In Montreal’s Latin Quarter, this hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Place des Arts Performing Arts Center as well as several restaurants. Free in-room Wi-Fi is available.
Score from 709 reviews Very good
The location is good because it's near the UQAM subway station and also the central bus station.
The neighbourhood is not the best, with many drug addicts roaming the area. Also, the hotel is in need of a makeover. The rooms are dull and dark, and furniture is old and worn.
The carpet in room.
The Reception staff(Mr.Rangan) is so good . Printing facilities and Internet station at the lobby saved a lot of my time.
Need complimentary drinking water bottle in room.
Location - close to Metro station, wi-fi, restaurant on site spacious room
The decor was very outdated - it felt like stepping into 80s
italian waiter /manager wednesday evening excellent
Everything was good
the location is good, close to downtown, the service in the restaurant in the hotel is good.
the parking space is too tight, the coffee maker was not clean, lots of coffee grinds left in the coffee maker.
The location of the hotel is perfect. close to the metro so we could use the train to move around the city and walk to restaurants. The beds were comfy.
The front office staff was a little grumpy for me.They were helpful for sure however a little smile can go a long way. They didnt smile at all. When you talked to them it was like you were bothering them. With two exceptions for sure, one lovely gentleman and a lady with brown long hair. I am in the same industry and i was really not impressed by that lack of upbeat personality. Otherwise apart from all that, all was well.
Restaurant in foyer.Excellent food, good value and friendly staff.
poor car parking area only suitable for very small cars. Hidden government Taxes that were added to the bill
Location. Location. Only one block from Metro station. Within walking distance to old Montreal. Ditto to downtown. Safe & quiet.
The location was great.there is a small lobby but very tastefully done.our room again was tasteful , large and very clean, with an updated bathroom, with good towels.Adjacent to the lobby is a wonderful restaurant ...with great food and a very friendly staff. The hotel was a great deal compared to other hotels...economic but nice...
Location was perfect for what I wanted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room were nice - shower was amazing!
Wifi was slow.
Location, price, common areas

First answer says it all
Location is just excellent. Took 747 from Trudeau Airport and got off just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Lord Berri hotel is within walking distance to the Vieux Port, Old Montreal, Latin Quarter, Rue Sainte-Catherine and more. 2 minutes walk from the Berri UQAM underground station, 10 minutes from coach station. Room was quite large and very quiet.
Some members of staff need to be more proactive. They messed up with one of my bookings but after a bit of pressure, they sorted it out. The room was fairly clean. Seems like cleaners don't look under beds
Mediocre, Expensive for amenities and service. Mattress unconfortable.
The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast selection was good, well prepared with friendly but not overbearing servers. Hotel restaurant is clean and inviting. I heard that the rooms are going to be refurbished by next summer. Many, many restaurants, including vegetarian, within a 10 minute walk. Subway in easy reach on foot. Reception staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would stay there again.
The rooms we had were clean but in need of a makeover which I heard will be happening soon.
Metro was 1 street away making it so convenient to get around the city
Wi-Fi was very poor
Location is great, short walk to restaurants and bars on Saint Danis
Rooms are not fancy, but clean and very reasonable for the price I paid.
Excellent location. Walking distance to Old Montreal, St Catherine's St, Gay Village, transit and restaurants
the customer service
Everything was great. The French staff was great and all spoke English very well. The independent restaurant off of the lobby was super and not expensive. The meals were great and cooked just the way you want it. The facility is with in walking distance for all you want to see. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a reasonable place to stay.
The maintenance department is a little lax on faucet repairs.
Location was awesome. Loved having a coffee pot and fridge in the room. We rode the bus and subway alot therefore the location was great.
the bed was not very comfortable.
