The staff and the facility
WiFi coverage was not the best. Better selection of bread in the breakfast would be appreciated. Some of the running boards in the gym could be updated
Hotel room was a little small but very nice and clean.
Major construction on the outside of the hotel...entire front of building was full of scaffolding. Could easily miss the hotel if you don't pay close attention!
Beautiful, clean room, great service and a great location made for a nice quiet weekend away
Paying for wifi was a letdown for a high class hotel
location was wonderful
The aesthtic, staff and rooms were all top-notch... very comfortable and world class.
Although the exterior of the hotel seemed to be in renovation, the interior was very tidy and quiet. Best EGGS BENEDICT ever!!!
Rooms and bathroom were spacious; shower was huge. Lots of counter space in the bathroom. Loved the free newspaper every morning. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Location was good, right on King in the financial area; steps away from a subway entrance and across the street from a street car stop.
Wifi was excruciatingly slow; made working impossible and even simple things like loading Google maps was a challenge.
Pleasant room close to subway and downtown. Luxurious bedding and towels.
$14.95 for 24 hrs wifi.
Close to places to visit and union station
Hotel is beautiful and amazing even though renovation is planned. Room service and concierge very helpful. Let them know if you miss anything. Location is the best (shops, malls, pubs, restaurants, galleries, the Hockey Hall of Fame, subway in a walking distance). A la carte breakfast is always delicious.
Only small things to mention: Wifi - sometimes I had to login after coming back to room, sometimes not. Though wifi is available in the whole hotel. Spa - a hammam and aroma saunas would be a great option. Breakfast - seating of guests arriving to restaurant is managed more than poorly on Sunday mornings. No system, guests waiting all around the lobby, some of them forgotten.
cleaning clear and good attitude.
They are not good at Asian guest.
down town location excellent, nice room for the price , friendly staff
morning breakfast in hotel restarunt poor quality and way over priced . hotel bar nice but way over priced
I like the King Edward hotel. I have stayed many times before but a little disappointed this time. First time I have been disappointed.
To many things to list.
Beautifully room, comfortable bed. Great location.
The staff the rooms and the atmosphere were worth the drive to Toronto! We'll be back!
Paying for WiFi in the room is a bit disappointing.
Staff was excellent, especially the consort, anything we needed he got.
The 2am fire alarm.
The room decor. The bathrobes. The history of the hotel. The doormen in fur hats. View of the city to the east.
Tough to keep clean in the winter especially, the exterior window as a little dirty. But that's about it.
Staff uniformly helpful and friendly
Stayed in suite only complaint no bath. Suite was stunning. Breakfast was sublime x
Location is really good - renovations done are nice. Would surely come back. Feels like a top notch hotel - easily worth $300/night - so getting it for $180 was in a way a steal. P.S. Free nestle water bottle was a small but vital gesture.
Was hard to find cause outside is getting a facelift/make over. No view unfortunately but that's downtown Toronto low floors for you...
As Omni Select members we were given early check-in and late check-out, no problem. Bed was super comfortable, orange juice delivered to our door each morning....wonderful hotel experience!
The staff and rooms were excellent. The morning breakfasts as a part of the package were well worth the price.
Spacious room, with separate sitting area.newly decorated with modern appointments.
Unfortunately they are re-doing the facade...so the view from the room was scaffolding.
The staff at the King Edward are extremely attentive and work together like a well-oiled machine. They really do make a guest feel like royalty. The food was outstanding and I was lucky enough to partake in a dinner in the Consort Bar, the brunch and High Tea as well as room service... all were terrific. Also enjoyed the spa. The room was spacious and luxurious and the King bed was extremely comfortable. Loved my weekend escape and I will be back for more when the opportunity strikes!
