The hotel had maintenance issues, with scoffed and worn finishes, a digital HD TV set only capable of showing analog SD channels, and problems with A/C and ventilation. The GM generously made up for this latter inconvenience by giving us a complementary night. The bed was a bit on the soft side, but still comfortable. We would have liked to see more drawer space.
The service provided by all members of the staff was both personal and truly world class, and made up for any issue we could have had with the hotel - there is no doubt in our hearts we will stay there again on our next visit to the city. The interior design style was typical mid-90ties, imaginative, charming, and although a bit dated and not quite successful, it still works today due to its quirkiness. We were told the building was converted from office space to hotel in 1996, providing a fun deviation from modern cookie-cutter hotel chains.
