there was nothing i did not like
Friendly gentleman at reception and accomodated our room change. Plenty of breakfast items lots of parking-snow removed nice winter view of small lake
Room freezing bathroom never did warm up. had to walk to reception for wifi code. Woman at deskdidnt have her glasses. Needs updating
It's great to be able to park your vehicle and walk directly into your room...I don't need luxury - and I like convenience..Really - it's the staff that "sold" this to me!
Excellent standard of quality and comfort for a very reasonable price.
As with most hotels these days there are no plugs for the sink or bathtub.
The beds were really comfy.
Didn't like the breakfast and the coffee was terrible. The bath towels were about the size of a hand towel, and they were very rough.
We were welcomed, we got courteous help when we could not switch on the TV and we had an ample breakfast in the morning.
locatoion and staff (one guy
Breakfast was scant and TV was inoperative.
Location, free BBQ, owner was friendly. Gave us a discount when we complained about the smell of the room.
Owners didn't seem to be comfortable with booking.com process. Room, smelled, badly of smoke and was run down.
Easy to find. Next to Little lake and woods. Comfy queen beds.
Cleaner had missed a used plastic cup beside bed. Carpet stained near washroom. Shower pipe made specific noise.
We stayed for two nights, the price was very affordable. Room was spacious and clean. The staff/owners were friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding attractions and they even treat you to a BBQ supper! We will definitely stop in again.
When we wanted to cancel after looking at the rooms, the owner gave us a slightly more expensive room, two queens, that had been renovated for the price of the two double bed room.
Older Motel, run down, rooms not clean at all, especially office washroom, old AC system very dirty. Breakfast only at 8 a.m. & door was locked 'til he saw us waiting outside, big flies in eating area, not appealing at all. Terrible pillows, no blanket between very thin sheets & spread, which we had to use to cover with. No shampoos the first night, toilet tissue roll almost empty and no spare, no facecloths the second night had to ask for them. Renovated room not much cleaner, dirty screen door, door sills, dirty blue bins between rooms. This is a terrible place to spend a night really, the pictures online are always deceiving, definitely wouldn't recommend it. Giving it 1* only.
Doug & Maria, the owners of the motel, were always extremely helpful & friendly. Researched requested information on travel directions & on local events for us. First time in all my stays at different motels that myself, my wife, and any other guest who wanted to partake in the event, were treated to a barbeque. Approximately 12 customers showed up, all the hamburgers, hotdogs, soft drinks & salade were available. Top quality food & conversation. Nice time. Thank you to Doug & Maria
The owners are great and very accommodating. Location was excellent.
The facility needs a lot of freshening up. Smoke odour ib the room. Fridge door fell off every time it was opened. No facility for wheelchair requirements. No safety bars in showers.
tub air conditioner
The owners were very friendly and accomodating with anything we asked . They took time to ask how your day was and if there was anything more they could do for us. I wishes we could have stayed with them longer and definitely plan on returning to their facility.
The location was perfect since it bordered Little Lake Park where the Canada Day celebration was held. As well it was perfect for walking my dog several times per day. It was also within easy driving distance of many attractions and walking distance of the downtown core. Plus there are 3 nearby restaurants and a pizza place with a convenience store next door
Sorry, nothing comes to mind.
The management and staff were incredibly accommodating and were super nice to our large group. We definitely plan to come back to this venue for our annual trip to Midland.
A spacy room
Noisy airco as in most motels
The room was clean and service was adequate.
A continental breakfast was available at 8 am but we needed to leave by 7:30. An earlier breakfast time would be preferable.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location.
Very clean AND smoke free. Manager personally delivered extra towels, and food for pre-bkfst departure. New TV's Mattresses perfectly firm. Newish carpets. Excellent value for money. I plan to return in near future.
Severe winter has resulted in some cosmetic rust on outside stairways. Not a problem but you seem to need this area filled in! Much improved since new management.
Neighbours. Husband & wife arguing until early hours of the morning. Satellite TV did not work (no signal)
Stayed for 3 nights during the Ontario Winter Games Staff /hosts friendly rooms were clean continental breakfast price
Breakfast could be have a bit more selection Cold rooms - needed to turn heat up sooner so rooms would have been warm for arrival snow removal from walkways and stairs could inprove
-temperature in room-too cold -breakfast-juice not real-Tang? -selection of cereal-only sweetened ones -cracking caulking in bathroom
Knight's Inn Midland is an older two story walk up establishment. Rooms were somewhat dated but clean and comfortable and considering the winter weather outside, warm. The manager was welcoming and obliging. Our one complaint is the continental breakfast. It started at 08:00, somewhat late and the options and variety were very limited.
