staff, facility, room, bathroom...
restaurant, road condition,
We arrived At 1 AM in the morning. The front office was closed but had a courtesy phone for service. We were booked in by security and he had us follow him to the right complex. Every bit of the stay at this resort was a pleasure. My compliments to the staff at the front desk, housekeeping, groundskeeping and especially the security guard that helped us check in that first night. We will definitely stay at this facility again!
It's a few minutes drive out of town but well worth the drive!
It was very quiet and the room was clean.
The facilities are very run down and the grounds need some TLC. If you're wanting to explore Kelowna and the surrounding area, it's a long treacherous drive in and out of the resort. Very expensive for what you get.
The view Good value
A little far from Kelowna
We liked the view.
The pull out bed was the worst bed I have ever used, it could not have been any worst. You have to pay extra for the dishes. What kind of deal is that?
Location was far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Lake great and the amenties was awesome
The windy road
Nice location overlooking the lake. 9-hole golf course was great.
Kokanee building very old, outdated; room very dark and unappealing. Arrived Sept 5 to no food or bar service, or breakfast in the a.m.. Pool that was open was too far to walk to. This was not a resort experience - it was 2 nights in an old motel room that should have cost not more than $80 rather than $125.
It was on lake Okanogan.
From the moment we drove down that long and windy road that is miles away from town, to be greeted by the most unfriendly staff and unhelpful , so disappointing ! The Resort is stuck in the 80'S. It is so outdated. The main pool is in dire need of a huge haul over . I am suprised it is still working , they have umbrellas at the pool side that are broken and fallen over and not one staff member came and fixed or moved them the week we were stuck there cause it was the middle of summer and everything else was booked up . They have a beach area( if you can even call it that ). I can keep going on , trust me, just DOnT go there ! You will be wasting your money . You really will .
The resort is old and in need of an update to the rooms. Our building was at the end of the lot - a long walk to the main facilities. Did not expect the resort to be so far out of Kelowna on a long and winding road.
The room we stayed in level 4 had an amazing view of the lake. Our door opened up to a large patio area with a barbeque and picnic table. Not every level had this option so you would have to request it.They also provided nice chairs outside your room to lounge in the sun. Some of the staff members went out of there way to be helpful. The property is 20 minutes from town so if you like to be in a peaceful setting I would recommend this property as long as you dont mind that it is very dated.
The hotel is very dated and extremely hilly. There is no maid service at $300 a night.
They provided dirty rooms and then said they are sorry and couldnt do anything becasue the staff is gone for the day.
The worse was the location on the site: we were very far away from the lake (10 minute-walk) and even though there was supposed to be a pool in our area, it was closed and nobody knew why and the staff did not look like they wanted to help us. When you walk on the site, you can observe paint that is peeling off the balcony, as well as the fences all around the place. The rooms also look very old. This place definitely needs to be renewed. If you go there, ask to be close to the lake. I expected a more upscale place for the price we were paying so this was disappointing. The staff were not really helpful either so service was also disappointing.
Private beach, nice room
Seems to be a number of families who likely own places and return each year... Plenty of tweens and teens, completely unsupervised, who made our stay at the resort quite uncomfortable at times. Please keep an eye on underage drinking, it was rampant at the pools and hot tubs.
Kids liked golf best. Gym was available .
Resort is old, tired , in disrepair and rooms are too hot in summer months. AC is available yet so loud one cannot sleep with it on. 17 km road is is a challenge late at night when darker.
The lake view from the resort. The shuttle guy in the resort he was so polite and very helpful in answering all the questions about the resort.
The room was end of the resort which is not near to anything,no view nothing,so boring where our room was. Staff need to be more polite and more knowledge about everything. They over charged us when we checked out. When we called them they were so rude answering our questions about the over charge, and not willing to negotiate. I spent 35 mnts talking to them till they figure they are mistaken and decided to pay me back the extra over charge. Also we arrived at 11.30pm to the resort the grocery store is close the restaurant close nothing is open to get drinking water for my family. They should keep to bottles of water in the fridge and charge for it if used. Its very nice place but need more professional staff to work there. House cleaner they are not clean at all.
Decor, lack of maintenance around pool areas, food in the restaurant
Staff was great, we had a room in the older kingfisher building it was clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony. We will be returning next year :)
The grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept.
The room we were in was dated, creaky floors, smelled musty.
The location is good, although would not be recommended for anyone with mobility issues due to the hilly environment.
Our room was outdated and not at all like the photos that the resort shows on their web site. We were told that those are the renovated rooms and need to be specifically requested. Pretty shady when that's what you think you're getting in the first place. The air conditioning was a small, inefficient piece of garbage, located in the bedroom. It did nothing to cool the rest of the suite. The balcony was filthy, with years-old cobwebs and dead bugs galore. The restaurant service for the one breakfast we had there was appalling, even though the restaurant wasn't busy.
The facilities and resort are excellent. Beds were comfortable. Had everything we needed. BBQ, kitchen ,etc.
The room was outdated, really needs to be updated, carpet and furnishing was old and gross.
Always squeaking deck on the beach. Beach should be cleaned every day.
the resort was veryout of the wayso it was nice that way but full of families
the staff are all young peoplethe wifi did not work
Good restaurant though. Live entertainment was good.
Stairs, roads in and out of resort. Way too steep for comfort. Lack of adequate air conditioning. Only bedroom had air rest of the place was stinking hot.
My young family stayed at Lake Okanagan for a family wedding. The location is beautiful, the beach is beautiful and the staff was as accommodating as they could be, both in the office, shuttle drivers, and at the beach.
The resort is built into a hillside, with several different blocks of rooms. This makes them difficult to find and dragging luggage up and down several flights of stairs. At seven months pregnant I found this to be doable but irritating, especially that there was not a large disclaimer on the website so I could have booked a room with less stairclimbing needed. The staff did offer shuttle and bellhop service, although that was not always available at convenient times.
Beautiful scenery. But miles from anywhere
Impossible to locate. Too far to the closest main road and 30 minutes from Kelowna
