clean and easy
one of the front desk attendents was not very friendly or helpful otherwise everyone else was delightful.
dirty floors in hotel, old air-condition, wooden plank in window,
Location Price Staff
Dirt everywhere They don't clean before you arrive, not during your stay or after you leave...
Location was good and that's all!
The hotel is old and smells smoke and dust. The bed isn't comfortable and there's no noise insulation at all. W couldn't get a decent night sleep in none of the days we stayed at this place. I don't recommend it at all!
The hotel is good value for the money paid. It is in a good location for me - near the Gay Village. Staff are very friendly and willing to please.
The location was excellent - 10-15 minute walk to Old Montreal/Old Port and a couple of blocks from Metro station. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Gave us wonderful suggestions for places to visit, plus helped us with directions to get there. LOVED the breakfast delivery. Great way to start the day!
The available parking was full and we had to park a few blocks away, but given the hotel's location in the city, I don't fault the hotel. To their credit, the recommended parking lot worked well. We felt the car was safe and the price was reasonable.
Very clean and good value for the price. WiFi was excellent and hotel is located in the midst of everything.
Close to the hustle and bustle of Montreal
The first floor is super noisy
friendly staff, breakfast delivered to your room. left one bag when we travelled to quebec city - easy close to village eateries and shops. transport (bus) to airport and Quebec 2 blocks away and metro which works very good even closer. wifi strong and easy to use
breakfast menu restricted front door opening out onto entry steps was difficult with luggage.
Location was great, close to everything
Was a bit old and a little grubby but not enough to put me off for the location
NOT the room! NOT the breakfast!
the room the breakfast the staff I booked a dbl room for $109 with breakfast and ended up paying $129 for a hostel -like room. Very expensive concidering the room itself... Aside from getting overcharged our stay was short but definately NOT sweet!
not far from center town
wii fii the size of the room no parking poor reception not worth the price poor kleening
Great location: downtown, in the heart of the gay village. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Room is smelly. Building is old. Carpet is dark and disgusting.
location, free breakfast brought to room every morning,
furniture is very old, rooms really need to be updated
owner was very pleasant and helpful and acted as a guide to us new to Qebec
the wifi was flaky in our room but clean in the dining room not suitable for skype to home. shower was interesting set up as a waterfall but the temperature was set too low
Good location, easy walking distance to old-town. Friendly and helpful staff.
Older building and beds. Parking is down the block, and not included with stay.
Wonderful staff and ambience, great location
Very central location close to Berri-UQAM. Quiet rooms. Good price for the location and included breakfast.
The elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor so you have to walk up stairs to the 4th. The television in the room was so old I didn't know whether it was going to be colour or black and white until I turned it on.
Price and Location
I had a hard figuring out how to adjust the temperature of the water using the shower valve
The staff were cooperative, the place is clean and the breakfast is very tasty
Location, helpful reception guy, price.
Breakfast in your bedroom,
Location, fridge in room, staff. Light continental breakfast, good price.
The a/c was a bit weak in my room; it was difficult to cool the room. Wonderful bar soap in the bath, but no shampoo (?). The hotel does have some worn features (hall carpets, some furnishings, a/c units), but there do appear to be some gradual upgrades happening (paint, room floors, baths). It's an older building with some neat design features in places (stairwells, for example) and could be spiffed up into something very charming.
dirty very old
