Score from 97 reviews Very good
friendly informal atmosphere with personal attention of the proprietress
- Great breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs and homemade waffels and muffins. - We got a free upgrade to an apartment instead of the room. - Great tips of the host for our visit of Wells Gray
- A lot of spiders as company
Mary was very helpful and made us feel welcome, she prepared a really nice breakfast that was adequate for our needs.
We felt that there could have been a couple of water bottles in the fridge or maybe a jug of milk so we could make a cup of tea, there were tea bags, but no milk or sugar, after 8 hours some travelers like a cuppa!!, this is just a suggestion.
The host was very nice and offered discount coupons for local restaurants. The breakfast was quite good and I met people from Switzerland and Germany.
Overpriced for the market and the house smelled of dogs which was very unpleasant. The bedroom I had was not very clean nor was the bathroom. I would not recommend this B & B.
Spacious, good breakfast, bathtub.
It was hard to find because of similar street names.
Friendly hostess. Large spacious room with 2 bedrooms. Quiet room with full equipped kitchen. Free parking in front of the door. Free wifi which was working great.
Outdated and not 100% clean (some dust here and there). Kitchen could use some fixing (doors could be kept closed only with big spoon).
The breakfast was a personal affair arrange by our host. The location close to the entrance to the Wells Gray N P was very good. Our host gave good recommendations for restaurants for dinner.
Couldn't get the TV channels.
Excellent customer service and support Nice apartment for a family stay
Very friendly, host. Good sized suite with good size bedrooms and separate bathroom. Lovely breakfast.
We had 5 people and the 5 th bed was a futon in the lounge which was lumpy, firm and very uncomfortable. The sounds from the house above our room of dogs walking around disturbed us during the night. Our friends in the second one bed suite were not impressed by the dog odor in their suite. The whole place could benefit from being cleaned.
The owner was really kind, and she prepared for us a very complete hot breakfast, it was lovely! Moreover she upgraded us the room due to our honeymoon!
Our hostess was welcoming and very knowledgable about the area and Canada in general. The breakfast was generous, healthy and most delicious.
First impressions were good and the woman that we spoke too seemed friendly. She said that her husband was ill upstairs so we had been upgraded to a two bedroom apartment downstairs. However upon on inspection we did not stop the night due to the aweful smell of dogs. We spent the night in a motel in Clearwater.
There was an aweful smell of dogs. The apartment was dirty and hadn't been cleaned. The fridge was filthy, and the whole kitchen requires a refurbish. We also noticed that the place was up for sale, so its obvious that there is no interest in impressing the customers. Avoid is my advice.
Host Mary, upon request for directions from Vancouver, went out of her way to write an extensive response about 3 possible routes. This was highly appreciated. She is a very sweet and concerned host.
The breakfast was quite good. The owner provided milk and juice in the fridge when we got there
The place smelt of dogs. Some of the electric power points did not work. Though there were instructions on working the T.V the remote did not work so the only way to change the channel was by lying in the floor and using the main control.
A cosy and otherwise comfortable accommodation. Spacious enough for our group of 9 persons (two separate apartments and separate bathrooms etc.) Owner is friendly and helpful. Nothing to see in the vicinity but a good stop over point for the long drive towards Jasper National Park.
a) Not enough hot water for shower - only 4 out of our 9 managed to get hot water shower after a day's sweaty travel. Hot water did not come until around 7 am next morning; b) bad ordour/smell in the house; c) frequent fuse jumping on the electrical appliance (though it can be fixed by switching the electrical fuse); d) apparently a dog was running upstairs at around 6 am making a lot of loud noise and disturbing the already not good sleep e) a small insect was found in the salt for cooking.
Good locat ion to visit Wells Gray Provincial park.
Location and comfortable bed.
Kitchen area let it down, doors off cupboards. Noise of dogs on balcony overhead.
the lady was very friendly and helpfully. She gave us a room upgrade, so we had our separat flat on the ground floor. very good breakfast
We were upgraded to a small apt. Lots of fruit at breakfast which host shared with us - a friendly touch. Owner made suggestions as to places to visit.
Would have liked a kettle to make tea.
The communal breakfast was friendly - though choice limited to waffles.
The room lacked any means to make coffee/tea. There was no fridge & no drinking cups/glasses. Advice for a good place to eat was out of date - the recommended restaurant was closed that night.
Comfortable beds, lovely yard to relax.
The host was very friendly and helpfully. She gave us a room upgrate, so we had our separat flat on the ground floor. Delicious breakfast with other friendly guys from Germany.
Everything was perfect
Friendly owner/host. Room was bright
A little cleaner in the corners. A tv would have been welcomed.
Landlady is friendly, provided more info and breakfast is good
Pay attention to "All older children or adults are charged cad 20 per person per night when using existing beds." It is very different from others.
Nice and friendly host.
The place was not clean and needs an overhaul on everything. The apartments had a very bad odor and opening the windows did not help. One apartment smelled like cat pee. We left one night early as we did not feel comfortable there!
