I felt safe and welcome.
I didn't like thepubli health carpet floor in the room in general is not a good ideia for public health
Cleanliness could be improved
Great little hotel; Breakfast was good; Choices of fruit, bagels, use of refrigerator; clean, quiet. Staff was very friendly.
Had to ask for everything...towels, toilet paper, etc. weekend staff not as good as through the week.
The carpet was sticky and there was white crusty stuff on our blanket. Also no air conditioning
Price is very good and location only a few blocks from Concordia is what we needed
Bedrooms need update--lumpy pillows and needs new bedspreads sheets looked old Bathroom door got stuck every time u used it and y couldn't get out Air conditioner too loud and my husband picked up some sort of virus from having to breathe in this air since the air conditioner was right next to the bed Breakfast was very sketchy--they would do better by getting rid of the couches no one uses in the front and setting up a breakfast bar with a few chairs and tables--coffee tea toast and bagels with toaster and condiments and fruit--it's not hard and that's what people want plus cleanliness and everything working in the room--people running place nice but they have to do this if they want business!
Its right next to downtown and easy to access lots of amenities. Room was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean and functional, no problems at all. It's a small room, but we weren't there to hang out in a hotel anyway. Great value for the money!
No air conditioning, which might bother some people. We were fine with it, the breeze from the windows were plenty!
The location is very convenient and it feels like a guest house rather than a hotel.
The noise coming from next room and the stairs is annoying.
The location was great. 5 mins walk to subway. There are supermarkets and 24hrs restaurant near by.
Price was good
Room was small
A budget hotel ideal for a solo traveller looking for a base to explore Montreal's sights and night-life. Basic facilities in the room, but all present and minor issues were quickly resolved by friendly English-Speaking staff. Rest of hotel is basically a lobby and reception desk. Breakfast was very basic, but included and did the job. Free wi-fi, but that seems standard for Montreal. Had read some very bad reviews of this hotel, but the third-floor room was perfect for my needs and great value. I would rebook.
No safe in the room. Instant coffee for breakfast.
Breakfast was great we had two options of a sandwich or a bagel there was juice, water, tea, and coffee along with bananas and different kinds of cakes everyday The staff was always friendly and warm The bed was so comfortable and smelled clean It was right in the center of the downtown area close to the train and places to eat and shop I got a great price for 5 night stay I would definitely come here again!
It's really tiny that was a suprise The walls were paper thin you could hear people talking Other guests were smoking pot
The staff is cooperative. Hotel is well located.
There was renovation going on. Heaters in rooms were dysfunctional, though the staff fixed them up. In spite of leaving roommate up tag, the room wouldn't be cleaned.
It's a great option if you intend to know the city, it's excelent location allows you to go anywhere relatively easy. As for comfort and services it's ok for crashing at night but don't plan to stay during the day.
Sheets with blood spot
When staff was present, they were quiet&friendly. Place was clean & around corner fr St Catherine St.
This facility is not handicap friendly. No elevator. Room & hallway were unsafely narrow. Both areas were unable to accommodate a wheelchair. Breakfast was loaf of toast , pillsbury rolls, pot of coffee& orange juice. Entire hotel was very claustrophobic.
only the location....sadly
Staff attitude - they asked for the fee upfront - never had this situation before... The staff pretented that 'this is the hotel policy', but there was no mention of this 'policy'' anywhere The 'breakfast' is just coffe, one type of juice, bread, jam and cheap mini-croissants the type you can buy from Dollarama, down the street. There is no kitchen nor breakfast area - you need to take the 'food' back to your room The room we got was in the reception hall, with a door opening in the boiler room... noisy, noisy, noisy - this room should NOT be rented... Cord extention for coffe machine - not to code - use at your own risk, another electric plug : not covered, again, use at your own risk. In conclusion: cheaper than other places, but not worth...
