Super location, we liked being out of the super touristy area yet within walking distance to old city. Bus was also close when the kids were tired. Large basement room great for a family with own common room appreciated. Would recommend.
The entrance to the basement room was via the heaters and that was smelly. We would have preferred to enter by the house. There was a slight odor from the heaters in the basement but sleeping room was fine. This is only a problem if you stay indoors, we only slept there.
Authentic French atmosphere, homely feel, easy to find way back from attractions, buffet breakfast. Something different from hotel stays.
Had a bit of trouble connecting to wi-fi so gave up. Someone more au-fait with technology probably could have worked it out.
loved the terrace! loved the nice size room and the beautiful private bathroom. Everything was spotless. Our hostess was delightful, accommodating and attentive.
the bed was a little hard for our liking
quiet nice place, wonderful breakfast, excellent staff
we didn't notice the shared bathroom when we booked the place, not exactly what we are used to...
Clean, good breakfast buffet and good value for money
The location was great, walking distance to everything.
My shower dripped which I could hear all night
Facility: friendly staff, convenience of kitchen, decor. Location: Within easy walking distance of Plains of Abraham, Musee des Beaux Arts, and Old Town.
Room for part of stay had dedicated bathroom and closet, but these weren't ensuite.
Very friendly hosts. I had booked the suite which was comfortable. Very nice breakfast
Walking distance to old city. Beautifully renovated older home with large bedrooms upstairs. Informative staff and home cooked pastries for b'fast.
Le Widor is in a good location for walking to restaurants and sights. We did not rent a car. The patio is nice in the summer and gusets have access to the kitchen to store and prepare food.
Not all bathrooms are attached to the room and ours was so tiny my husband had a hard time using it comfortably. The bed in the Sonata room is not comfortable. The breakfast at Le Widor is toast and juice and fruit. For a hot breakfast, you are given vouchers for a cafe a short walk away. Le Widor is not what I expected from a B&B.
- The internet did not work in our room. - it is advertised as B & B, but it is not. We were given a 10 dollar coupon for breakfast and we had to spend more to have a full breakfast. There were some breads, juices, milk in the fridge to eat from, but that is not really breakfast to me.
Location . Close to old city ,
Midday check out. Outdoor patio.
There was not lock on the bedroom door. They don't cook breakfast at the B&B (you have to go to a cafe around the corner with a voucher, althought cafe was really good).
Propreté. Situation géographique
Had I known that I would have to go out for breakfast, I would not have booked there. The $10 voucher did not cover basic breakfast unless one feels that toast, jam and coffee are in order. My room was the blue one on the pictures without the chair - furniture was Salvation Army recuperated. This room is a former dining-room and the corner-cupboards will not accomodate your personal items. The light shows through the glass semi-circle at the top of the added doors and one hears people walking in the hallway. It is a noisy corner and one has to leave the noisy air-conditioning unit on in order to sleep. Bathroom is very small and there is no wardrobe in the "dining-room" nor any hook where one can hang a coat. Definitely not a 4-star B & B. Will not return and will not recommend.
Good kitchen. Able to cook dinner. Sun room off the kitchen was beautiful. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful.
Lay out was cut up. Breakfast was not served. No parking. Didn't restock kitchen. Noise by the street was sleep interrupting.
Staff extremely helpful. The kitchen was so useful to cook for our 2 year-old daughter. The room was closed to the kitchen, there was no worry to let the baby sleep in the room while we were cooking. We had a great time.
We loved its location being so close to Cartier and the old city.
We did not like the noisiness of Grand Allee during the late night hours when crowds come back when the bars closed, and in the early morning when the trucks and traffic was in full swing.
The location was fantastic for getting anywhere, but in a wonderful neighborhood that was out of the tourists area but trendy and fun. (A 15 minute walk to old town and right across from Plains of Abraham. Our room and bath were huge and very comfortable. We had the use of a well equipped kitchen and dining area that was bright and sunny. We even had the use of a washer and dryer. The cafe that we had breakfast in (with a $20 coupon) was one of the best in the city and we loved eating on the terrace each morning. This was a great find in a city that can be expensive. We loved it and would go back again. Yes, yes, stay there.
There was nothing I didn't like. It was a good pick.
It is close to the Plains of Abraham and an easy walk to the city centre and restaurants.
We were required to go to a local restaurant for breakfast. We were given a $10.00 voucher each but the prices were more than that, so breakfast cost more. The beds were poor, more like roll away cots than proper beds.
