Wonderful host, great breakfast and a quick walk to all the best spots of Quebec City! Wonderful!
Beds weren't as comfortable as I'd have liked.
Elisabeth was extremely friendly and helpful. She recommended two restaurants, both of which were nearby and were excellent.
Only a minor issue for us, because we enjoy walking, but it was about a 30 minute walk to Old Quebec.
Elizabeth was most helpful in giving us ideas as to where to go. She. Spends one on time with each guest. Breakfast was different from what we are used to, but was excellent as well.
What a welcoming household. A little off the beaten path, but plenty of local charm. Listen to Elizabeth's tips, she is very knowledgeable of her city and culture, and takes obvious pride in both. Extremely clean and very charming decor. We enjoyed every second of our stay... Despite the rain. MERCI et Bravo!
That we couldn't stay longer!
Superb breakfasts! An exceptional host who was very helpful. An excellent place to stay!
Fantastic breakfast and Elizabeth the owner was very helpful, informative and welcoming! We loved the walk into downtown; within 30minutes we were by the ocean enjoying the spectacular views.
Elisabeth is such a lovely welcoming person. Very knowledgeable with suggestions on exploring Quebec City The home is beautiful and immaculate. Our room very very spacious. Each morning greated with a gourmet breakfast made with local produce from the old market.
Elizabeth was a wealth of information and a great hostess. Breakfast was well thought out and healthy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Definitely will go again and highly recommend to others.
the owner was very helpful with descriptions of where to go, what to see and how to get there. The breakfast was a delight with a different menu each morning. Use of the kitchen to make a hot drink after the days' excursion was most appreciated. The owner was friendly and fluent in many languages. She listened with interest and recommended sights and restaurants that would appeal to us.
The personal touch, it's unique. The owner was fantastic and her breakfasts were amazing. The owner really takes pride in her business. The rooms were spotless.
The breakfast was top class. Elisabeth is a very friendly and helpfull housekeeper.
Elisabeth is a first rate inn keeper. She knows where to go,what to do and how to get there plus is willing share her knowledge of the city. Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this place to anyone.
We first thought the bus ride to Old Town would be a problem but it was not at all. We have never used buses much so was surprised to see how convient it was. Actually believe it was better staying here and riding the bus. This way ,we were able to get away from the busy crowds each day.
Water accumulated in the Room A/C had to be emptied a couple of times at night.
Elisabeth was very helpful with maps, bus advice & sightseeing tips. Her three course breakfasts were amazing.
We loved the passion and expertise of our host, Elizabeth. Elizabeth's willingness to share her knowledge of the city; her delicious and inventive breakfasts; and her ability to facilitate conversations between her guests made our stay truly enjoyable and unforgettable. The inn was also immaculately clean and our room was quite comfortable.
We had a very enjoyable stay with Elizabeth and Maggie for our two nights in Quebec. Elizabeth gave us a great orientation upon arrival wherein she pointed out some great places to walk and visit as tourists. The two bedroom apartment was a perfect place for two couples.
- friendly - clean as at home - tips and tricks around Quebec received - got mobile A/C unit in-room due to the hot weather condition - many thanks!!!
all was OK
Elisabeth's hospitality was unbeatable, and she keeps her home immaculate. The apartment was huge. We enjoyed staying in a real neighborhood a short distance from the tourist area of old Quebec City.
We had a wonderful stay at La Victorienne. The place was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and the breakfasts cooked by Elizabeth were incredible.
Like others have said, the location is somewhat far from the old city. We knew this and went anyway - it's totally fine if you enjoy walking or don't mind taking the bus.
Tips from the owner on where and how to go. Breakfast was especially good and gourmet.
Neighborhood looks a bit run down.
Owner was very proactive in offering tips on getting around. Breakfasts were remarkably creative and delicious.
It was a wonderful support by Elizabeth during our stay. We get nice tips for restaurants and where to go and anytime we follow them we had a great expirience. The 3km distance to down-town were completely compensated by a detailed instruction into the bus schedules. We will stay again at E's B&B if we are in Quebec again. Iris&Jonathan&Andreas, Germany
The host was extremely helpful with tourist information and very welcoming. We felt like we were visiting an old friend. The breakfast was amazing...fine food and very healthy! She took care of making sure the room was cool for when we got back in the evening and the resident golden retriever was a lovely addition to the "homey" feeling! We will be back....
Plse ask for the only room not on the street side. This street is soooo noisy!!!
We only live 3 1/2 hours from Quebec City and had never gone while living in Vt. for the past 43 years. Our stay with Elizabeth at her B and B was so wonderful that we want to go back soon. We're vegan and she made us the best breakfasts we have ever had. She told us every thing we needed to know. We also like to walk and the B and B is a wonderful walk to the old City. Terrific!!
