This completely renovated boutique hotel, in the Latin quarter, opened in the spring of 2003.

Located on St-Denis Street, in the heart of Montreal, in a historical area where you can find plenty of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Here you are within walking distance of festival sites, Old Montreal, downtown and Mont Royal Park.

In the hotel's rooms you will find designer accessories combined with rich deep fabrics, customized wooden furniture, and luxurious decor. Rooms provide you with a dining area, working desk, open kitchen, comfortable couch, and soft bedding.

The restaurant located in the hotel, Le Nil Bleu (the Blue Nile) has been in operation for a long time and very well known in Montreal. The Ethiopian theme, decor and menu makes it a very special place to visit.

Dining in Ethiopia is characterized by the ritual of breaking "ingera" and eating from the same plate, signifying the bonds of loyalty and friendship. The exotic decor features art, musical instruments and print fabrics, which,along with the soft rhythms of African music, create a very peaceful atmosphere.

The restaurant is open 7 days a week, and the full menu is available for room service also.

Anonymous Solo traveller Canada September 14, 2009	It was my first stay at Kutuma. The location is good as it's in the popular Plateau area and also close enough to downtown. The decor was excellent and so was the quality of the room. It's definitely a well designed small boutique hotel. The front desk service leave a lot to be desired. Upon my arrival, there no one there and finally someone came from the adjoining restaurant. When I wanted to checkout the next morning, I also could not find anyone at reception and I had to use my cell phone to call the receptionist who arrived about 10 minutes later. For me, service is what makes or breaks the reputation of a hotel. This hotel needs to improve reception service considerably.	6.5
