The Decor; the Friendliness of the Staff; Easy to Find Location; Nearby Places to Visit - Wife and I stayed in a King-Sized room with great decor but the bed needed a better mattress.
Some additional attention to detail. Showhead moved and mattress in king sized room needed a re-do. Friend stayed in the 2nd room with the shower head problems.
Spacious rooms, very clean. Accommodating host.
Very soft mattress - almost impossible to sleep on. Tiny bathroom and shower.
It was a great experience to meet & get to know Faith who was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. She is one truly remarkable individual. Beautiful old house and the antique furniture.
I found the king size bed to be a little too "comfy" on my side. I personally would prefer a little firmer bed.
Breakfast was limited but good enough.
The landlady, Faith, was expecting me and her sense of humour was the first welcoming sign and foretold my pleasant stay at the King George. I will go again; I must go again, to savour her famous breakfast!
The brevity of my stay!
Humor and knowledge
The house has a nice interior, sugesting a victorian age home.
Poor customer service, unfriendly, unpolite, demanding and agressive atitude of the stuff. If you are in vacation and want to relax, find another place to stay!
In many aspects, The King George Inn was as good as any other B&B that we stayed at during our holiday in Nova Scotia. What made this B&B stand out, was the exceptional way we were greeted and entertained by Faith, our hostess. She was the "best"!
The innkeeper was rude, bossy and unpleasant. I would never stay there again.
decor was great and nostalgic
stayed at quite a few B&Bs, this was not one that I would go back. although the decor was impressive, what bothered us were the bathrooms in the family suite, which were small and dark and not updated. one of the entrance was like closet door, awkwardly behind the door to the room. in room AC unit was loud, so difficult to sleep, TV was small to watch comfortably in the bed. not sure how others rated it 4-star.
Faith she made our trip !!!
The B&B has lovely antique furnishings and the rooms are decorated nicely. Innkeeper provides interesting information about manners and lifestyle of the period.
Ensure bathroom. Upstairs sitting area.
Loud music. Internet connection was poor. Had to leave the bedroom to connect and stay connected. Hostess was overly anxious to please making us a little nervous and uncomfortable.
pretty much everything except
wi-fi poor hard pillow old coffee grounds in machine too few jets in tub
Location access to gardens and walking to downtown, an informative host who loves to dance!
Needed a place to stop over on my way back to Yarmouth for the ferry. Faith was tireless in her hospitality. She has gone all out to create a Victorian inn and a 'Victorian experience'. Met really lovely people at breakfast, which, by the way, was varied and quite good. While there are many places to stay in Annapolis Royal, this is where I will stay next time. Thanks Faith!
The proprieter was a helpful person. The bed was very comfortable. It is close to some nice restaurants.
The room had too much furniture in it, which made it crowded with two pieces of luggage.
I liked everything about the king George inn. It was beautiful and the staff was amazing.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Emphasis on Victorian items, furniture etc. required a lot of reseach and work..very different but comfortable.
Very friendly hostess and lovely old home.
The hostess is a bit overpowering and the breakfast was not great.
Faith ........ She was wonderfully friendly and great fun , very informative and a pleasure
The building and the furnishings were attractive. Faith, the manager/hostess/concierge/duenna and den mother was unique. She shamelessly self-promotes and works incredibly hard at delivering everything she promises. From lectures and demonstrations on Victorian table setting and manners to making reservations for "two lovely people staying at the King George" to meeting our every request, she goes above and beyond. She also has a great car. I don't recall meeting anyone in Annapolis Royal who didn't know her.
The bathroom was a converted closet. It was a really good conversion, but closets are still pretty small. This is a quibble. I would stay there again.
Would be nice if breakfast was included.
Excellent greeting upon arrival friendly sophisticated yet cozy very large rooms clean, organized
The very special innkeeper
WLAN does not work well in the rooms
