    Tofino is worth the drive.

Tofino is worth the drive. Loved the casual vibe of this remote surf town. In winter it was delightful. We went up to Ucluelet and did a walk. We surfed in very thick wetsuits, and we had a sauna on the beach. The whale watching in winter didn't seem to be so easy to find.

    What an absolutely interesting place!

What an absolutely interesting place! And we experienced both a trees breaking, power outing ferocious storm, and some pleasant and moderately sunny weather. Our stay at the Tin Wis Resort was beyond our expectations. We look forward to coming back, maybe in the summer next time.

Visiting in the "off season" was very nice.

Visiting in the "off season" was very nice. Everyone seemed relaxed and there were no crowds. Lots of free parking available. Most stores/restaurants were open. Some of the tour groups were still operating as well. Co-op was a great place for reasonably priced groceries, including a deli/bakery. Trails were well groomed and easy to locate. Try to work in the Bog Boardwalk trail as it's a very unusual area. People were still surfing/kayaking, etc.

Picturesque town on a beautiful harbour with gorgeous mountainous backdrop! Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby! Many trails nearby , accessible with a shuttle if no car . Bike rentals to ride to nearby beaches. Surf schools, whale watching, seaplanes and wildlife trips! Mountains, whales and bears , oh my !

The 1.5 hr seaplane flight with Atleo was excellent - stop at a remote lake for a swim, see the coast, the interior, - just excellent. Food was disappointing - by the sea yet very few served seafood that focused on the seafood - the focus seemed to be on having as many flavours as possible

It is an adventure type of trip.

It is an adventure type of trip. Huge trees, beaches are amazing, views, sunsets, and it has a feel of being a long ways away from just another tourist trap. The drive in is long and winding and you have to be really careful. Try to not arrive after dark as the highway has many tight curves that add to the risk. It is a fantastic getaway though, and the effort to get there and back is worth it. Try to stop at a few of the rest stops or parks along the way as they are really worth it.

The location is fantastic overlooking the ocean with easy access to the beach. Lovely walks around the grounds of the hotel. Very comfy communal area with plenty of seating inside and out to make the most of the wonderful views. Only took a couple of minutes to drive into Tofino for a good choice of restaurants and excursions. All the staff were really friendly. Nice continental breakfast offer. Loved the muffins and cookies available to go with the self service hot drinks bar available all day in the communal area, a really nice touch.

The hospitality from the moment we walked in the door was warming, fun, and truly genuine. We felt so welcomed and part of a family! The design is fun, authentic, and truly something special. They thought of everything! Jerin, Jenny and Kendra deserve an extra shout out...from going the extra mile to ensure we felt relaxed and taken care of, to making sure the kids had all the tokens, games and fun, to loving on our pup every time we walked in the door. Thank you! Hotel Zed Tofino will not soon be forgotten! We will be back, 100%!

The room was so spacious yet cozy, the hydro-massage tub in the bathroom was perfect to warm up after being outdoors in the cool Tofino weather. Maria and her father in-law were excellent hosts, extremely accommodating, very nice and friendly. Lovely people :) Daily home-made breakfast was vast and delicious. Hands-down the best option we could ever found. I am looking forward to our next time in Tofino and will definitely book again this accommodation.

The staff are excellent. Most are from countries around the world. We had a small issue with our room but it was rectified quickly and we were offered a delicious dinner in the dining room at the lodge. The breakfast is terrific, especially the cinnamon buns and the coffee/hot chocolate bar is open all day. The beaches on either side of the lodge are wonderful. Tofino is the best place on earth.

Visiting Pacific Sands is a fantastic experience. The grounds are immaculate (as always). I enjoy the view immensely. Staying at Pacific Sands is different than other hotels partly due to the natural beauty and also the excellent facilities. In fact when I am there, I often do not even want to go out to see the rest of the area.

Incredibly clean, comfortable and cozy! My partner and I stayed here for four nights and can't wait to stay here again. So many perks to staying here - from the unlimited coffee to the ocean views! The staffing team were exceptional and very attentive. The history of the hostel (first hotel in Tofino in 1930!) is an extra bonus.

It is a really cute cottage type place (I believe it has more than one suite available and I think all are in the same building). It's not far from Tofino's center, but does require a car. Really quiet and beautiful area. The staff were super nice and helpful.
