had to call for internet connections, TV working, all kinds of little things that should have worked properly at this high-price.
Location, politeness of reception staff, size of room. The staff compensated us for the error that they made.
Public spaces a bit dingy. The room was not prepared for two visitors -- so, too few towels, products, etc. Worst of all, our room didn't get made up at all on the second day. There was no obvious reason for this: we were gone all day; we did not put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.
The elevator worked.
I reserved a room with two beds. We got in and were told we were *upgraded* to a Junior Suite with one King bed and a cot. We are two older women and we are both handicapped. They then offered us what we reserved. Charged $27. for underground parking. We got to the room. My friend went into the bathroom and came out choking. She medicated. There was mold. I sent her downstairs and I stayed in the room to await their maintenance man. He came in, went into the bathroom, looked around and said he saw nothing. Idiot. You cannot see spores. I returned downstairs. They *tried* to find us another hotel.. Made three calls and then stopped. They really didn't give a damn if we ended up on the street. We agreed to accept the Junior suite*. I had to use the cot because my friend has arthritis in her knees and it was much lower than the bed. Even with the memory foam mattress that I bring with me I was so uncomfortable that I barely slept at all. The next morning I went out to an appointment. Her vehicle was parked on the side street. It was about 9:40 am. When I returned at noon, it was still there. I enquirer about this as we were paying for underground parking. I was told that it had only just been brought up. I informed them of the timing involved. No apology. I told them to remove the parking charge. The day staff weren't terrible. The night staff needs to look for other work. I have no idea if we were charged more for the room change. Frankly, I want a major refund. I am never going to stay at another hotel in Montreal. Oh yes... I forgot about them making snarky comments in French, not realizing that my friend is bilingual.
Room is cleaned, Metro 2 blocks away, lots bars/restaurant near by
no parking (garage full) looked for two hours for parking, it is very hard to find parking if needed for overnight parking, at the end we still park 2 blocks away from hotel (open lot) $20 -24 hrs, the first night's towel isnt so clean, right next to the elevator (very noisy)
No parking in the location
The location and the room space and relative comfort
Breakfast over valued and very poor quality both in variety and the taste of food itself , stale bakery .... didnt like the hotel charging my credit card with an extra night wrongly and I had to get out the print of my booking.com reservation to prove them wrong , finally they credited back my credit card .
Great hotel, perfect location! Would definitely stay here on my next visit.
The hotel is a nice quiet area of montreal where you can easily find on street parking. Room design was nice.
it's an older building. the first we were given had A/C issues (too loud), staff put us in a different room right away, but the other room A/C was loud as well. I've stayed in other Meridiens and I know this is not this hotel's standard.
Great location. The hotel is pet friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly.
Hallways were a little untidy.
The hotel is centrally located, but yet, it is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Mtl. Around the corner from the Metro and just a few minute walk to the Bell Centre. Very comfy bed!
Location and staff
Cleanliness of corridors and noisy guest room doors which woke me up several times in the night.
location and accessibility to amenities
parking options, noise level in room and beds were a bit uncomfortable
staff, nice room
weak internet, fitness room
everything was as it should...great newly renovated rooms
The rooms and service
Lack of included breakfast
Closeness to subway and downtown. Staff very nice. Excellent restaurant.
Rooms need renovations. Carpet is horrible. Pillows are not comfortable. Bathrobe old and tired.
The room was very clean and the hotel location is perfect. The staff was nice and helpful.
Very nice romantic room
Bathroom was very old fashion.
