Caruso's Accommodation

Central situation in Jasper making the shopping/restaurant area accessible walking. Cheap compared to other hotels in Jasper.

The room is really small and not very well designed, a huge bed (even if queen size) in such a small room is not making sense. The kitchen is totally useless, the furnitures are not working but could not be used anyway given the tiny room available, not even a table to eat and plenty of restaurants around. The mirror in the bathroom is not on the right side, you need to look on the side to be able to shave. Well... To be recommended for its very low rate (for Jasper...) but, after 2 nights we were under the impression that we would have preferred spending 50USD more per night to have more comfort....

Le café et le sucre nétaient en vrac,alors on ne sait pas qui avait joué dedans....et pas de savon pour se laver et une grosse bouteille de shampooing commune....un manque dhygiene

The location was good. The effort made to accommodate our dates was excellent. The bed was comfortable.

It was terribly cramped with the bed against one wall. There was no soap for the shower; no bathmat. The toilet tipped every time you sat on it. The kitchen had no dish towels. Closet only big enough to hold our jackets and no dresser/room for a dresser for the rest of our clothing.

the bathroom had old, empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in the tub, and an old used soap bar in the tub. Where they meant for our use? We weren't convinced the towels were fresh for us. The proprietor met us once, at our departure. She was in her nightclothes with no dressing gown to cover herself more appropriately. We were surprised at the property's management.

Convenient, hospitable

Room was cozy but a little small. Very quiet and clean. Perfectly located to the hub of Jasper but without the night noise. Everywhere is within a five minute walk.

Room was little too small. No smoke detecter in room. Limited channels on tv. No channels for renting movies.... Always a nice option.

Lack of parking space on the street, I had to park quite a distance away.

It was a cozy and small accomidation with a comfortable family air about it.

We cannot recommend this place at all. The host seemed a confused and lives in quite an unorderly room one storey above the room we stayed in, which was not a great first impression. The room where we stayed was not really clean. Next to the entrance staircase, there was a basket filled up with empty bottles which stayed there during our two nights stay, although the recycle bin was located nearby. Basically, the first question of welcome was "How would you like to pay?". We have had much more friendly welcome interactions in Canada. To us, the place seemed overpriced. We had problems with the lock of the door and it did not feel 100 per cent safe to leave your valuables in this place. It was the place we felt the least comfortable during our three weeks stay in Canada.

Easy walking distance to town centre.

Steep narrow stairs, bathroom products had been used by previous guests, kettle had mould in it and shower curtain was moldy.

Just to list things up: - the rooms are in the basement, it's not that much light coming in as promised - it's NO HOTEL, so no cleaning of bed or bathroom, and no one empties the full waste bin - since rooms are in the basement, they are relatively cold and moist - no towels are changed, so moist towels remain moist (due to lack of fresh air) - room 3 can only be heated if resident in room 2 turns heating on - this then is for both rooms!!! - promised hairdryer was gone, also no tea in the room - in order to get those things, we had to call host, who speaks a very poor English and rarely understood us And all this costs 115 CAD per night - forget about it

The accomodation is located in the centre of town and so is very convenient. Litsa and Tom are very friendly and make you feel welcome to their home. The room is clean and comfortable.

The room is built into the basement of the house so the view out of the window is of the car bumper. It is also a bit compact, but that is fine for us as we just used it as a base.

Clean and comfortable private room in the townsite. The owner was helpful about fixing an initial lack of heat. Our tidy basement room had a small fridge, toaster, microwave oven and coffee maker. Not large or luxurious but good value, especially considering that there was a sofa bed as well as a queen sized bed. On the whole I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this place to budget minded travelers.

The hospitality was really bad! We only saw the owner once and the only thing she asked was when we wanted to pay. Upon arrival there was only a note with the key. The room was also not properly clean, was still coffee in the machine from previous guest. Will not stay here again!

Great, affordable place to stay.

Jasper has many home accomodations. Caruso's is one of them. It is located just a few blocks from Greyhound/Via Rail Canada Station. There is no need for a cab. Their rooms which are more like studio apartments are quite comfortable and rather well furnished. It is a good value in Jasper. The town is not cheap.

All was fine.

Owner was very friendly. The room and bathrooom were clean and comfortable. Great value for the money.

Alles, een houten krot waarvan de kelder als hotel gebruikt wordt, het woord hotel is totaal niet op z'n plaats. Dit onderkomen zou m.i. van uw website moeten verdwijnen. Het bed was schoon, veel zaken waren smerig en versleten incl de eigenaar. Internet werkte niet en er waren geen hotelfaciliteiten. Overdag en ook 's-nachts was er grotendeels geen personeel te zien.

Er was voldoende ruimte, de mogelijkheid om koffie/thee te maken en een magnetron. De badkamer was prima. Je kon in de tuin zitten, al was hij niet erg gezellig.

Het was een b&b zonder B. De kamer was half ondergronds, dus nogal donker en hij had totaal geen uitzicht. De eigenaresse was niet aanwezig en verwees ons per briefje naar de verkeerde kamer. Via mensen die toevallig aanwezig waren vonden we uit waar ze was. Wij vonden de kamer behoorlijkl duur voor wat hij bood (130 dollar per nacht).

Die Wirtin war sehr nett und wir durften den hauseigenen Garten nutzen. Sehr ruhige Lage in Zentrumsnähe.

Total kleines und ungemütliches Zimmer im kalten Kellergeschoß. Bad sehr eng und unpraktisch. Nur kleine Fenster. Wir haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt. War unsere schlechteste Unterkunft auf unserer 2- wöchigen B.C.- Tour.
