Our room looked as if someone had been staying in it. The comforter on the bed was rumbled but clean. The arm chair was old and needed cleaning - dark, dirty spots on the arms and head area. The carpet was dirty. It looked like this room was not usually rented to the public, but was perhaps being used on the long weekend to accommodate anyone who would stay in it. While we were getting ready to leave the next morning, a person, who appeared to be homeless, came from the back of the property and hung out while we were packing the car. He tried to talk with us and said that we didn't need to close the room as he would be moving in as soon as we left! Since other persons who've commented on this website have not reported a similar experience, we have decided that we had been given a room not normally used for the public. There was no clock or fridge in the room, and light could be seen between the door and the threshold. There were no other hotel rooms available in the area, or we would have tried to cancel our reservation. Since we had a reservation that could not be cancelled without paying for the room, we decided to stay. Otherwise, our stay was safe and uneventful.
I have said I would not recommend this motel to others based on our experience, but I would recommend that people ask to check out the room before making a final decision.
Price and staff. Nice, modern bathroom. Good air conditioning.
Decent restaurant next door called Ronnie's.
