Loved the space in the room and the kitchenette. Bathrrom had hair on the heater and a broken shower curtain hook on the floor. Also some crumbs on the counter from the prior renters.

Port Royal is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of basse-ville (lower town). Our room 105 had original stones and wood beams dating from 1700´s. BEd is very comfortable, room decór is sooting and chic (shantung curtains, ceiling painted in grey-brown). Bedroom has a built in kithchenette very convenient. Hotel bar is really cool too. I would totally recommend future guests to head to local Quebec boulangerie named Paillard centrally located in Rue St Jean in Haute-ville (5min walt). Their breakfast is amazing. We arrived at train station by late afternoon and checkin was very easy. nothing, would definetly stay there another time.

Location was fabulous. Best of both worlds. The Lower area and the Port Area and a nice walk to go to the top. Kitchen facilities were convenient. No place to sit and enjoy the kitchen facilities. Didn't see an ice machine.

LOVED the location, but that is just us. Close to the train station without being on top of a bunch of tourists. The bed was outstanding, and the room was perfectly sized for the cost. Unfortunately the only issue we had was not having our room cleaned in a timely fashion on one of the days of our stay. We left the room at 11am, and upon return, it was not cleaned. We had to ask twice and it took 45 more minutes to get it done...while we waited downstairs. Also, it was nice to be given 2 complementary "drink" coupons for the bar...but no one told us that it was a "specific" drink that the coupons get you. Turns out it was a Vodka/OJ type drink...but there was really NO alcohol in them, so it felt pretty "false" as something nice.

good location and within ten minutes of the main tourist areas. room faced a gas station, so there was some noise. Not excessive but still not what you really want when paying good money.

Love the fact that we had the whole suite together with own corridor leading to 2 separate rooms. Liked the kitchen. And liked that it was close to everything. The decor was also pleasant amenities were good. Very Old (lots) Spider webs in corners, the matress we had was just awefull. The bathroom in the deluxe queen was not very well finished (reno wise). One of the suite Deluxe queen at full price was right but still a bit too much for the reason pointed out. The second smaller room (regular queen) was at the same price as the deluxe queen definitely was not the right price at all, I feel scammed for that one. Should not be the same price as the deluxe queen room.

Great location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The view of snowy streets and Christmas lights out our windows was a bonus. The kitchenette is tiny but fine for breakfasts. The room had distinctive decor with exposed stone walls. The bed was comfortable. There was a discrepancy between our Bookings.com receipt and the hotel's records, regarding prepayment for a rollaway bed. The desk clerk was polite but unyielding. Although it later became clear that her numbers were correct, (the problem was really with a mismatch between Bookings and the hotel receipt), the friction at checkout unfortunately left a bad impression on an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Where do I begin? The hotel is absolutely lovely. Parking is close and even though it is outside it is closer than most hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the old city. The room was amazing, the fireplace/wood burning stove, the old style windows, the brick walls, the fully equipped bathroom and kitchen area, a fabulous blend of old world and modern convenience. I felt like I had traveled back in time. The window alcoves so conducive to sitting and watching the lights of the city while sipping a glass of wine....sigh. The attention of the staff to every detail. I want to go back. now.
