Having to pay for parking when I already paid for the hotel.
Location, how easy you can check-in and out.
Noisy air con and during our last night (entire night) a party was going on in the room next door. Although many guests had complained about it several times concierge and staff were not able to stop it. No sleep at all!
Location Beds Check-in and service
Lighting in the bathroom is poor
We walked to the Sheraton from the train station. The location was perfect for a Montreal weekend. The room was comfortable. Loved the pool. The lounge on the 37th floor hit the spot.
Location to downtown, Queen Elizabeth may have been better.
The proximity to the loud firehall!
Location was very good. Staffs very firendly.
Room too bright, curtains do not cover window very well. Washroom has a bit of odour despite cleaned daily. AC is still the stand alone unit in the room, very noisy.
The customer services on infront desk was exellent, she was very patient and I appreciate.
Services in bar and in resturant were not good, my daughter was 16 and she didn't know about the policy of resturant in hotel, their attitude wasn't fair! They should explain more kind
Clean, well situated, beds are very comfortable. Friendly staff
Room was a bit small, lighting in bathroom is poor. Would have liked a fridge in our room. Restaurant is expensive.
No WiFi, Payment for luggage after checkout. I know it is only $3 but could have been courtesy. Add that to the room rate.
We booked a queen size room but were told booking.com booked us a double. My receipt clearly said queen. The room was very dusty and there were dishes outside our room for two days.
Noise and very busy at lobby
Staff was very nice and accomodating. My room was clean and room service food was tasty and delivered promptly.
The walls are quite thin. I could hear every conversation spoken in a normal tone of voice coming from the adjoining room.
no Minibar, no water in the room. I got really thirsty at night, had to walk down to the lobby to change money for using the vendor machines...
All the facilities were great, nice front office staff, comfortable beds. For sure the best hotel in Montreal for me. In this city all the hotels are old and extremely dirty. My experience is based on stays in Intercontinental, Omni-Mont Royal and Hilton Airport. For me the best of all these was Sheraton.
Good hotel but still could make more for being more clean! Especially on the 19th floor! I stayed there twice and the first time on 15th floor everything was perfect, but only three days later on the 19th was not the same! There was some issue with the electrical installation in room 1901. Also the cleaning lady did not clean under the beds and sofas. We found a blouse from previous occupant under one of the chairs!?! And last but not least - as any other hotel in Montreal this was NOISY too. I did not found a quiet hotel in this town. This was the main reason for all the searches and changes of hotel, but in vain. All the hotels have no noise isolation. You feel like you are on the street.
I had to pay for parking so expensive for 1 day... parking should be freee who ever stays in Sheraton. ....
Being a Starwood member, we were invited to the Starwood member lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening appetizers. First Class exercise facility.aiwo minute walk to St. Catherine's street and 10 min walk to the Via Rail train station
bed spreads too heavy and warm for the summer.
The location. The high up North view of the city.
Arrived early for check-in so room was not ready, totally understanding. But when I returned at 3:30PM it was still not ready. I was given 2 free drink tickets for the delay. I'm patient so not a big deal. Then the front desk person brought my key to the room...we got up to the room and the key did not work. I went to the front desk and they disappeared in the room behind the check-in counter for 5 minutes because they thought my credit card had been declined (although I already pre-paid 5 days beforehand). Then they realized I prepaid, and apologized and offered 2 more free drink tickets. Then they used their machine to link the plastic key card to my room - which indicated they gave me keys that were not programmed to my room beforehand so I would have to return to talk to them about my credit card (which was not being declined at all). They could have asked me at the bar to return to the front desk to sort it all out (the non issue scenario they invented) as opposed to inconveniencing me further by having me try and open a room with non-activated keys. What a crazy situation! All in all I found the incompetence amusing mild-to-moderate irritating. Amateur management. Also, wifi should be free in this day and age. Beware...beds are squishy.
Very close to Centre Bell, and also walkable distance to China Town, Old Town and Old Port.
Location Staff -- very friendly and helpful Bar area -- comfortable, free wifi, good snacks/drinks Ease of self-park/in and out privileges
No free wifi in room Bed was very small (a full)
Room, Bar area, Comfort. Special deal on price...
Wifi day rate in room, (Skyp wifi did not work, if that could be fixed, that would help) breakfast price quite high.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. The staff were on the whole very friendly an helpful. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. A lovely hotel in an absolutely charming city.
The pool was very disappointing. Whilst it was just about big enough and had a whirlpool (only two people could use at any time), there were no changin rooms and you have to change in the pool toilet. One time we used the pool there were no towels, and no-one monitors to ask to get things fixed.
Can't beat the location of this hotel - downtown, close to Bell Centre, Old Montreal and Old Port, as well as St. Catherine St. Hotel staff was friendly enough and the rooms were clean.
It's an expensive stay with no breakfast or wi-fi included. The menu items for the hotel restaurant/room service were ridiculously priced ($5 plus 15% tax and $4 for delivery for 1/2 a grapefruit, so you can imagine what a regular full breakfast costs!!!). At $300/night, it would've been nice to have a breakfast that didn't break the bank. Also, on two occasions, hotel staff attempted to enter our room for an unknown reason. Our room had already been turned down earlier in the day so we weren't really sure why they felt they needed to come in (we had the chain-lock on the door so whoever it was couldn't get all the way in). By the time my sister reached the door, the staff member was gone. We barely heard them knock both times and instead of waiting for a response from us, they just tried to come in! The first time it happened, I was in the washroom (with the door open as it was just my sister and I in the room). So, I'm not sure what that was about but we weren't impressed. All-in-all, we felt it was really expensive for what you get - which is basically just a regular hotel room.
Right in the heart of downtown Close to shops and bars Facilities were nice
Expensive for a smaller than average room
Clean, convenient for shopping
The staff at the information centre was not very friendly.
