Asked if WiFi was available, answer was yes, no password needed. WiFi was not even hit and miss. Login would last 15 seconds then dropped. Took 15-20 minutes to have it repeat again. Front desk person had no idea what to do, I think he wiggled the cable on their WiFi unit. Bed was one of the worst ever. Tried all 3 bed equally bad.
Location to ski hill
The diningroom was lovely, and food was very good, and the staff attentive.
Something was weird about our room. We had a king bed and a very big space next to it. Something was missing—a sofa? a table and chairs? And the carpet was old, worn, and filthy! I wouldn't walk on it barefooted.
Just like home.
A bit far out of town for the non- skier or mountain biker.
Although the bathroom is large, there is not counter space!
Upgraded to a larger room so they could have all guests in one building. Of our three stays this has happened twice
The overhead door to the parking garage broke and we waited extra 1.5 hours to leave. Also the carpet in our unit was torn and worn. The unit needs to be refreshed
The room itself was great. Looked good and was clean and comfortable.
Had no power from 7pm till 7am and was only given a tiny little candle that did very little to light up the room. I know the power going out was not their fault but I expected them to be more prepared than they were or maybe at least offer some sort of discount on a return visit. Not that I expected that, but I know I would have been impressed if they had.
the weather was perfect and the hotel is in perfect location beautiful view from the balcony perfect weekend thank you
Room was a one bedroom condo with two bathrooms, each with a tub (1 soaker, 1 jet tub). Living area was open concept with beautiful kitchen and everything you'd need and more! Fireplace and large flat screen TV. King size bed which was extremely comfortable. Balcony with chairs and side table and beautiful mountain view.
We had several problems. On check in we were given a room which was already occupied. Opened the door to a guest in his briefs! Moved to room where the fireplace didn't work and found a pair of female underwear on the floor by the bed. Staff were absolutely great about taking care of these issues and settled the bill to my satisfaction.
Beds were very comfortable People at front desk were very helpful and friendly We were on motorcycles and were able to park underground. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Beautiful views Would definitely stay here again.
What's not to like.
We generally enjoy visiting the Fernie are and the Lizard Creek Lodge is very nice but it obviously was the wrong time of year to stay there.
I wish that we had been told that the lodge and the restaurants and activities surrounding it were closed at this time of year. We would have stayed at a place in Fernie rather than on the mountain.
The pride in the summer time is really good. The staff are helpful but seems under staffed. Location is nice.
Could use some updating. The hot tub was not very hot. The tiles were in poor shape. Often out of towels for the hot tub area especially when using 2nd and 3rd building.
We loved that we had underground parking and a room with a mountain view. the kitchen was sufficient for two people. Access to the room was very close for me who walks with a cane
Did not know from the site what was supplied, ,like coffee, salt & pepper. Did not know that the restaurant was closed. It was our 30th and had planned to go to the dining room.
Beautiful room, great location
We were disappointed with our experience with the front desk staff. Several people were very rude to us. Unlike most hotels, lizard creek did not allow us to drop off luggage when we arrived before our room was ready. The restaurant was also closed for dinner both nights.
Bed mattress could have been better. Expected better.
Excellent facilities. Lot of space.
No shower in the master bathroom. Only Jetted tub.
Loved the room. Great kitchen, bed and living area. Outstanding view from the room. Nice lobby area.
Felt like home away from home
* location & setting * rooms were great, with modern facilities
* internet service was unavailable during our stay in the main building * pool is nice but really just for the kids
Very peaceful surroundings, Second year we have chosen Lizard Creek Lodge as the ending point for our vacation. Excellent price for a condo over looking the ski hill. Had supper at the hotel for our anniversary and it was amazing.
Needs a bbq that can be used for guests. Would have been great to grill :)
The view was incredible, we had a loft suite it was awesome it was a lot more than expected, the kids loved the pool, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The beds were hard didn't have the best sleep.
on hill right at chairlift, great view of mountain nice pool and hottub, clean, everything quite handy quiet nice big rooms with kitchens
in one sentence the complimentary breakfast basically sucked, the room was too small for one the one toaster line, no coffee, milk stuff was laughable. Really if you want to cheap out like that don't offer a breakfast at all, it was embarrassing, second day we grabbed what stuff we could out of that tiny room "bread etc an brought it back to our room and made our own breakfast again how cheap can you get, and the hours they had breakfast on were also silly 6a.m to 9a.m. hey i'm on vacation I don't get up until at least 8:30 a.m. who ever is running this place now needs to have a good look around and see how other Hotels and Resorts do things, or they may have a problem in future
The spacious wonderfully laid out setting and Hot tub! :)
Nothing. All good!
Room was clean, staff was friendly, price was right and restaurant very good, fairly priced :^)
This is not a "dislike" but more just a general observation. The corridors need the carpets replaced e.g. a lot of worn spots right through to the carpet fibers.
