The accommodations were very nice. But I would have been happier if there had just been no breakfast. I would have preferred just having my own in my room.
The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast. You got a voucher for a standard breakfast that was at a restaurant several blocks away. Too far to walk and no sidewalks. The offering was one size fits all. No good for someone who doesn't eat eggs and needs to cut the carbs. And only the coffee was free, not the juice, and the gratuity was added on. The free breakfast wasn't free.
Very friendly staff
Bed was uncomfortable. Decor was poor. And the breakfast voucher is not really for a full breakfast
Being 8 months pregnant I found the beds very comfortable :)
Size of room and cleanliness. Helpfull and courteous staff
A/C did not cool the room and therefore poor sleep
Too noisy. Free breakfast beyond walking distance and a bit missleading.
Great place for price.
Noise.and a bit old
Cheap and cheerful.
Noise from road. Pictures on website flatter to deceive.
Clean, breakfast, good WiFi, nice staff, and a good spot. Great motel. Will stay again.
If you are looking 5 star, this is not it.
Staff were very nice. Room was clean, could tell the owners took a lot of pride in the place.
A little pricy for a much older property. Room AC was not effective. A lot of road noise if opened the window to cool the place down. Hot water ran rusty red for several minutes when turned on in the morning.
Carpet was newer and room was clean. Flat screen TV. Wi-fi was iffy. My wife could connect, I couldn't. Breakfast was a coupon for ABC Country Restaurant.
Coupon didn't cover breakfast and coffee. Had to pay mandatory gratuity and coffee. $8.00 extra charge but breakfast was good.
People outside my room talking and smoking until late at night. It was if they were with me in the room. Also left garbage on tables when finished eating.
Unexpected complimentary breakfast, generous room size.
Not a lot to do in Cranbrook, but we wanted an overnight stop and this motel suited our purpose well
Very helpful staff, very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Great value for the money!
The fellow at the desk was very friendly and helped with my questions as we had never been there before. The long distance calling was great but we were't in the room long. We came in late and went out for new years eve. He didn't hurry us out in the morning which was appreciated.
The restaurant for the coupons wasn't open on New Years Day and the restaurant would't let us have supper and pay the difference. Disappointed in restaurant.
The big room, the microwave and coffeemaker were excellent. Very clean room and very friendly stuff.
The road is to near by the motel. So it was too loud.
We received vouchers for a nice breakfast at ABC restaurant
When we arrived our heater wasn't working and our room was very cold. They got it working as soon as we complained but it took two hours to warm up. We should have asked for another room.
Was easily within walking distance of good restaurants. Desk person was pleasant and knowledgeable. Free breakfast at ABC was a bonus.
A bit too close to the traffic noise but bareable
Very reasonably-priced motel-type place, clean and friendly, with a mall and cinema across the street. It's not the Holiday Inn but perfect for a fast stay or when you want inexpensive. Was even given a $9 breakfast coupon good at a diner nearby.
Friendly staff, subsidized breakfast
narrow, bathroom had no fan
Location and price. accommodating staff!
Busy traffic Hway! Main traffic Corridor east to west and west to east! Built in 1968, a lot of wear and Tear! Carpet fastening strips protruding at main entrance and at Washroom entrance! Maintenance man remedied the Problem quickly!
The rooms were clean in "mostly good repair", as each room seemed to have a repair defect or two. ie: loose tile, loose hinges on window, missing grout on tiles, etc. Nothing major, for an older property. We slept well and paid a low rate. Another plus, for some, would be the coin-op laundry on site, as well as eateries nearby.
The location was handy, being on the main hi-way through town, but the traffic noise was quite loud until after 11:00 pm, or so. There was a $100 per room damage deposit charged to a credit card, which made me uncomfortable due to the fact that I would have little recourse should the motel claim that I damaged the room, there-by keeping the deposit.
I stayed at this location 3 years ago and many improvements have been made with the new owners. I specially enjoyed the breakfast coupons - you could order what you wanted and just paid the difference.
It was inexpensive, on the highway, near other shopping, and had good, helpful staff.
Soundproofing is virtually non-existent, and the forced-air heating system shares vents with at least one other room so I could hear what was going on there. A set of earplugs is highly recommended.
