This place has so much character, We just loved it! I can't wait to come back and stay again. Hopefully in suite 7!
We stayed there for 10 nights and had a lovely time. The accommodations were very homey, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and the owner and her girls delightful. I would definitely stay there again.
Outside of the building was a bit worn down but the inside made up for it.
Rooms and furnishings authentic and interesting.
as mentioned previously the staff could have been more engaging.... Also we had requested some toothpaste and or toothbrush and they were unable to supply. this is basic housekeeping for a bed-and-breakfast
We enjoyed a journey into the past in a lovely well appointed suite that could have been 1930. Spotlessly clean rooms with every amenity provided. Our breakfast was graciously served and all we could have wished for. We were not at La Boheme over dinner time.
Very unique and lots of character.. Food was very good.
It look amazing, the place had a feeling of an antique and unique place, I will recommend this hotel
Friendlinessof the staff/management was incredible. Rooms are really nostalgic, cosy and comfortable with a real homelike feeling. Restaurant food was delicious. The genuine feeling of being welcome and invited into this facility.
Having such a short stay.
Warm feeling room. Feel like home. Very clean. Vintage style.
A bit far from train station by walk. But you have one bus pass just in front of hotel.
clean, large. lots of character. accommodating staff. friendly. great central location. food was delicious
the heat. was too warm with boiler heat
We loved the history that has been preserved. It has a really great feel. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but perfect. It had everything to make our stay exactly what we needed. We didn't spend much time in hotel or area, as it was only used to sleep, but I would love to stay again in different circumstances to take full advantage of the stay.
Room was right on main road, and windows were very noisy due to traffic, as the air conditioner unit didn't fit tight into window - but I come from a small town that has minimal traffic noise.
La Boheme is a unique place to stay. It is historic and this should be taken into account when stopping there. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not for you. However, we wanted to experience this piece of history and enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was fresh and extra portions were not an issue. We would have not hesitation is staying at La Boheme in the future.
The most amazing place I've ever been. I go here every year for my anniversary. Food amazing. Room amazing. Atmosphere amazing. Love it.
We stayed at LaBoheme while attending a family reunion in the neighborhood. The location was wonderful-in a quiet, gentile residential area. I remember this heritage building from my childhood and was pleased to be staying in it. It is furnished with pieces appropriate to bygone eras-very comfortable, charming and spacious. There is no elevator so if you are not capable of climbing a flight of stairs, this is not for you. However, we will be back every time we are in Edmonton!
All I can say is this is my favorite home away from home! I will never stay anywhere in Edmonton other than the La Boheme. The staff the atmosphere everything is spectacular!
The rooms were a lovely mix of modern and 1912.
loved the old rooms they have a lot of character food in restaurant is ok but overpriced
the location it is out of the way not really within walking distance of anything important its right in the middle of an old neighbourhood no stores or even a corner store around plus if anybody else is staying and decide to use the rear deck at night you better have ear plugs or forget about sleeping
Interesting old building, nice rooms
Bathroom has been kept in style, but is in fact outdated and inconvenient; price is a bit on the high side
Very pleasant experience. The breakfast was delicious (excellent coffee especially!)
Service was great. Location was perfect, just minutes from Rexall. My bed was really comfortable. I loved that there was a patio. I really liked the look of the place. All in all a great place to go. Will definitely go back.
My friends bed was hard. We had a strange odor coming from the bathroom. I didn't use the wifi. I guess I should of asked for the password but never did.
Historic building, quiet location.
Dusty room (dead flies on the window sill, dusty shelves). Mattress in one room was very old and saggy. No real kitchenette despite this being listed as an amenity when booking the room. Didn't feel very comfortable in the room.
Fresh croissants in the morning were the best part of this b and b. Beautiful old furniture and old world feel.
Bed was very uncomfortable. It needs updating like the rug going up the stairs.
heritage of the 100-year old building was interesting & the reason why we booked there, continental breakfast was limited but tasty, two-bedroom suite was same price as one-bedroom suite, dinner in the restaurant was well-presented and excellent in terms of taste but relatively expensive
eight bouquets of artificial flowers made the suite seem dated, dowdy, and dusty; building generally quite shabby, in need of maintenance, new rugs, working lamps; television was ancient & reception rather poor; cost was high given the limitations of the facilities
Rooms are beautiful, some old stuff have long history.we love this restaurant.
The decoration, the service, the food, the heating.
Maybe that it was quite far from Downtown, but the bus stops were right next to the entrance so it made up for it.
Opened up a little early to accomodate our early arrival Excellent sized room (great for long term stay)
Bed was hard Smell of natural gas from kitchen (directly below our room) Furnishings and decor could use a little attention (old TV with VHS player, remove all together, useless)
