Charming B&B near ferry to Quebec City. Great breakfasts!
We were somewhat limited since we hadn't rented a car. Would do so if we stay here again.
I was recommended to try and get accomodation in Levis by a contact in the UK whose daughter lives in Quebec. The ferry across was really good and old Levis terrific.
Throw away catering ie plastic and paper utensils in the cheaper hotels and cafes. Never eat Poutain again!
Incredible silence at night, wonderful view of the river from our window, and elegant breakfast. We were given a map to walk around Levis and took the ferry to Quebec. The stairs of the cliff on the way back get even steeper after a day walking in the city.
Veranda for breakfast with lovely view of the St. Lawrence River.
Hospitality Food Service Location Everything
The location was perfect, a short ferry ride across to Quebec City. The room was comfortable and quiet. The decor was tasteful. We were welcomed with excellent local cheese and dried fruit in our room. When we returned from our evening in Quebec city we sat on the porch and enjoyed a quiet beutiful evening and atmosphere. We ate the gourmet breakfast on the Louisiana style porch.
I can't think of anything.
A previous reviewer said almost all (location, view, ferry, bicycle orientation (we are cyclists and did the excellent bike path along the South shore of the St. Lawrence), cheese plates, breakfasts and wi-fi.) We can add that there is a player piano that operates! Had never seen one before and the staff was happy to demonstrate it for us and the other guests. One should mention that the walk to and from the ferry involves some serious climbing, as most of levis is well above the river.
The B&B is a beautiful XIXth century house, full of charme just as the hospitality that you find there. We stayed for 2 nights, feeling at home. Breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect, just 5 min on foot from the ferry, which connects Levis to old Quebec in 10 minutes. free parking is available in front of the B&B. Levis offers several options for dinner in its main street.
Location was terrific, walked to ferry which runs on a regular basis. We liked not having to worry about finding parking in Old Quebec. Felix is delightful and prepared and served us a wonderful breakfast. It isn't often a grandmother and grandson work together.
The air conditioning unit was high on one wall and hadn't been pointed out to us, we didn't see it until the next morning which was unfortunate.
We loved the traditional breakfasts, the quiet area and relaxing veranda. We had a nice room with a view of the St. Lawrence and the Chateau Frontenac.
We hadn't been warned about the number of stairs that we needed to manage to get to the ferry. The stairs were tiring to manage at the end of the day after trekking around the city!
Location with a great view of the Quebec harbor. The view as the sun sets is spectacular. The ferry is only a few minutes walk away and runs very frequently. This is Velo approved and there is secured storage for bikes and trikes, excellent. The owners are very friendly and genuinely interested in making the stay very comfortable. The cheese plate on arrival was an excellent touch. The breakfasts were well prepared, there were different choices each day ordered the previous evening. Parking was adequate. Quiet location but in easy walking distance of the local restaurants.
location, hosts, food, and the elm tree!
Quiet street in Old Levis close to ferry for Quebec. Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast served outside on the veranda with a view of Quebec. Bicycle storage. Genial host who offered suggestions for dining and where to go for the best view of the city across the river.
The hill to get there from the ferry but Quebec and Levis are hilly cities and it was well worth it once we got there.
