if we brag too much we won't be able to get a reservation!
Helpful and friendly staff. Had a top floor room with a terrace. Everything was clean and well maintained. Fridge also. Best value for money. Roomy and lovely furniture. Great part of town. Lots of places to eat. Next to bus stops and metro.
Lots of homeless people begging in the area. Parts of the street were dirty.
Perfect size and location; with a manager who pays attention!
Close to metro, room spacious.
Need to walk up flight of stairs to entrance
The shower was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the location good. Our room was at the back, we had no noise at all to deal with.
The safe was locked and it took over a day to have someone open it.
The room was small, but very clean and well outfitted with an single serve coffee machine and free wifi. I had read some questionable reviews of the area, but I found it very interesting and there were good restaurants and bars with live music nearby.
I was a little concerned when I got there and the door was locked and no one was inside. Make sure to look to the left for the bell. I rang it and someone showed up in a couple of minutes.
This is an excellent hotel, immaculate, comfortable, beautifully appointed and extremely well located. Other reviewers site street noise and pan handlers as negatives but it certainly has nothing to do with the hotel itself and neither bothered us at all. In fact, this busy location was wonderful. The proprietor was friendly, accommodating and offered excellent advice on where to eat, what to see and the best way to get around the city. If you stay here, take our advice and listen to his. The suite we had was spacious and wonderfully furnished. When returning to Montreal this is where will stay again.
What a wonderful place. The attention to detail is incredible. Will certainly return! RC
The location was ideal, the room was top class, the bathroom was clean, great complimentary products. I loved the espresso machine. Even though we were close to a loud, noisy area, the room was sound proof and we slept so well.
Loved the accommodations. Staff was very helpful and volunteered to gets us acclimated to the area. Enjoyed the stay and the room. The rooftop patio was an excellent bonus.
Beautiful room - great neighborhood - friendly service - cheap parking
A little further from old city than I thought but not that far
Albert and staff very concerned regarding my Mother and I
Clean, beautiful rooms, loved the non-smoking terrasse, service with a smile all the time. Thank you for making our stay that more enjoyable!!
It's all good!!
L'accueil du propriétaire
Le Relais was wonderful. Our check in was quick and the gentleman who took care of us was very personable and informative. The room was the most wonderful surprise - well appointed, lovely decor and super comfortable bed. Parking was plentiful and easy to access. We definitely recommend this spot.
Manager/Proprietor? was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Very good location close to Montreal Jazz Festival, old Montreal and otter attractions
Owner is friendly and tries to be helpful when he is around. Good shower, quality bed, and Nespresso machine are nice touches. The proximity to the metro is very good. The bistro downstairs is pretty good for breakfast.
Noisy street; challenging parking arrangement; tv too small and far away to be seen well or controlled from the bed; "suites" not worth the extra money; stairs with no lift; unattractive lobby that is unmanned most of the time; terrible wifi that usually did not work properly. For the prices charged, none of these shortcomings should exist.
Really nice room, in the heart of the Quartier Latin. Many nice restaurants and bars nearby.
hotel and staff we very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had everything we needed
the people in Montreal were absolutely rude and had no manners what so ever...great hotel however i will never be traveling to that city again
Location, location, location
Location & clean towels & pleasant tourist street
Wi-if is poor..
Albert, the proprietor, is very helpful. The room (suite) is well-furnished, immaculate and quite comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch. The room (3rd floor) was well-insulated from the (substantial) late-night street noise.
The neighborhood is lively and absolutely safe, but definitely veers to the French student ghetto end of things. The smell of freshly smoked marijuana wafts upward... There is no lobby or hotel amenities to be had. This is just a small boutique hotel. The attached restaurant is nothing special.
Doesn't look like a hotel from the outside, but it houses 8 rooms, 4 regular rooms and 4 suites. My suite was a beauty: clean, very spacious (!), comfy bed, great bathroom, ... Some water and espresso coffee is provided. The owner is very nice and friendly too! The location is just perfect: downtown, the old city, the shopping area as well as the park are really closeby. The main metro stop is also just around the corner! Very convenient to check out e.g. Parc Jean-Drapeau.
I was sleeping at the front of the hotel, which was a little noisy at night due to little isolation.
Very clean the owner was very friendly and always eager to help.
