Built in 1816 and located in Ontario’s oldest community, Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Historic Wilson-Guy House is just 3 houses down from the shops, theatres and restaurants of Queen Street.
Score from 30 reviews Exceptional
Very welcoming owners and environment. Felt right at home. Beautiful and close to a lot of the main sites in town.
Owner friendly and informative, breakfast's unique and varied, great location near the Shaw Festival theatres and Niagara-On-The-Lake. 1809 house with addition from 1820's filled with corresponding furniture
The only caution for us "mature couples" is all rooms are on the second floor and require climbing a long staircase
The historic house is beautiful and you can feel how proud of it the owners are. Every detail is perfect and the atmosphere it that of an old elegant manor in the countryside. The 4-courses breakfast, served in fine bone china dishware, is delicious (give a try to their home made ice wine gelly!). We were there for work reasons, but still managed to enjoy every bit of that relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it: one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed at! The owners are nice and helpful and know how to make you feel welcome.
I did not like leaving. Seriously, everything was perfect.
Beautifully appointed Victorian home, close to everything but quiet. Amazing gardens and porches for nice weather. Hosts were cordial and informative. Breakfast was amazing. Great B&B experience.
We thought the entire experience was wonderful. Really clean, well maintained B&B. Want to return again next year.
Brockamour manor was a wonderful visit for us. Our hosts were so friendly and the many personal touches they have included make you feel very comfortable . The breakfasts are delicious ...we will definitely visit again.
As a quite frequent tralveller on business as well as privately I really don't know where to start what the best feature of this B&B is.........the lovely house itself with beautiful porches and gardens or the huge loft with the 2 kingsize beds where we resided like queens, the always available water, coffee or tea, the always helpful and friendly service and not to speak about the brilliant breakfast, something I have never experienced before and we even took pictures from it to make the ones who stayed back at home jealous. Resume: From own experience in general the description and picutres from websites mostly overstate the quality, but for Brockamour Manor it does not give complete justice :-)
Nothing negative just a hint - if you are not good on your feet don't book the loft as the stairs are slightly higher the normal stairs.
Carrying the suitcase to the 2nd floor, but bed and breakfast facilities usually never have elevators. So it is expected
Old charm of the building and the room. Multiple gardens that created an intinacy during our stay Confort of the bed and the quality of the linen. Short walk to the centre of town.
Very tasty breakfasts, with dessert! The scones were to die for. One advantage over other B & B's is the three porches on which to sit, allowing a choice of joining others or solitary reading. Beautiful setting, and close enough to town and theatres to either walk or drive.
food our room
The friendliness of the owners. We also enjoyed the free sherry while we played pool. Breakfast was wonderful. Served to us in the dinning room . A very nice treat.
Location is great, rooms are cozy and have everything you need. Nice little touches like complimentary sherry. Lovely front porch to enjoy a glass of wine before heading out for dinner.
Breakfast was a bit formal for us but the food was lovely.
Home was spotless and comfortable. Lovely big and bright room with very comfortable bed. Close proximity to downtown shops and restaurants. Gorgeous outside porches. Delicious full formal breakfasts. Old charm but with modern amenities. Good hours for checking in and out. Beautiful ambiance. Ample parking.
Traffic on streets beside b&b was noisy. Not very welcoming. A bit over priced.
Breakfasts, friendly and helpful hosts, historical setting.
Bed was too soft for me and consequently couldn't get much sleep. Perhaps the mattress should be replaced with one that is medium firm.
We loved our stay at Brockamour Manor and appreciated the care taken by the hosts to ensure everything was maintained at the highest standards. Excellent breakfasts!
Really can't say one negative thing about Brockamour Manor. Beautiful home and grounds, very easy walk to the Queen St high street, and delicious breakfast made with local ingredients. Rick was a hospitable host with an incredible wealth of knowlege about the local area. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
We liked everything from the hosts, to the wonderful breakfasts, to the close location to town and local attractions, and the beautiful appointments at the Inn.
Owners very hospitable and warm. Felt very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. Have already referred friends.
Enjoyed every facet of our stay there. Wasn't anything NOT to like
The facilities are top notch with beautiful antiques, very comfy beds and bathrooms with in floor heating and Jacuzzi tubs. It is the breakfast that takes this to the next level; four courses served at 9am and taking around an hour with lots of time to chat to the other guests at the dining room table. It is like stepping back in time. There are three covered porches to sit and read and enjoy the wine you bought on your wine tours! Coffee, tea and sherry is available all day. It is three blocks to the main street - a very easy walk, where there are restaurants and pubs as well as the theatre. At least 4 wineries are within walking distance: Jackson -Triggs, Peller Estates, Two Sisters and Riverbend. Take a tour as you learn a lot and get tastings with the tour.
This was our 1st experience with a B&B & will definitely not be our last. A beautiful home with welcoming hosts. Our room was perfect in every way with outstanding plentiful breakfasts served. I plan to be back with other family members who would love to experience this exceptional manor. I'm sure it's just a beautiful in the fall & winter as it is in the summer!
Can't say anything negative about the Brockamour Manor B&B.
Brockamour Manor is en excellent property. The owners' attention to detail is second to none. The house was spotless and the facilities excellent. Don't waste money on Falls hotels - if you have a few days stay here and take the shuttle/Wego to the falls. Niagara on the Lake is just beautiful. An excellent stay!
Was all brilliant. Cannot find fault.
Beautiful, authentic mansion close to downtown Niagara on the Lake. Quiet property with lovely grounds with comfortable rooms and beds as well as fully equipped bathrooms. Colleen was a very accommodating and friendly host serving a nice family-style breakfast. Across the street from start of Niagara Ultra Marathon!
