Yves, our host was very friendly and immediately made us feel at home. He gave us some suggestions for restaurants for dinner. The breakfast was great, nicely served at a time convenient for us. We had a great stay.

There wasn't much to not like!

We were warmly greeted and received very attentive service. The B&B has a beautiful view across the river and is only a short drive to Riviere-du-Loup. A First-rate breakfast was served. In addition very useful regional information was provided.

The place was nice,clean and quiet. They were closed for renovations but still accepted our reservation since everything else was full. They could not offer breakfast (due to renovations) but reduced the price accordingly without me even asking.

Yves, our host was very hospitable and a fantastci cook. We were offered cocktails on arrival. He booked us in to a local reataurant for dinner and lit a fire for us in the common room. The rooms were delightful and we were given port and choclates before bed. The breakfast was to die for.

Be aware that this B and B is on the edge of town. There is a lovely French restaurant within easy walking distance but no other shops around. It is a 5 or 10 minute cab ride from Riviere Du Loupe bus station.

We stayed there on our way back home and we regretted not have stayed longer! It was just perfect and we will certainly go back! Awesome breakfast, nice owner, really clean and beautiful room.

Yves is a delightful host, the view is lovely, the inn is warm and welcoming, the food delicious and beautifully presented. A short walk to Auberge sur Mer, where we had the best supper of our trip.

This place was amazing ! Perfectly clean, very nicely decorated, welcoming host, rooms are comfortable with space. And perfect bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious and creative, with samples of local production, and a fabulous egg nest toast. This was the best B&B of our trip. Bravissimo...

Everything was SUPERB, LIKE visiting a cousin, with a very professional and friendly atmosphere, We would return, and hope to book for 2 nites the food is exquisite, the view of the St Lawrence River is unbelievable and the entire property is spotless.

The owner/operator was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and he took the time to explain all the locally grown and produced foods.

La Halte Du Verger was in a beautiful location just on the St Laurence River, with a great quiet, rural feel, with well-situated patios to look out over the water - while only a short drive to the town of Riviere du Loup for dinner. The owner was friendly and accommodating without being overbearing or intrusive - which is ideal. We were brought welcome cocktails, and even a small platter of grapes, chocolate, and sherry in the evening! The breakfast was delicious and gourmet and kept us totally full for our drive to Montreal. We chose the b&b because it was a good stopping place on our way from Halifax to Montreal, and it ended up being a total treat and mini vacation - the best b&b we'd ever stayed at!

Absolument tout était parfait. de l'accueil jusqu'au départ. Pas une seule fausse note. on voit bien que tout est fait avec passion

Service personnalisé et courtois.. Super belle décoration! On se sent comme à la maison, sans le ménage à faire! Déjeuner excellent! On a adoré notre séjour!

L'accueil et la situation

Zunächst einmal: Das Halte du Verger war vielleicht das beste B&B, in dem wir bis jetzt übernachtet haben! Der Besitzer Yves ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zum Empfang gibt es einen Welcome Drink und abends ein "Betthupferl". Zudem ist Yves sehr hilfsbereit bei der Abendplanung und hat zahlreiche Ausgehtipps parat. Die Haus strotzt nur so vor Gemütlichkeit und verfügt über individuell gestaltete Zimmer, eine Lounge-/Leseecke, ein Wohnzimmer mit Kamin. Mehrere Zimmer haben eigene Bäder. Das allerbeste ist das Frühstück, was mit sehr viel Mühe und Liebe zum Detail zubereitet wird und eher einem 3-Gänge Menü ähnelt. Es liegt weit über dem, was man (auch bei einem hevorragenden) B&B erwarten könnte.

L'accueil chaleureux du proprio, le coktail d'arrivee , la décoration du gîte très soigne, la qualité de la chambre petit porto en rentrant de promenade, le petit déjeuner raffine avec dégustation de fromages . La vue du gîte sur le Saint Laurent, tout était parfait une adresse à recommander, excellent rapport qualité prix.

ospitalità inanzitutto... fantastica. I padroni di casa sono esquisiti, gentili, educati e socievoli. Colazione fantastica.

Un personal molt amable I detallista, una habitació àmplia I confortable. Una ubicació molt bona.

L`acceuil chaleureux de yves sa capacité de nous mettre a l`aise immédiatement, son excellente table,son excellent service (ex les petits portos dans notre chambre) et cette belle impression de nous sentir chez nous, tout était parfait

Accueil sympathique et chaleureux. Chambre confortable et petit déjeuner recheché.
