The staff are amazing. Extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions you have. We encountered a few issues while staying there (broken AC being the main one) and they fixed the AC but also upgraded us to a new suite that was amazing and newly renovated. The valets were very helpful with moving all of our baby gear twice and deserve every penny they make - tip them well! The desk manager (Daniel?) made our stay truly pleasurable as he was extremely helpful and generous with his time.
The loft was beautifully decorated, clean, and well equipped. Staff are great-very helpful getting suitcases up all the flights of stairs.
Music from the bar down the street was loud until 2am or so every night and the windows have zero noise insulation. One bedroom has no windows but noisy nonetheless from the floor above.
Great location with loads of restaurants and close to public transport. The staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. The studio was spacious and had nice comfy king size bed with a big fluffy quilt and a underlay. The dining suit, sofa and armchair were all OK but not luxurious. The stove/oven and microwave were the largest I think I've ever seen in a small apartment.
There could have been more cookware. While we ate out at the multitude of close by restaurants, there wasn't even a microwave -proof dish, and minimal crockery. The unit could have been cleaned a little more closely but was OK, just not spotless. If you sleep light then this area may not be for you. It is noisy especially on weekends - this didn't bother us but take good earplugs if you think you'll need them
Great location, very clean, comfortable, would go back again
Could be more generous with amenities in kitchen such as starter kit of coffee or tea , paper towels, salt, pepper , or even water. There was nothing.
The location was perfect and the room was well appointed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
There is no elevator and I was given a room on the top floor. Lugging your bags up and down was a definite cardio workout.
The restaurant downstaris from loft is excellent, with night time jazz. You could not have a better location. Staff is very caring and attentive. Great breakfast!
Some may not like the walk down the street to lofts from check in or the walk upstairs to the suite.
Location, the bed, size
Finishing wasn't up to scratch and could have done with its own parking space.
Fabulous newly decorated loft apartment, comfortable, spacious & well situated. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. Staff always helpful and polite. Rooftop restaurant in the main building was a real treat. Interesting area and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Some floor noise from the apartment above.
Old world style with modern amenities. Great corner loft located close to shopping, restaurants and sights.
The bed was oddly lopsided - maybe because the floor wasn't level? Guests should be aware that there are three flights of stairs to climb/descend every time you arrive/leave. Kind of noisy, so probably isn't the place for you if you're looking for quiet and solitude.
We were so lucky to stay at the Lofts du Vieux-Port in a 2 bedroom loft. The staff were amazing from the time our car door was opened by Stephen the valet. They helped us with all of our needs. The loft itself was stunning! Approximately 1000 square feet, with all the amenities. One room had a beautiful en suite with rain shower head and adjustable massage jets. It also had a clawfoot tub. Both bedrooms have a flat screen tv as well as one in the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped and allows for full cooking if you so choose. Step out the building and you are right on the streets of Old Montreal's restaurants and shops. Amazing location. Daniel the front office manager was so fabulous and although they were fully booked when we didn't want to go home, he found us another room at their sister property and negotiated a better rate for us! I would definitely return again and again!
I liked the location
I thought for the price we paid, the accommodations / finishes could have been a higher caliber.
Great location. Excellent responsive staff. Valet parking a plus.
Older building, which was desired, but comes with issues such as noise and extensive wear and tear.
Location and accommodations were exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our loft was beautifully furnished.
Many stairs. But not terrible. Elevator would be nice.
Location, apartment was great for family. We loved it.
Breakfast could be included in appartment price
Loved the rental, the bed was comfy, great bathrooms
Could use ceiling fans in the bedrooms, someone was supposed to help with the luggage when we left (they did when we arrived) but the morning (6 AM) said they couldn't bring the car to us - then called back and said they could (we asked twice about this to be sure). By then My husband was mad and we took the luggage down the steps and walked to get the car. It's never good to end on a sour note.
View from both sides of corner room onto pedestrian area. Central location for exploring Vieux Montreal. Staff were very service oriented and helpful.
Climb up 40 steps to get to our apartment. Staff helped with luggage upon check-in and check-out so that mitigated this issue.
The staff gave us service that was beyond exceptional. The consierge and valet went above and beyond to exceed every request we had and gave us fabulous recommendations for dining, site seeing and public transportation. The loft (#711) was gorgeous and chic- perfect for a romantic getaway to Montreal for a 35yr old and 43yr old husband and wife. The price was unbeatable.
There was nothing about our experience, our room, or the services we received from the staff that we didn't like.
Good location, not your typical hotel room! Old style charm.
Our room was separate from the main hotel, five minute walk. Asked for maid service on the Third day, said you only get once per 7 days, otherwise $35 charge!!!! Ya Right!! I stay in a lot of hotels in the world, I've never been charged for cleaning, refused, not for price, but principle. Parking is a nightmare, small lot, have their "regular clients" obviously, so if there's a spot it's $20/night, and they let you know everyday, and want to know when your leaving and returning each day! Better amenities elsewhere, for less. Marriott Just next door, wish we had stayed there!! NOT for kids or elderly. No help getting bags down the stairs on departure, called, 30 mins someone would be there! Forget it.
Exceptionally helpful staff and easy access to the restaurant downstairs which proved very handy during a storm
Stairs could be a problem but staff helped with the luggage
Easy access to everything.
For everything that I requested; I had to call 2-3 times. Had to call for fresh towels. Construction noise next building starting at 07:00 AM on all days!!!
- location - room feel - home away from home
- toilet flusher was broken (can be a problem for the less mechanically inclined) - upstairs guests walked with a heavy stride
Very comfortable room, nice bed, great view of the street. We would like to get the same room next year.
I would have like the breakfast included if possible.
It is in a good location of Old Montreal
There was a huge spider in the kitchen. The room was in another building a half block away from the hotel. The hotel provided breakfast for guest but not the other building because it came w a kitchen there wasn't even coffee to make on the morning. No elevator just 77 steep steps to climb every time you went to your room
The size, cleanliness, decor and comfort of the room. The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating.
We enjoyed the extra space of the loft and the location was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable.
We were warned about the lack of a lift, but the stairs, especially with luggage, was a little difficult to manage. For our return trip, we repacked our suitcases so we didn't have to carry as much up the stairs.
