Lanes Privateer Inn  

Food was good, especially breakfast; location on the water.

Inn is run down; carpeting in rooms is dirty; cobwebs in corners of ceilings; 60s era washrooms; cracks in entrance doors large enough to feel a draft/see light; attitude of all staff/waiters we encountered was mediocre, at best.

Warm welcome, friendly staff, comfortable room with all amenities. Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent beer at the bar. Relaxed atmosphere.

Centrally located and very accommodating to its' guests

It was classy but casual. Offered both worlds. You have a few things to do at the inn books/gourmet shop.

Our experience was very good. A few things we would suggest would be an elevator. Very expensive but such a nice touch for people with health issues. Don't ask your guest at all when they would like breakfast. Even though there are only a few guests in the building it is not good to let other guests know that you are not full. I really did not like having to decide when staff came in. For breakfast it would be much better to give a dollar value instead of 3 items to choose from. Most of the items were of the same value. Lastly in the pub you need to offer a few pub things, baked wings and a pizza would be a great addition to your pub setting. Just a few suggestions, but if these things could bring more business to your inn why not try them. We really did enjoy our evening there - but having travelled quite a bit these were a few things that really stood out. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

No elevator very steep stairs. Curtain backing needed replacing. No stated music available in pub. Not an extensive gift shop as stated on website.

Friendly staff - good dining.

The facilities looked old - needed upgrading. Pipes along ceiling of room were ugly. The verandas and railings needed repainting.

The food, the beer and the staff were terrific and we had a great time. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Ten minutes walk in one direction to Sobeys and tim Hortons. Three minutes in the other to the town centre which is quiet but pleasant. And handy for the Tressell Trail.

I felt that we should not have to pay a $10 / per person cover charge for the entertainment as we were guests of the Inn

The staff was excellent, really friendly. The room was adorable, looked like stepping into a bedroom in someone's home. Liked having a pub and restaurant on site so no need to go anywhere after checking in. Absolutely superb breakfast the next morning which was complimentary as well.

It was a very old inn right on the water. It had ambiance and charm as well as excellent food. The staff were very accomadating. The room rate included an excellent choice of three breakfast meals. The small town this inn is located in is safe to walk around, have lovely victorian homes to see.

It has no elevator so if you are elderly and not used to stairs that would perhaps be a problem.

It's a quiet and charming place.There's a place outside where you can sit and watch the sea.The restaurant it's what I had love the most.The service was excellent and the food was just perfect!!!Even the breakfast bread was special!!!!

Staff was very helpful and friendly, dinner and breakfast delicious. The hotel location is excellent and the view on the lake beautiful - especially if you get there just around sunset time. Very good value for money and great location also in terms of vicinity to the Keji National Seaside Park, which is a must-see.

The rooms are very clean, but furniture and style a bit outdated. However, we enjoyed our stay at Lanes Privateer Inn and would go back anytime.

The food was excellent

The building is old and I could smell the dust in the air all the time. Very close to a busy road, so traffic noise is in the background. The door to our room was a nice wood door but you could see light through cracks that had developed in the door

Breakfast was very good, and better than mosst hotels.

Stgairs are difficult for a person using a cane.

J'aime que l hôtel donne sur le lac, que soit rattache à l'hôtel une boutique café et une épicerie de luxe, le personnel est charmant, la chambre avait un côté très british. Le petit déjeune était très bon.

Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were clean. Pullout couch was an asset.

Rooms had been upgraded since my last stay. Good beds and good water pressure. Food was good, but I found it overpriced. Your quesadillas were $10.95 +4.95 for chicken +2.50 for guacamole. Really!!!! I travel a lot, eat quesadillas a lot. Never paid that price, ever!!!

We had a great room, the king suite, so it was a very comfortable, quiet getaway. The food was fabulous.

I enjoyed my stay and would certainly consider spending more time there in the future.
