Dust all over the tables, fireplace mantle, dirty bbq, fridge/ microwave dirty in and out. The chalet we stayed in didn't provide coffee. My husband got coffee from the person at the Chancellor chalets, she was very helpful, who inform my husband they have chalets there as well, and did have an office and a on site person to go to. Apparently Kicking Horse chalets don't. I have to point out that the manager from the kicking horse chalets while on site, give us a few more packs of coffee after my husband run into him (even though they don't provide it) due to the fact that the chalet was not cleaned properly, he also provided us with a bbq brush since none was provided. Very nice fellow. We are not picky people, but, I was expecting the cabin to be clean. The cabin really needs a good once over cleaning. Also, they should really invest in repairing the broken bridge - although rustic chic looking is a bit of a safety concern.
Overall we had a lovely time, the cabin was very nice and spacious. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful place, this is it. These chalets are about a few minutes walk to the Kicking Horse River and are surrounded by the Rocky Mountains - The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Even though housekeeping was not satisfactory we will be back as everything else makes up for it.
