The location was perfect. Everything we wanted to see and do was in walking distance. Loved out trip!
The location was excellent, close to restaurants and almost all of the most exciting tourist attractions. For those outings a bit out of walking distance, it was right beside Place D'Youville where I could catch a bus or a taxi. The apartment was excellent, spacious and Jocelyn, the owner was friendly and helpful.
A very small thing was that I liked to cook in my kitchen. While all the needed equipment was there, the knives could use a sharpening. See! A very small and niggly thing. It didn't affect my positive experience in the slightest.
Very comfortable apartment for two people. Very close to all sights in old Quebec. Very friendly owner. Good kitchen. Laundry facilities. CD player.
Carrying bags up to second floor but it is an old building so you have to expect that. Ceiling height in mezzanine bedroom is a little low in spots.
We loved the large apartment which gave us breathing room. We also loved that the apartment hotel had character and charm. Linens were clean and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Must be able to climb many stairs. Another comfortable chair or two needed in the living area for relaxing. Needed an alarm clock.
There is nothing to dislike about this property. It is close to everything in Old Quebec plus there are good regional public transport connections; for egsample, the Montmorency Falls
The only criticism would be that the bedroom is upstairs meaning one has to walk down the stairs to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.
The location was perfect - easy walk anywhere in the old city. The kitchen was full size, well equipped and clean. A beautiful old home with stone walls, really deep window sills and a lovely deck.
There clearly is no smoking prohibition. The apartment and the furniture smelled.
Spacious, spacious spacious! Convenient location - near eastern gate of upper Vieux Quebec quiet street No B&B, but so many ameneties to cook! Great value for the location! Tub In very character "bel ancien" (nice old building) - brick walls, wood frame - so tasteful, and in keeping with the rest of Quebec which is probably the most beautiful city in Canada! (and probably North America!)
Carpet was dated, but the price was good value, so can't really complain.
Convenience to sights, full kitchen, comforts of home
Cigarette smoke imbedded in apt. Noisy street at night, glaring light from church across the street
You can't beat the location. In old town but quick walk to Conference center. Quiet street. Safe access. Little courtyard is lovely.
The pull-out couch mattress is pretty uncomfortable. I would stay here again but would bring a air mattress next time for the kids :)
It is exactly what we needed. We wanted to cook our own food, and had no problem not having room service. It is located very close to all the festivals and restaurants.
We totally enjoyed our courtyard and upstairs patio. Close to all the major attractions but far enough away that you could escape to somewhere quite. Thank you for a wonder time.
Jocelyn (our host) was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The room was lovely, it had lots of character and everything we needed for our stay was there when we checked in. Fabulous location, close to rue St. Jean, Place d'Youville, Chateau Frontenac, and the Plains of Abraham. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Location was fantastic - playground just around the corner for kids, steps from all the major old Quebec attractions, yet very quiet. Three foot thick stone walls will do that! Bus stop right outside the front door (not that we could hear the bus) that was very convenient.
This was not an issue for us, but like in most buildings in this area there are lots of stairs.
The enthusiasm of the staff.
Much of the seasoning or condiments are out of date when we would like to cook in the home.
Jocelyn is awesome. Always working to make the place look good. I appreciate the effort.
Ideal location, easy walking distance to upper and lower districts of old Quebec. Quick access to local markets and shops. Separate loft area bedroom provides much more space than typical hotel room or suite. Outdoor grill, patio and rooftop terrace to use for dining or relaxing. Friendly and accommodating host. Kitchen has basic equipment for meal prep and full refrigerator. Great value for the money. Clean and very comfortable.
Window AC unit in bedroom runs continuously in summer, noisy and tends to hum and vibrate. The bed itself is comfortable but the wooden platform squeaks with any movement, potentially disrupting for any light sleepers. Clawfoot tub has surround style plastic curtains for showers.
Close to everything. It was the best location because we could eat and shop on St. Jean one block away and it was a 5 minute walk to Chateau Frontenac. Super clean. Loved our private terrace in Coach House. Sat outside in the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything was in good condition. I would recommend this place to anyone who is able to manage the stairs up to the bedroom and the clawfoot tub.
Air conditioner in upstairs bedroom was quite noisy. A couple of nights people were on the deck on top of our unit late at night which made it a bit noisy though the air conditioner covered a lot of it. The bathtub is a clawfoot tub that was hard to get in and out of and the shower curtain around it was a bit awkward safety wise.
Location is great and staff is awesome. The apartment had all you need for your stay. Price was great also
My apartment was on 3rd floor and was too hard for my 75 year old dad.
The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The sights of Vieux Quebec were easily within walking distance. The apartment was very comfortable, and had a cozy ambiance. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable, and it was wonderfully cozy to sit by a burning log in the fireplace during the late season snow storm. We would love it if there was an apartment like this everywhere we travel.
The front bedroom window shade did not block the light from the street light at night. Otherwise, the least-liked part of our stay was having to leave.
Great location and a very helpful host.
Staying in the old city. Facility comes with kitchen and fireplace. Cozy, private place in the heart of vieux Québec.
Having to leave!
