Very well renovated hotel offering a nice mix between modern and old stylish architecture Well situated in very nice Quebec
Tea and juice are not refilled at breakfast
toilet overflowed and had to be relocated to a poor hotel.
Location and staff.
First room #37 lacked proper bathroom towel racks, no place to set toiletries, and desk lamp had no cord to plug in to turn light on. Room #16 was much larger, but whenever anyone showered in the room above, it leaked heavily into our bathroom. Hotel is in need of a face-lift.
The junior suite we had was quite spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and well stocked. We enjoyed the included breakfast, and the close proximity to the many restaurants and shops. The farmers market was also close and very nice.
Early morning Truck noise
- located near restaurants and train/ bus stations. - walking distance to old town. - hot breakfast in the restaurant.
- poor bathroom facilities. The basin is too small to be equipped with an oversized water tap ...need to be very careful not to wet the place whenever you use it. - bathroom floor has seeping problem near the bathtub after you use the shower/ bath. - the frame of the bed needs to be fixed. it cracks whenever you make a turn on your bed. The mattress was uneven and uncomfortable ...should have been replaced. - windows facing the street in the room and bathroom were very large and you only have curtains. Perhaps blinds are necessary in the bathroom. - overpriced as there is no 24 hours front desk service. Front desk was manned by one staff when I stayed there (for 4 days).
The room size and the pillow
Minor nags: the toilet was loose from the floor and its handle came off; repair needed. The second problem was departure time - I requested a late departure via booking.com and got confirmation. However, in the hotel they claimed that they did not know about my request. Anyway, it was not a problem at the end.
Large room, very comfortable bed. Clean, good shower. Ideal location for the cruise terminal. We arrived quite late, staff on reception were very pleasant and welcoming. Good coffee machine in room.
Needed more lighting in the room. Choice for the 'included' breakfast was limited, we were told you could have coffee OR orange juice. Portions weren't very large, but quality was excellent.
Hospitality of staff and easy access to the city by foot.
Room dark but management addressing this during planned refurbishment this winter.
Location, value for money, comfort, helpful staff, great breakfast.
Not enough lighting in room - could have benefited from lamps as opposed to all the recessed lights. Also no towel rail in the bathroom - nowhere to hang towels and not enough shelving for setting wash bags etc.
The rooms. First of all they are really dark, very little light, really! You need to turn on the flashlight from your iPhone to see the clothes you are going to wear. And remember to check inside the closet with the flashlight before you leave! There's no mirror except the one over the sink in the bathroom. The TV doesn't work as easily as one would expect. Breakfast was very limited also.
a very comfortable modern hotel retaining the character and feel of a small old inn. Good breakfast included.
room was a bit small
Close to all attractions and great restaurants.
Food and wine were great!
good value for money, within 10 minutes you are at the main attractions, and also the cruise terminal. Friendly and helpful personnel
Location, clean, resonably quiet and well appointed room
Room was was quite small Heater in bath too close to WC for comfort
The location is great for visiting attractions and also close to the cruise ship port. The staff was friendly and helpful and we liked the breakfast that was included next door.
Nice rooms, very clean, good location (walking distance from harbour and old town)
Breakfast was pathetic.. you get to choose one item off a menu, which isn't enough by far. Left the breakfast cafe still hungry.
The bed was adequate.
Neither the tub or the shower lived up to expectations. TV not conveniently located for viewing. When they promoting a flat screen TV, I expected high definition.
It was comfortable and clean. The location was great. The staff was very helpful.
The bed was not comfortable.
Comfy bed, awesome shower, great location in Old Quebec close to galleries and terraces. Excellent restaurant.
Carpets were stained, dirty and needed to be replaced Small Rooms Very expensive for what you get
Excellent location just outside the city walls, 5 minutes walk from the train station and an uphill 10 minute walk to centre of the old city. Excellent breakfast included and good restaurant staff. Nice big room.
Some sharp staff at the check in desk felt unfriendly. Smallish bed as well, but nothing major at all.
Breakfast and comfortable bed.
The towels are thin should be replaced . The room is small.
