Water accumulated in the Room A/C had to be emptied a couple of times at night.
We had a very enjoyable stay with Elizabeth and Maggie for our two nights in Quebec. Elizabeth gave us a great orientation upon arrival wherein she pointed out some great places to walk and visit as tourists. The two bedroom apartment was a perfect place for two couples.
- friendly - clean as at home - tips and tricks around Quebec received - got mobile A/C unit in-room due to the hot weather condition - many thanks!!!
all was OK
Elisabeth's hospitality was unbeatable, and she keeps her home immaculate. The apartment was huge. We enjoyed staying in a real neighborhood a short distance from the tourist area of old Quebec City.
We had a wonderful stay at La Victorienne. The place was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and the breakfasts cooked by Elizabeth were incredible.
Like others have said, the location is somewhat far from the old city. We knew this and went anyway - it's totally fine if you enjoy walking or don't mind taking the bus.
Tips from the owner on where and how to go. Breakfast was especially good and gourmet.
Neighborhood looks a bit run down.
Owner was very proactive in offering tips on getting around. Breakfasts were remarkably creative and delicious.
It was a wonderful support by Elizabeth during our stay. We get nice tips for restaurants and where to go and anytime we follow them we had a great expirience. The 3km distance to down-town were completely compensated by a detailed instruction into the bus schedules. We will stay again at E's B&B if we are in Quebec again. Iris&Jonathan&Andreas, Germany
The host was extremely helpful with tourist information and very welcoming. We felt like we were visiting an old friend. The breakfast was amazing...fine food and very healthy! She took care of making sure the room was cool for when we got back in the evening and the resident golden retriever was a lovely addition to the "homey" feeling! We will be back....
Plse ask for the only room not on the street side. This street is soooo noisy!!!
We only live 3 1/2 hours from Quebec City and had never gone while living in Vt. for the past 43 years. Our stay with Elizabeth at her B and B was so wonderful that we want to go back soon. We're vegan and she made us the best breakfasts we have ever had. She told us every thing we needed to know. We also like to walk and the B and B is a wonderful walk to the old City. Terrific!!
There wasn't anything we didn't like!
This is a beautiful, historic home. Elizabeth is knowledgeable and helpful about the area.
You are not allowed to wear shoes in the house! Even as we were trudging in with our suitcases, we had to stop to take off our shoes. Elizabeth was also very strict about not interrupting her while she gave us the "low down" on the city. Even my exclamations of "that sounds wonderful" were viewed as interruptions! As beautiful and well maintained as the house is, if you don't like being treated this way, this house is not for you! Other things you should know: there is onsite parking. It was fine for my Honda Fit but I'm glad I didn't take my minivan, it would have been a tight fit. Also, only the bedrooms are air conditioned. Unfortunately, my daughter stayed in a room with a combination air conditioner and humidifier. We were visiting during a particularly humid time and my daughter was woken up every two hours by the alarm indicating the humidifier chamber was full and had to be emptied. For those with allergies, be aware there is a dog, albeit a very pleasant one in the house.
We really enjoyed our stay. Elizabeth, the owner of BB, was very helpful and friendly. She gave us directions and tips. Also, she prepared us delicious breakfast every morning. Thanks Elizabeth!
The hostess goes up and beyond to assist guests. Thank you Elisabeth!
Had an incredible time in Quebec City. La Victorienne is clean, charming and located in a really interesting part of town. The hostess is extremely accommodating and a pleasure to be around. The breakfasts are out of this world and we highly enjoyed all of her recommendations! Would definitely stay here again! Oh...and she has the sweetest dog ;)
Elisabeth was very helpful with the directions and ideas where to take our parents who can not walk for long distance walk. She was so great in explaining to us and what's worth seeing in our short stay.
The top rooms was not suitable for the elderly. Too many stairs for our parents.
Beautiful, clean, accommodations. A huge homemade breakfast. Elizabeth was very helpful with directions and tourism info. and restaurant suggestions.
Freshness and variety of breakfast helpful information about the City
Elizabeth the owner was fabulous, a great host and made us all a delicious breakfast every morning. we miss her already.
Delicious breakfasts, spacious accommodations, and camaraderie with our charming and hard-working hostess and fellow travelers.
Excellent owner....Elizabeth was incredibly helpful and put her kitchen and her sitting room at our disposal. We really enjoyed her company and sense of humour. Beautiful imaginative breakfasts ((veggie for us). Out of town but very handy for buses. Comfortable and well equipped. Would not hesitate to recommend or go back.
One tiny reservation only...it's not in the poshest part of town, but it's perfectly safe andconvenient .
Everything about this b and b was top notch.
Great accommodations, fantastic food! Elisabeth (owner) was very helpful. She suggested a handful of places to see during our stay which was perfect as we had little planned. Would most definitely recommend.
Very nice house and decoration. Very friendly owner.
Very pleasant bed and breakfast where our host made us feel very welcome. She cooked a different healthy breakfast every day. She was full of useful tips and information on what to see and where to eat in Quebec.
Slightly further from the 'Centre' than anticipated but still walkable if you are up for it.
