The staff was absolutely not welcoming on the moment of the reception and limited his role to merely asking signature on a form. Our room, although highly priced, had a look only on the garbage containers and the noisy ventilators of the kitchen ! The airco in the room was also noisy. Our room should have been a suite but did not include a separate living room and 2 TV's ad nevertheless stated in the reservation confirmation. Our efforts to obtain an accomodation as promised in the confirmation were unsuccessful.

I stayed in extra king room. The beds were comfy and big. The spa with 3 outdoor jacuzzi were great for relaxation. The view to parking was beautiful with colorful trees and leaves. smell in pool was a bit strong.

The reception staff were unfriendly - unlike all the other hotels in which we stayed during our trip to Canada where service was outstanding. The room was vastly overpriced. Sunday breakfast was of inferior quality and the breakfast room was unbearably cold. We were very disappointed with this hotel.

The staff at reception could not find our booking. After much head scratching and dissappearing into the back office the realised they had checked someone else into our room. They gave us a room on the first floor but the first floor is actually a basement. It smelt musty and the view was of car hub caps. Very expensive for this sub standard room.

I stayed at the Lobstick Lodge primarily for its location within the Canadian Rockies. It certainly did not disappoint, the hotel is comfortable with good facilities but the fact that it in the middle of one of the worlds most beautiful national parks is its ace in the hole!! The only negative I have to add is that I was unable (due to work committments) to stay longer!!

Our stay was fine, nothing special. The staff was very friendly throughout the hotel, no matter where you saw them. There are quite a few 'kitchenettes' available, that also meant that there are quite a few 'families' with small children. But that was never a problem with regards to noise levels during our stay. Fairly pricy but ok with that, because of location. Rooms were a bit to warm, but we were able to open windows, so was ok.

Location and price The room seemed to have little sound dampening. Many sounds from hallway, plumbing, neighbours kept us awake until nearly midnight. I would not recommend the Lobstick to others.

The kitchenette is very handy for making lunches and suppers. The staff was helpful and courteous. The fire extinguisher was empty and the lack of a hood fan allowed cooking odours to linger.

Friendly staff-good breakfast buffet-nice hot tubs-nice room Our room temp. Was at 10 degrees. It took a lon time for it to warm up. I wore my coat. May I make a suggestion that when the room is booked, that the temp. Be turned up when the room is made up. The hot tubs ,pool, and sauna were exellent, but the change and shower room was not. This area accommodates a lot of people, and does not have sufficient rooms.

The staff was friendly and the price was good They didn't clean our room till after we got back from snowboarding all day. It was kinda awkward when they arrive to clean it. They had all day and they wait till 430pm to clean it!! And only one of the three hot tubs worked outside. I don't know if I'd stay there again

Good value for money spent. Had an adjoining kitchen suite with family and this worked very well. Hotel was extremely busy when we checked in and our area on the bottom floor with the kitchen suites seemed full with a lot of people and a lot of different smells cooking in the various rooms!

Our hotel room was very nice. It was clean, and had everything we needed in it. Also I liked that pool/hot-tub use was complimentary. Hotel restaurant is expensive. No silverware in room. Pool/hot-tub/other amenities had limited hours.

“i loved it. the room was cozy and clean. the staff were profession and personable. when i checked in the clerk had my reservation ready immediately, she looked into some evening entertainment for us, she showed us where to go for the dinner we wanted (which was a great fit for us, the brewing co.). next time we are in jasper we will be sure to use all the facilities the tonquin inn offers - our only regret is that we didn't stay long enough! thanks for a great stay!” Crystal, Calgary |
