Lovely hotel, comfortable room with nice touches such as turn down service, Bose radio/cd, Molton Brown toiletries. All staff were friendly and helpful. Well located, only 5 minutes walk to Petit Champlain and 10 minutes flat walk to the station.

The staff were excellent, the rooms were of a reasonable size, well furnished, the breakfast was very good and the hotel is a small, luxury, boutique hotel Very poor lighting in the rooms - needs to increase substantially to offset the dark interiors. Overall the look and feel was too dark and (gothic!) in my opinion. I was with my family with young kids and they all felt the room to be too dark

Everything! The service from all staff was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and very well equipped. Breakfast had an excellent choice and quality. Nespresso machine in your room and coffee freely available all day in the lounge were a great bonus. We would definitely stay again Nothing!

Boutique hotel, great beds, great pillows, great location, great fireplace lounge sitting area, wonderful breakfast , brilliant staff, great location in city, relaxed but professional, lovely little workout room, Rooms a bit too dark.. I know it is the mood but difficult to read.. Furniture in reception getting a bit tired.. Just noticed it this year.. Have been going to this hotel for 3 seasons .. Moved from Auberge which we loved too! Needs a HOT TUB!!!

I liked the staff, they were very friendly and so helpful. also, the decoration was good. the location was at the old port, very close to every historical place. The lighting of the hotel was not that good, specially the rooms.

Extremely helpful and accommodating staff. We had to leave after one night due to a family death, and they were particularly lovely in releasing us from a 3 day stay. Hope to go back and would stay there again

The upscale feel and look. Excellent service staff. The fact that it was a small, boutique hotel, not overrun with people, as is the Frontenac. Rooms were beautifully decorated with a minimalist decor, comfortable. Because it is in an old building, windows bolted shut and you could not get some fresh air into the room. Also, other guests are right. Bathroom, while spacious and elegant, was dark and the sink a bit disfunctional due to inability to position a mirror and the lighting needed.

Wonderful hotel but it is the staff who make it truely exceptional. They are a young professional group. My husband and I enjoyed the coffee facilities in the lobby. Large pleasant room with well appointed bathroom. Buffet breakfast had many tasty options. The carpet needed attention, as did the bathroom floor. Housekeeping needs tweaking.

THe breakfast. It was convenient, fresh, efficient and delicious. The gloomy depressing dark, black decor/interior, the poor greeting on the road, the poor parking and unloading facility and the lack of a valet at the front of the hotel. Couches in foyer are dirty. The ugly old and faded window decoration in the front of the hotel.

All the people who worked at Hotel Germain-Dominion were helpful, very eager to please and very knowledgeable about Quebec City. The hotel location was in walking distance of the many attractions in Quebec. The hotel room had lovely views of the St. Lawrence River, it was perfectly cleaned and nicely decorated. Each evening our bed was turned down, chocolates were left on our pillow, the ice bucket was filled, cold water with glasses were left on our night stand and information about the following day's weather was left at our bedside. Each morning a delicious breakfast was waiting for us with a variety of options to eat as well as a choice of different locations to eat our breakfast. Our car was parked by an attendant, in Hotel Le Germain-Dominion's secure parking lot. We had access to our car if we needed anything from it. Our luggage was brought up to our room immediately and also brought down to our car when we departed. All the people at the Hotel Le Germain- Dominion made our stay in Quebec exceptional! Nothing, everyone and everything was lovely.

Location and the Staff! The thermostat in our room stopped working and the hotel staff immediately tried to fix the problem and changed us to another room. They were wonderful! The breakfast was very light. There was no meat in the selection and what selection you had was very poor. We've stayed at cheaper hotels that had a greater selection of food.

It was located in a quiet part of a city that is filled with tourists. It was nice after being in crowds, to come back to a quiet area. Although the street the hotel was on was peaceful, there were plenty of cafes and restaurants and shops around the corner. The breakfasts and access to a cappuccino machine and to fruit throughout the day was a nice touch.

Great staff, speaking both english and french, they deserve their reputation as one of the top hotels in North America. The breakfast buffet is great, and the room we had (5th floor, king bed) had a nie view of the Vieux Québec. The location is Basse Ville, which is ideally situated for a visit of the Old city. A swimming pool would have been appreciated (or a Spa)
