Likes the room, the high ceiling. The clean bathroom and the bay windows.
The air conditioner mounted too high to reach and was too cold to sleep, we couldn't turn it off. They should give thicker cover.
Clean well sized room. Great location near to subway stations. Really handy having laundry facilities. Wifi was excellent. Its nothing flash, but its just what we wanted at a great price.
A full length mirror would be really appreciated. Some more hangers for the wardrobe please.
Location close to downtown, parking is available 10 bucks a day, clean, nice staff.
The large room in the old townhouse, windows, temperature, quiet, clean
futon was not a suitable bed (hard, tipsy, wouldn't go flat) and collapsed on me in the night when I turned over..
The airconditioning couldn't switch off and make a lot off noice. We recived on time clean towels in 3 days. No good exploination from the host.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Fridge and microwave provided. Guesthouse was close to Sherbourne Metro and shopping area.
Room very small. Some hooks on doors or hangers would have been useful, as space is limited.
I like the room size TV Wifi - gold star :-) Location
You have a microwave & a fridge but no cutlery, plates or kettle. Finish off this job & I would have no issue with this place.
Location was great; room was clean, spacious and quiet (as requested). Staff was very helpful. There was a fridge and microwave in room.
No phone in room; water pressure (on second floor) was extremely poor.
Pristine cleanliness, comfortable bed, always hot water, always felt secure, excellent staff response, good location in what appeared to be a mainly residential area, lots of dog walkers! So near to subway, small Mall with Post Office and hairdresser.TV had good channels particularly classical music..Very pleased to be able to leave my luggage on the last day till the afternoon before leaving for the airport. Good value for money.
Not the room I thought I had booked, not like the web site rooms.Looked dark and dull because of grey curtain over window for privacy. Room 8 needs a face lift, venetian blind instead of the curtain, a mirror and some good prints or photos. The exterior would benefit from pot plants to make it look more welcoming and attractive. I thought from the web site there were only 4 rooms, not 13 and I had expected a front roomwith a street view. The room on arrival was forbidding but it had lots of positives.
Easy to get to, just off the subway line. The wakin tub was another nice feature.
I was looking for a B&B, was disappointed that this hotel was listed under that designation. B&B in the area would have been cheaper with breakfast.
- private bath - fridge and microwave in the room - spacious (Double bed and a pull out Futon) - Location is fantastic. A few block from Yonge and Bloor. You can't get much more downtown than that.
No remote for the A/C
I just wanted a nice and clean room to sleep in while I was in toronto.. Excellent
Be able to control my own AC
Very Clean rooms with WiFi, fridge and Microwave. Close to Sherbourne Subway and convenience stores. Onsite laundry
Room size is small
Good and quiet location.
Very nice quaint little room...Clean...Very close to subway and business district...Very friendly, helpful staff...Small parking area in back for $10 per day.
Very little reading light while in bed, only one small shaded lamp on one nightstand on one side of the bed (no room for a second nightstand, bring your own clip-on reading light if you like to read in bed.) Room was very cold. ***Only the attendant had the remote control for the air conditioner, at least in room #7. There was no way to control the a/c from the room or to unplug it, it ran 24/7. It's fine once you are in bed under the covers but outside of that it was very cold in the room. The staff reset it for us to 74 degree's and it didn't seem to work as it was still very cold (bring warm nightclothes.) Small bathroom, very nice and clean but still small.
Keppner Guesthouse is no frills, but then again we were hardly in the room. The location isn't close to any tourist attractions, but plenty of restaurants are within walking distance for both lunch and dinner. There are also a couple of different metro stops nearby that can take you anywhere in the city you wish to go.
This might've been my fault for not researching it, but I wish I'd known that parking was going to be extra. If I had, I probably would've parked in the nearby garage for a little less than I was charged by the Guesthouse.
Location, Room, wifi
Noise from other guests rooms
Great location, comfortable bed with host who went out of her way to help. We were there during the summer festival and could access the city easily. Breakfast is had with the other people in the house and is nutritious and tasty.
It was quite noisy when were there but that was because of the festival.
too congested room, ac not working properly
My intention in Toronto was to stay close to downtown while paying a reasonable rate - this I could accomplish using Keppner Guesthouse. The room and bathroom were very clean equipped with very basic amenities. It is located on a quiet street.
Soundproofing is not the best - you can easily hear other guests moving about in their rooms or talking in the corridor.
For us it was a great spot - easy to drive to. Cheap $10 parking, close to two different undergrounds to easily get into the city. Restaurants/movies/mall 10 minute walk away. Clean rooms and very helpful staff
If you want to be right in the city this wouldn't be for you
Value for money.. its relatively cheap, looking at the location, but basic. I think I had a good deal using Keppner Guesthouse. The location is great for a city trip. Calm neighbourhood and close to the city center. Either walking or subway.
Nothing, but make sure your mindset is right.
Clean linen clean floors
Closet and the table
The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is tiny but very clean. There was plenty of storage and hangers for our clothes and the place even has a laundry facility on site for free use.
It is by only one metro stop but there are plenty of places to walk to for dinner. Bloor street is very close by as well.
