The staff was extremely pleasant. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our breakfast was delightful. I was extremely disappointed when I saw our room. It was very small and our view was a brick wall. I thought the cost of the room was excessive for an average room.

The bed linen was amazing. I love the luxury of hotel. The service in the bar was not very attentative. Once they served you the turn around was quick but they didn't keep track of the tables to any follow-up (more drinks or the bill)

Staff very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Appreciated two luggage racks, hangers and closet space. Location to transit, shopping and restaurants excellent. Several months ago my seven yr. Old grand daughter and I had high tea at the King Eddy. My wee girl lost her earring in the lounge and was in tears. The wait staff, someone from the front desk and the head of security came to help look with flashlights and carpet sweeper. No success in finding the earring but a lasting memory for the two of us of the hotel's caring employees. Exceptional customer service!! Lighting in rooms awkward for reading and would have liked towel rack by bathroom sink. Resented the charge for wireless.

location was great close to everything we wanted and within walking distance of all that we wanted to do. lobby was beautifully decorated for christmas staff was accommodating rooms were tired for the money our room had only one chair to sit comfortably and the carpet was rippled in places and very worn. We had an adjoining room unfortunately not with our family so at 1 am when the guests returned they were extremely loud and it felt like they where in the room with us. The TV was very loud and the language was course. We complained to front desk, eventually after about 2 1/2 hours it settled down. Needless to say we didn't get any sleep. I explained to customer service manager at check out and he apologized and picked up our parking. Realized it was Grey Cup weekend however should not have had an adjoining room. Would like to come back but would need a good reason to try again. We come to the city alot and there other choices in the neighbourhood, my brother felt the same way and he was staying as a guest as well even though he did have a better room then we did.

Old world ambience, downtown location. Dated decor in rooms, lack of complimentary services... no free internet in a $300 a night hotel... please! $40 for parking, no coffee maker in room... basics you expect when we could camp at a Howard Johnson hotel for 1/3 the price. Royal York has this old tired lady beat by a mile and a half in the lux-o price range.

The Royal King Club which is a facility at the 11th floor. The staf was nice - good service Good location The King Edward Hotel was not worth the money. I had an upgrade for 75 CAD and the room was small and old. The bathroom was old and not very nice. You have paid >250 CAD for a room and you stil need to pay for internet - too greeadily (but if you pay for The Royal King Club, then you will access a wiifi which will work in the whole hotel). The Royal King Club does not serve any food, beer or wine until 5.30pm and only for 2 hours.....

The rooms were so dated not dated good ! But dated tired, old and dirty looking.. The carpet looked trashed and worn with black around the edges, the first room we had, the celing in the shower was dirty looking ... The furniture was worn, needless to say we would never go back and it was not the romantic weekend we wanted. I couldn't wait to leave.

Comfortable bed Not taken to our suite on arrival and shown how to work appliances etc in our room and had no way of figuring out how the shower/bath worked, had to call for assistance late at night in order to have a shower before going to bed. No tea/coffe facilities in the room which we would expect at the very basic hotels we have stayed in not at a high priced suite which we had chosen as a treat for our last night in Canada. Overall the suite was lovely but the lack of service and facilitities we left feeling let down with our stay.
