Location, domestic atmosphere, a lot of magazines you can read and chill on the terasse! Interior decor is cool and unique. Staff is great!

Bathroom and sink in the sleeping room which wasn't working good. There was also no soap in bathroom, not a little for first shower untill you buy a soap. No day light in the room. Breakfast cold be better, there was only sweet things and you need to wash by yourself after it.

Le Gite du Plateau Mont royal is a great hostel! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they have great tips for the city etc. Our room was clean and quite big and the bathroom wie shared with two other rooms was clean as well. Every morning they have a sweet breakfast with yogourts, pancakes, bagels and bread. The patio is another highlight! The location is wonderful! Everything is in walking distance if you're willing to walk and the atmosphere of the neighbourhood is lovely! If I am going to Montreal again, I'll definitely stay in this amazing hostel!

The windows of our room could have been bigger and we could have used a fan.

Excellent personnel, rather close to subway Sherbrooke, two comfortable rooms, very good information on events in the city, family like atmosphere. All in all suitable for young people coming for fun.

No fridge, no TV, no phone, water pipes over your bed, rather noisy due to thin walls between rooms and due to the fact that it is a hostel for young people

Kitchen, common room, staff was awesome. Good place to explore downtown and old city district. great breakfast and super atmosphere!!

Washrooms and shower were used a lot and not always clean. One stair for a bed was missing. all in all nothing was negative!

I loved how close it was to the downtown area and how helpful the staff was with any questions that I may have had. The common area was nice and it was easy to get to know the other travelers over the free breakfast they provided.

The open door policy may have made it a bit too easy for some stray bugs to come in, but it's summer and insects will find a way.

Staff were amazing Atmosphere was fantastic The rooftop terrace was great Location is good for young tourists

I've stayed in dozen of hostels, and I never had a truely sleepless night until I stayed here. I stayed in late June and without air conditiong and only a tiny window, no one in my six person room (except one drunk kid who passed out) slept more than a couple hours. It wasn't just uncomfortably hot, it was "soaking-mattress-with-sweat" hot. Around 3am a couple of us decided to try to sleep on the terrace, but it had closed at 11pm. This hostel has a great staff and atmosphere, and I'm sure it's the best in town in autumn/winter/spring, but in summer it is simply unbearable.

Staff is very helpful and kind. All facilities are functional. Location is excellent.

Accommodation is really poor. Room was too hot to sleep in....with fan on the ceiling that had to work all night and to keep us awake :(

The entire staff was incredible. Everyone was extremely warm and it made the hostel feel like home! I absolutely loved staying here, and I would recommend it to anyone! The coffee and pancakes in the morning were the best.

Not too many bathrooms, only a couple of them per floor, but it was only a small issue.
