating system kicked in.
shower stall was too small to get into
spacious room.good dining choicea nearby.
some street noise
Nothing hot room , plugged toilet they did not follow through with their attempt to remedy the situation. Told I would receive a gift voucher for a free night stay they failed to send it. I paid full price for a terrible room. Stay away.
