Staff was fantastic, loved clean design

- the interior design of the room & lobby - the beds were very comfortable - the bathroom/shower unique

- if we wanted coffee in the room we had to pay for it. No tea was available. - was disappointed with the quality of shampoo and conditioner

The location of this hotel is excellent, and the quality of the "superior room" is unsurpassed. It has a very comfortable bed, and the overall design of the room is very pleasing, in line with the rest of the hotel.

First of all, the breakfast is substandard, and the majority of the serving staff was not very friendly. This is in sharp contrast with the friendliness of the other staff in the hotel, which was warm and helpfull. Comments on the breakfast are the complete lack of hot items, such a hot boiled egg, or any other hot starters such as bakes eggs, waffles or something similar. In view of the small number of breakfast items, one would expect top quality, but this is not the case. The bread is bad, the juices are factory made, and the plain yoghurt was absent one morning.

Great location, great atmosphere. Very funky hotel and the rooms are massive. Love the Molton Brown bathroom accessories. Nice breakfast included. Loved the room.

The coffee making facilities in the room cost $2.50 per cup (coffee capsule) whereas other hotels include this for free. Tv only had a few channels working.

breakfast: no choice, no real juices, just sweetened juices, not allowed to help yourself for hot beverages and have to wait a long long time for refill.

Staff are professional and friendly, room , very comfortable and quiet. Finally an upscale Hotel that doesn't charge 15.00 for wifi... Never understand when good hotels charge for it.

The downtown location was very nice. Staff was eager to please and very friendly. They were quick to accomadate and provide for us. Room was modern and pleasing. We did not eat while at the hotel so have no opinion on that matter.

My wife would have liked to see a bath tub, as a shower would have been difficult with her done up hair from the wedding.

Hotel rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and well-equipped. Front desk staff was helpful and congenial.

staff extremely helpful. shower facilities excellent. beds couldn't be more comfortable. modern and up to date interior. cosy and comfortable. buffet breakfast delicious. fresh juice, fruit and pastries yum yum. especially the strawberries and banana bread. location excellent, right next to calgary tower and stephen avenue walk. would highly recommend this hotel. worth the money compared to other 4 star hotels in calgary that are really only 3star standard compared to hotel la germain. in a word "class".

Very modern, clean, spacious room with a fabulous bathroom. Great location and good breakfast.

Loved the room and the young hip design of the hotel which is why we chose it.

Lacking the services of an upmarket hotel, breakfast was very poor with limited continental choices and no ability to order hot food. For a hotel of this stature and price bracket this needs to be improved, most international travellers will expect the ability to order breakfast/brunch in the hotel even if extra charges apply. Room service ability is again below par, twice during my stay tried to order tea to the room, once at 6am and once at 330, and twice told it wasn't available.

The room we stayed at is very inviting and relaxing. The design and furniture are great and the snacks available in the room are reasonably priced. The bed and pillows are so comfy. Breakfast that was included is excellent and amenities are very clean and you will feel that you are staying in a really decent and semi high-class hotel.

You can hear the people in the hallway outside your room very clearly.

This is the best hotel in Calgary. I could live here.

It's central location. It's a beautiful, modern clean hotel.

Unfortunately we were given very poor directions to the underground car park when we wanted to self park our car. My husband drove around for 45mins to find the entrance.The Valet was very reluctant to give directions as he wanted to valet park our car. Also when we came to check out there was an $89.00 difference, in the hotels favour, on the rate I had quoted on my confirmation document.The receptionist stated I had booked the room for myself only and my husband had also stayed, she then realised that the booking was for two people. However, I was promptly reimbursed.
