Smallish room, terrace had wasps, self serve breakfast (cook your own)
The room was fine and the balcony was neat
It was supposed to be a B&B and they had eggs in the fridge for us to cook up for ourselves, bread for us to toast, juice, jam and coffee and tea to prepare. It's just not my idea of a B&B, nor is it my idea of a continental breakfast. Also, the washroom needs some work done
Overall Cleanliness Prompt Service Comfortable Room Great Location, close to bus and subway
Friendliness of the staff Convenient location close to subway and bus Clean facilities
it was very close to where i had to be
the stairs we too tight. im a big guy and i thought i was going to die when i got to my room.
Staff was friendly and courteous. The room was well appointed and made for a pleasant stay.
Although they tried to accomodate my early arrival, it was not to be and I found the mid afternoon check in interferred with my schedule during my short stay.
Loved the location & private deck Staff Friendly & obliging.
No screen on Window; patio furniture needs upgrading; only one choice of cold cereal, no maid service!
The location was good. Walking distance to museums and restaurants. Our room had a roof top terrace, with a small table and uncomfortable chairs. It was quiet.
The place was not very clean and in need of maintenance. The comforter and cushions on the bed needed washing, door handle of the bathroom door was falling off, as well as the shower handle. The carpet on the stairs was dirty. Did not like that we had to make our own breakfast with whatever supplies were available. The room was not cleaned during our 2 day stay and the one staff was only visible when checking in.
convenience to public transportation- quiet neighbourhood except for a few barking dogs - the bed was comfortable- the wi-fi showed a strong signal but Google kept closing down.
One bathroom for 5 bedrooms is inadequate. The shower leaves a lot to be desired with a broken door and a lot of limestone scale around the bottom. A washer and dryer but the washer is u/a??
They gave me the key code to open the door.
The location and the ease of having a combo lock for the front door was wonderful.
The condition of the facility ( it needs a little TLC), & the selection for breakfast was a little limited. Some fresh fruit and yogurt would be nice.
Bathroom could be cleaned a bit more frequently.
I definitely enjoyed my stay, and if and when we come back to TO we will be staying here again
able to use kitchen as needed. Bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff Building itself was quiet. Realize that construction outside was outside the manager's control of course.
Otherwise the location is very good, easy access to everywhere.
Located in the middle of gay village, so all the pubs are gay oriented and drag shows were very popular.
Self serve make your own breakfast whenever
Shared bathroom was always occupied
Freedom inside the hostel
It is an old Victorian house with authentic looking furnishings. The bed was comfortable. I felt safe. I enjoyed classical music playing in the common area. The staff were pleasant and offered help with my luggage. I was allowed to check in early to accommodate my tight schedule. They also provided a minimal breakfast (coffee, tea, cereal, etc.) which was more than I had expected.
If you are allergic to cigarette smoke, do not stay here. I could smell it throughout the house.
The feeling is very great. Jsut like living at second home abroad. Especially the common living room and kitchen is awesome!
only one common washroom, it is not enough for all of customers.
Cleanliness (room, shared bathroom and kitchen) as well as the responsiveness of the owners (pro-active e-mail before check-in etc.) was good. W-Lan in breakfast area and room was fast and very useful.
Furniture is ok, but the owners may check the drawers for leftovers of other guests before having a new guest in a room.
Very friendly, nice people in the gay part of town, I am not gay and found it nevertheless a very nice little area with nice people and great options for restaurants and so forth, absolutely safe area and just fun to hang out.
everything was ok, there were no downsides, really.
I stayed here for one night and it was really near by the next subway station. The room was quiet and Emre was a nice host.
Iam not familiar with the prices in Toronto in general but for 100 CAD I expected more. Everything looked a bit old fashioned and the breakfest was very simple.
The location is amazing, friendly staff, here you can fin peace and quiet. Great value for bang for your money.
Ask about the shower in the private bathroom.
The location was perfect! We walked everywhere, and for this price, you cannot find better.
Staff was very helpful.
The door could have had a better lock.
