Nice area quiet road. Nice restaurant near by called Miami with huge portions. Very much like a diner but very unique. Had whole flat to ourselves. Breakfast was superb. Healthy as well.
We had reserved a room with two beds but when we got there he didn't see our reservation through booking.com and because of this he was booked except for another room across the road. It was only a single bed and didn't have a working t.v. it was a good thing I had a working laptop to watch a movie on there. And at the end when I paid he charged me 141 NOT the original price I reserved it for even though I didn't get the desired room. I was expecting at least a sorry and discount.
Host is very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfasts.
Bathroom was tiny. Not "spa" at all. Bad shower for women.
Very nice room, clean, the owner is really nice, and the breakfast is awesome. Very close to the subway but a little pushed back from the traffic which is nice.
Not enough supplies are provided. I would have liked to seen the bathroom fully stocked with toilet paper, toothpaste, new towels, etc. These would have made the experience perfect. Aside from that the only other complaint is being by the street you hear some weird things and at one point smoke came through the window into the bedroom (nasty).
Easy access to the Metro Cute and cozy room Free Wi-Fi Traditional breakfasts Very kind host
The place was comfortable and clean.
The owner charged us $200 extra just as we were checking out and asked us for cash (though he advertised that he accepted credit cards). He gave us no receipt, no breakfast, insisted that he sent a contract (which never arrived), and didn't follow the terms of the booking.com arrangement. I scrutinized the reviews before deciding on this place, and there was no indication that breakfast was not included. Also, people mentioned that the owner was friendly and engaging, but he was very remote with us. Finally, it was virtually impossible to use Wifi there.
pleasant staff,friendly atmosphere,comfortable beds!
basement room,a little dark!
Location was very good - mere minutes walk to the nearest underground station and there was plenty of parking space close to the Gite. Very nice, welcoming staff.
Bed and Breakfast was only 50% correct as there was NO breakfast. There was a bed, however, the space around it was just enough for a slim person to walk around whilst scraping on the walls. Our bathroom was next door to the bedroom, apparently just for our use, but there were two other rooms on the floor and it was very inconvenient when getting up in the middle of the night for a wee - we had to get dressed not to risk being seen naked by total strangers. We felt there was no privacy. We had no use of the kitchen, which was on our floor too - we would have loved to use the fridge but it was already full and not cool/cold at all anyway, so we did not bother asking if we could use it. (The lady that greeted us only spoke French - not sure either of us could have explained what we needed in French.) No airconditioning and being on the ground floor, we couldn't risk leaving the window open. Also, impossible to sleep with the lovely water feature rattling under our noses. Lovely, as one of us liked it but the other couldn't sleep, so a bit of a fail. The blinds were broken and couldn't be used so that we were separate from the prying eyes of passers by. We are very unlikely to stay there again.
Quiet neighbourhood - out of the downtown but very close to a subway station, convenience stores, Olympic Stadium. Good Wi-Fi, helpful, courteous proprietor
Location very near subway, near Olympic park. Very walkable area. B&B very nice inside, and the adjacent bathroom is spacious.
So the host indicated that our rate was not including breakfast because it was the 'economy' rate. There was nothing in the booking that suggested this, and I noted other comments where he made up other reasons. I don't know what the real deal was here, but he did relent and make what turned out to be a good breakfast. But the two nights we were there we did feel awkward at times like we were imposing.
Marc and Marcell were very friendly, the bed was comfortable, and we LOVED the large jacuzzi tub. Parking was readily available on the street right outside, which was a huge plus. Great pick, and very reasonably priced.
The bathroom wasn't connected to the bedroom, would have been awkward if the second room was booked, walking to and from the bathroom to the bedroom right after a shower, but luckily we had the place to ourselves.
Excellent rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfasts, cleanliness, friendly staff
