It was our first visit to Ottawa. My family and I stayed there for Canada Day. We enjoyed the hotel very much. It was very clean, comfortable, excellent staff, amazing location. We appreciated very much the complimentary coffee. Hope to return in the future. |

Bouncing on the bed, watching the changing of the gards walking down the street and flashing people from the window Everything, most of staff was very rude, mislead from pictures and was told from staff when we called about what was there or would be.. Booking was cancelled by hotel and we were not informed. Nasty stains on beds, charged for cots and cribs when in paper was "free".. Phone calls charged for when staff told us that it was free. Valet took almost 1 hour wait..waste of most of our day. Expectations of this hotel were never met, considering the website. |

The Lord Elgin is perfectly situated for exploring Ottawa. It is within 200m of the public transit bus stop ($2.30) from the airport. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The bath (room) was on the small side |

I liked the central location in Ottawa, easy to walk to many things, the children enjoyed the pool and we found the room very comfortable and the cleaning staff helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. Also the valet service was very good. No |

Very nice hotel. Large room with King bed. Bed was huge! Overlooking city. Starbucks inside building. Valet was great. Window was foggy and after complaining were only offered a room in the back of the hotel where there was no city view. Hot tub was very small for a hotel. |

The people that serviced you Room 304 was above a genrator or a van outside. The noise was to havy. It was a shame. At 7 am, ther was a fone call with advertising about the hotel. Terribel. |

good location. easy valet parking. good value. ac/heat unit didn't work in room..got really hot at night and so we had to sleep with window open (very noisy). no free wifi in lobby..business centre computers were very dirty( keyboard slimy) and slow connection. Some material outdated in literature about hotel..no robes in room..charges regarding newspapers..no minibar/fridge. |

The location is excellent for someone visiting Ottawa for the first time because it's at walking distance to all the tourist attractions(museums, parlament buildings, farmers market). Even the bike rental place was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. |

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and generally well-appointed bathrooms and bedrooms. Proximity to Byward Market and other down-town venues is great and the main reason we chose to stay at the Lord Elgin. Prices are competitive. Our room was too small for two people. Office centre had disfunctional UBS drives and was rarely available. Hence, we incurred internet charges that we had not anticipated. Restaurant is mediocre. |
