Excellent facilities. Lot of space.
No shower in the master bathroom. Only Jetted tub.
Loved the room. Great kitchen, bed and living area. Outstanding view from the room. Nice lobby area.
Felt like home away from home
Very peaceful surroundings, Second year we have chosen Lizard Creek Lodge as the ending point for our vacation. Excellent price for a condo over looking the ski hill. Had supper at the hotel for our anniversary and it was amazing.
Needs a bbq that can be used for guests. Would have been great to grill :)
The view was incredible, we had a loft suite it was awesome it was a lot more than expected, the kids loved the pool, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The beds were hard didn't have the best sleep.
The spacious wonderfully laid out setting and Hot tub! :)
Nothing. All good!
Room was clean, staff was friendly, price was right and restaurant very good, fairly priced :^)
This is not a "dislike" but more just a general observation. The corridors need the carpets replaced e.g. a lot of worn spots right through to the carpet fibers.
Clean. Lots of room. Beautiful surroundings.
Please replace the shower head in room 2205. It's really horrible.
Room, resturant, location
Beautiful place, although we didn't get to experience the pool due to check-in problems. The rooms that we stayed in were clean and also beautiful. I slept on a couch.
We had a confirmed reservation for a one bedroom loft. Arrived at 9 p.m. Given a room in a second building with one bed & one sofa bed for myself and three teenagers. Walked back to office and told that the loft rooms needed to be cleaned and one would be ready in 35 minutes. After waiting for a bit, was told the cleaning staff was gone home so we would get another complimentary room in the same building as the other wrong room. Walked back to the second building to find an uncleaned complimentary room.Walked back to office. Given another small room in the office building. Walked back to second building to settle in 2 teenagers. Walked back to office building to settle myself and other teenager, 90 minutes after we arrived. At checkout was told no discount as we 'got a complimentary room', but she did eventually take $20 off since I said it wasn't fair I pay the one bedroom loft price when I didn't get the one bedroom loft family experience that I planned. Yes I would recommend this place, but maybe call ahead as from reading other reviews it sounds like this has happened to others.
The peacefulness, not too busy.
The pool was closed for 4 of the 5 days we were there. That was the main reason why we choose The Lizard Lodge.
The suite was a great size and has everything a traveller might need. The food in the restuarant was fabulous.
Little things but they make an impression. No caffeinated coffee for our room, dirty floors, torn carpet, dirty BBQ, small dirty deck, several light bulbs burnt out, hot tub jets weren't working and hard to find help. The breakfast menu was very limited if you didn't have a meal plan. Looked like pricey full meal deal or pricey continental so we drove back into Fernie for breakfast. I was a little disappointed because it is a beautiful property and has great potential for summer guests as well as winter.
The views were great from each angle. Activities on site were wonderful.
The beds were a little hard.
Very nice room. Great chef. Lovely view and swimming pool.
The bed could have been better. Also low on soap and TP.
Urgency to address issues.
pool for the kids, and endless activities
wish the restaurant was a bit more "price" friendly for families with kids
Beautiful room, amazing views, excellent facilities. For the price, you could never imagine such a gorgeous resort. Paid $84 thru Booking.com
Bed was very saggy and uncomfortable. No where near enough chairs around pool area.
Spacious kitchen & appliances & living space. Staff friendly. location - quick access to major highway
Continental breakfast was cleaned-out shortly after opening & staff uninterested in finding more food. Pool area was not cared for after a storm & we were unable to use the hot tub the morning following.
Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The lodge was large, clean, comfy, and very good value for the price we paid. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and cutlery one could need during a weekend away. The beds - perfect! Loved the fireplace and the extra amenities provided.
One employee working the front desk (Swati, I think her name was) does not belong in the service or tourism industry. If management would like to follow up on this issue I would be more than happy to elaborate. The only ice machine in our building was not working. The jets on the outside hot tub in out building wasn't working. The complimentary breakfast was very poor, with all the beverage jugs empty and most of the food gone, even though there was still 90 minutes left for the breakfast. Not that we could have eaten anyway as there were no plates or utensils, either. I think it would be beneficial to not have a complimentary breakfast at all, rather than get guests' hopes up and offer such subpar service.
It's a beautiful location
That I had to leave, lol
Fresh mountain air and spectacular views. You felt that you were in a mountain wilderness and yet you had anything you might need within minutes of the lodge. We will be visiting Lizard Creek again.
The location was lovely
The balcony was too small. The room was cozy but too small.
Quiet - great time of year for families with different summer activities. Beautiful room with nice "mini" patio - well stocked kitchen with beautiful appliances. Gorgeous pool and hot tub.
King size bed sagged in the middle.
Could be more cooking utensils (pans , pots)
