Great room. Washroom was excellent.
Chair for desk was very low
They upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge.
Although I was a single female traveller the women on staff were very welcoming which I do not always find the case. Of course that made the stay excellent and I dealt almost exclusively with female staff.
I made arrangements to stay at the Loews on de la Montange rather than the usual Hotel Place d'Armes. It was a shorter trip, I didn't need as much space, and my discussions with the hotel staff via email seemed like it would work out. It did not. The restaurant was nice. Very well done. But it didn't make up for everything else. They did provide a fridge, which was nice since the minibar is one of those with no space for customers. But it was put right in the middle of the exit of the bed so it required moving.
I was upgraded (I don't know if it was at cost) to a Supreme room. The room was all mirrors on one wall. The pictures above the bed glorified 1950s women smoking. The bathroom, while large was clearly dated. I had said that I specifically needed to know that the toilet was far from the shower. I was assured it was. This is an condition at any hotel. There was a wall between it and the shower that was insanely tiny and slippery as hell (I slipped and fell, and my back still hurts). But the shower exit put you within a foot of the toilet. The 'wall' simply meant the toilet wasn't in the shower. I was livid that I had been, effectively, lied to. USB ports in the desk were a very cool addition. Too bad they didn't work. Wifi was FAR overpriced if you wanted any speed. The bed was not a king, but a queen. Or perhaps they call it a king, but it wasn't. The halls were ice cold. The closet for the room was in the way. A TV in the bathroom made it feel tacky. Three drawers, all shallow, were all that were available for clothing storage. The finish on the furniture was a very tacky fake zebra wood. I had asked, as usual, that the towels be left on the bed rather than the bathroom. And for 12 bath towels. And that the bed be made with a blanket rather than duvet. There were 6 towels. And one of the 4 days, the towels were back in the bathroom. But parking was the worst. I drive a Mazda 3. A very short car, but with a Thule box on top. I was told I was unable to park in their garage, but would need to park next door in an outdoor lot. $120 parking fee. And that was with no in and out. I will NEVER stay at this Loews again. I wish I had paid more to stay where I usually do, or taken a chance on the Sofitel. I'd rather stay at Lowes. Stay away.
Great staff, clean newly renovated rooms, and very good location. The attached bistro is also a fine place for meals. Close to metro stop and right in the heart of the shopping district.
Everything. Most helpful staff. Top end room, very pleased with up grade. French Bistro better than any bistro in France and were the waiters.
What's not to like?
The thoughtfulness of the front desk staff, the promptness of all the staff, and everyone was extremely helpful and courteous.
Staff The restaurant & bar The quiet room
Location is the best
Construction at 5:00am outside the hotel

Location, location, location Service Clean & Comfortable Friendly & Helpful Staff Great Bar & Restaurant
Great location Beautiful hotel Good Management - all the problems I had were easily taken care of
Careless mistakes on behalf of staff. Upon checking in was given wrong room number and walked in on guests already in room Was over charged for Valet parking
Location was great Room size was huge Very comfortable!
Bathrooms could use an update
I felt very secure and comfortable during my stay. The reception staff were always very helpful. The bed was so comfy and the breakfast was delicious.Everything was perfect.
There was nothing to not like
Awesome service with friendly staff. The location was ideal and the room was clean and modern.
I appreciated the layout and appearance of the room, including the couch oriented towards the television. All staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful.
The mattress was very poor and should have been discarded a long time ago. Each side was a virtual hammock, very uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to get home to have a good night's sleep. I also disliked the graduated wireless access (which just seemed kind of grabby to me).
- Friendly, Helpful & Attentive Service from all Hotel Staff. - Excellent Location for exploring Montreal on foot or by car. - Convenient Valet Parking ($35/night). - Walking distance to several good quality restaurants that are family friendly.
Size of the room Comfort of bed and bedding Bathroom was lovely Overall beautiful and comfortable
Noisy from the cars on the street. Might be worth putting triple paned windows in as I actually thought the window was open as it was so noisy. The WIFI was a bit slow.
Our room was lovely inside. We especially loved the cleanliness and great style. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
My only complaint was the construction noise outside very early in the morning.
Large room. Interior designs were well done. Front desk very accomodating.
Would like to see your complimentary wifi last the entire stay, not having to sign in every day.
location , location , location .... service was equal to 5 star hotel and rooms are very good size ... we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights
Great location Large clean room
Wifi cut out at times No pool or spa
