Hotel Le Germain Montreal    

LOVED the friendly staff! Felt so comfortable at the hotel and warmly received. Hotel was nice and quiet. Breakfast were great!

Melanie and the other girl were very nice and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean,

I asked for a bath and there werent any rooms left with one. To my deligt Melanie called me in the room she set me up and upgraded me for 100$ to a luxury 2 level room. There were some young guys and girls next door partying and screaming so loud on each extremities (in the hallway close to the bathroom where I was trying to take a bath and close to the bedroom whereI was watching tv and there were playing a game yelling and talking loudly) that I called the front desk 2 times. One of the employees came up and said it eas incredible and moved me to another room. On top of that the people in the other room were smoking pot so I could smell it in my room where I was eating my meal on the first floor at the table, I was switched to another room. That one had a ventilation problem so the noise was constant and the chocolate I took was expired and had white spots. The girl came up again and tried to fix the problem but to no avail and brought me to the entrance to find me another room. Melanie was embarassed as it was my first stay at your hotel which was recommended to me and it wasnt going so great from the start. I was then moved a 3rd time and stayed in that room. I added a second night to have a real day of relaxation without interruptions but I was disappointed that I wasnt offered some type of credit for the inconveniences. The manager was there the next morning and I wish he had offered something.

The bed was incredibly comfortable. I opted for a bathtub and it was also comfortable with endless amounts of hot water. The toiletries are very good quality and replenished daily. I was there five nights and it was quiet every night. The coffee machine in the lobby is very good quality and I loved the hot chocolate. The staff are consistently helpful and friendly.

I wish the beside table had drawers, there are no drawers in the room at all. I found the In room dining menu unappealing and too fussy. There is nowhere to sit with a mirror to do hair and make- up. I wish there was the availability of BBC world service on the TV?

I travelled solo this time but was there in october with my boyfriend and we love Le Germain. .... The sensual peaceful intimate chic design, location, the anticipation of guest needs (wifi, breakfast in bed, the music and iphone connection in the room, the maids' details- bath robes, etc), the personalized service, the bathrooms and room design, the late and diverse breakfast closing time (this is a +). LeGermainn was the first hotel I ever stayed at in Montreal (back in 2003) and I've not stayed in any other hotel since. And this goes with saying that I have residency in Montreal and friends to stay with but love staying in Le Germain :)

No negative comments to give. However, please continue to keep the price affordable. I love LeGermain and would love to be able to continue going back :) Many thanks for the wonderful stays! :)

The staff at the front desk, including the doormen, were extremely helpful and very pleasant.

All staff were friendly at all times; they obviously work as a team and nothing was too much trouble. They could not have been more helpful or courteous. The bed was the most comfy I have ever slept in, so soft and warm. The bath was also very comfortable with endless amounts of piping hot water. The unlimited Molton Brown products were lovely and the cleanliness and design of the room very good.

I would like to see a wider ranging menu for room service with the ability to order through the night. The room really could use a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities.

Claustrophobic gym.

We booked a DLX King Room which was spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff were very welcoming. We arrived at 9.30am and were surprised to find a room ready. Perfect for a night or two in the city located in a quiet spot near the University.

I loved the staff-i loved the response to my needs in terms of sending things to the room ie,a fork ,a toothrbrush,etc within five minutes.I like the location of the restaurant-i like the proximity to shopping and McGill university-I don't like that the kitchen closes at 10:30 on the weekend-this should be modified to atleast midnight for late travellers, although their solution to ordering in and there reccomendation menues were good...I think its a little overpriced but its competivwe with soffitel where I stayed a year ago-would never stay at soffitel if I had a choice again mostly because I like small hotels- I like the staff -friendly-responsive quickly to anything I needed in my room-ie fork-toothbrush...on the ball.I like the proximity of restaurant to elevators-Vey good location to McGill and to shopping-easy to grab taxi....

Didn't like that kitchen closes at 10:30-they should stay open until atleast midnight on weekend-however they sent up some menues where I can order in nearby-good solution-

excellent service, beautiful comfortable rooms. if you can get this at a bit of a discount on this site, it is worth your money.

The design of the rooms were very modern and luxurious.

In terms of a 'boutique hotel experience' I didn't quite feel that Le Germain lived up to its name. We had requested simple things and they were unable to accomodate us. I.e. ordering a tea a night. We also weren't able to use the car service once during our stay, and the hotel staff said it was because they were understaffed and needed that person to open the door for guests who were coming and going. Lastly the breakfast buffet was standard, not quite what I had expected from the price of the hotel. Overall, not entirely worth the money.

Liked: Room big.

1. Problem with water in room. Needed to send up tecchie to fix. 2. No coffee in room 3. Breakfast offering inadequate: only hot dish was an unappealing omlette (except for french toast, which I never eat) 4. Breakfast didn't start until 7:30 5. Room poorly lit. Kept bumping into stuff.

Everything. It is excellent. The most restful and beautiful rooms. Elegant and comfortable.

The room is extremely comfortable - to relax, to work, to sleep. Furniture is simple, the bed and bedding is comfortable, the facilities are excellent. Everything is well thought out and staff are excellent in responding and anticipating needs. Breakfast is perfect. Didn't have an opportunity to try dinner - next time...

Honestly, can't think of anything. Valet parking is a great way to have your car but have someone else take care of it for parking. If you don't mind leaving your car in their care - worked for me.

Great location, great design, excellent breakfast and very comfortable! Good service from staff, even driving you to a close by location for a meeting with the hotel car. Very appreciated!

The comfort and elegance of the room. We appreciated the high level of service from the front desk - very accomodating and pleasant. Lovely breakfast.

We had been travelling and missed lunch and we were due to go out in the evening. We came down at 5 pm to have a small snack but the menu was very limited and the staff were not interested in the fact that we might have liked a fruit plate or some cheese, If we had ordered room service we would have had those meals. It was disappointing.
