Score from 220 reviews Good
In downtown Montréal, this student residence is just a 5-minute walk to McGill University campus. It has shared kitchenettes and lounges throughout the building. All rooms feature a small fridge.
Score from 163 reviews Good
Next to McGill University and in the center of the city, this hotel features a seasonal rooftop pool with partial views of Montreal and the St-Lawrence River.
Score from 1021 reviews Very good
Located in Montreal’s entertainment district, this hotel is less than a 15-minute walk to the Montreal Conference Centre. Guest rooms include free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen cable TV.
Score from 340 reviews Very good
carpet looks very old and worn
The only thing i appreciate was the front desk personnel after that nothing interest me to get back again and i would never recommend this hotel to anyone my type.
The day I left
this place is very out dated, was told it is a non smoking place but the 2 rooms i stayed in both had smoke odor in them and burn marks all over the furniture. One so bad i could not stay in it. The AC units are on there last legs, very noisy. If you like people coming and going all through the night, then it is a place to stay. It is a place that is used often by escorts....or others who like to have a place that charges by the hour!!!
Location is good
The room we had was old and depressing. Need renovations. I will not go back
- spacious and comfortable rooms, good WiFi signal in rooms, pool, big parking lot
- located quite far away from metro stations - free breakfast is spartanic (muffins + canned fruit)
Clean Room Free parking
Hotel should be classified as Motel. Should not list free breakfast when there's only one kind of muffins, coffee, juice and little preserved mixed fruit containers but no spoons, no napkins and no paper plates. For a few dollars per day they could at least have a toaster and a loaf of bread to make toast with butter. The wallpaper in the room had rips in different places. The furniture had holes. The shower head sprayed sideways. I mentioned it to the clerk but nothing was done. For 5 dollars and 5 minutes to install, a new shower head could be installed. The grounds are not maintained. The pool area had weeds growing, the bottom of the pool had not been vacuumed and there were bugs in the water. They can close the pool and not list it since the way it is now, nobody uses it. For 160 dollars per day, I expected at lot better. I have stayed in many motels near highways for 50 or 60 dollars per day that were better and included a full continental breakfast.
I liked the service I recieved from the lady who checked me in on Aug 6
Upon checking out, I had complaints about the cleanliness of our room, and the man at the desk argued with me on it to the point where I felt I had to raise my voice to avoid having him interrupt me. He then called the Montreal police on me. The police and I both laughed about it, but I was extremely insulted by the man at the desk that day. HE CALLED THE POLICE ON ME!!! Also, the room was NOT cleaned properly each day (the coffee pots especially)
large clean room close to restaurants and shopping very helpful and friendly staff
continental breakfast nothing to write home about. Muffins and packaged fruit cups. Coffee, tea and juices.
comforting, good location, good service
the fridge size can be improved
Room was clean, parking was convenient.
the room was decorated entirely in pink with mirrors everywhere. The hot tub was right in the middle of the room! The tiny toilet "closet" was suffocating. The breakfast was juice and muffins, with packaged fruit cup, very meager. Staff could not exchange any money. When we went to check out, they sent someone upstairs to be sure we had not damaged the room before we could leave. We were charged $200 up front as a deposit, which they had great difficulty re-crediting to our credit card on checkout.
The carpests were really dirty and the soap wasnt enenough for one bath and there was two of us..I forgot my toothbrush and you didnt have any...slept through the night though..so thank you for that...
-Breakfast (worst ever, horrible small muffin, cup of fruits, juice thats it... No toast!!!) -Swimming pool dirty -Room design outdated -Hear people making love... -No HD tv -Expansive for what you get
The room was big and clean. I would say it was awesome.
The breakfast. I think something need to be done to improve the setup. More variety of snacks and some sandwich. I hope to see changes when I come back.
I have stayed here several times. I always enjoy myself. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are OK. This time the light in the bathroom was working only on one bulb. It was a little dark, but accessible. The shower head sprayed in every direction also, but I can live with that. It is an older hotel, but for the price, it is worth the few pesky things. Some people expect hotels to be like home, if this is you, I would just stay at home and do not whine.
Everything that is not like home, I can live with. When I am treated well, as I always am here, I can live with a few inconveniences. It is not about a perfect hotel. They do not exist. This is about affordability versus tolerable inconvenience. I would always recommend Le Prestige, because I am treated like family, and that is what I find is more important.
Staff very professional, Very good service The room was comfortable
The rooms definitely need an upgrade. The carpet should be changed
Free availability of computer in lobby.
Complimentary breakfast is extremely limited.
Quiet and a lot of room
Tv a from the 90
Good parking, not far from highway 40
Bed and bedding below average. Continental breakfast was extremely poor, coffee, fruit salad cups, and one type of muffin does not constitute a Continental breakfast, no napkins or any kind of plates. Television are very dated, would be willing to pay more for better amenities, very well located facility.
The rooms were large, the bathrooms were beautiful. The was a heating lamp in the bathroom which I loved. The staff was always friendly and you can buy an affordable bottle of wine at the reception until 3am! I will be returning to this hotel next time I visit Montreal.
Breakfast is only orange/cranberry/apple juice, a fruit cup and a muffin. But Chez Cora's is nearby!
Very some of sad
I like the place was close to restaurant nice place quiet place to relax
I like to seen a hot tub inside the place it more for summer as the pool and hot tub are outside
Nice big room for such a budget, clean, very friendly staff.
A bit far from town
very good location, easy access to highway 40 and highway 25.
rooms need updating, do not pay for breakfast, there is no real breakfast, only coffee and juice plus a few muffins.
The staff is very friendly and the accommodations, while not luxurious, are better than many higher priced hotels. The room was very large and the bathroom was spotless. Parking is very convenient with the lot being on the premises and only a few steps from a side door into the hotel. And the parking was also free. The location was only 15-20 minutes by car from downtown Montreal (with no traffic which can be very heavy entering the downtown area during rush hours). Many restaurants and eating establisments close by, one being right next door. The lobby is extremely comfortable for sitting in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea, muffins, juice, and fruit. All in all considering the cost of Le Prestige I have to say that it's an excellent value. The exchange rate between Canadian and US currency made the value even greater.
The room was quite large and painted entirely in blue. While blue is a pleasant color, everything in the room was blue. Walls, tables, and accessories. A bit too much. I would have enjoyed a cereal selection at breakfast but there was none. Also, it's time for a flat screen TV.
