Staff were very helpful and internet access wonderful! Only two sachets of coffee which made two small cups of coffee! We stayed 4 days and linen on beds was not changed. |

location and architectural character well, our door could not open one evening (11:45pm) and we had to wait for a maintenance person to come and open with a key.He told us that in the morning that the battery will be replaced and that we would not have this problem again. The next morning, we went to have breakfast (cafe Elgin), and we went back to our room. We could not enter the room because of the same problem. What was frustrating was that it took about 40 minutes to get someone to come up with the key in which the lock problem should have been solved earlier that morning! |

The location of the hotel is the best when you visit Ottawa. The noice in the bathroom when you were flashing. We could hear the flashing from the room next to us. |

Staff accommodated us tea drinkers by providing upon request, a proper kettle to boil water and a carton of milk as the usual coffee makers are not the best for boiling water for tea! Great after a day of sight seeing. Parking lads were terrific with directions. The location is perfect - easy walking to the Parliament buildings, Byward market and shopping, art galleries etc. Not much! Would have loved free internet! |

THe closness to downtown area. But there are many other hotels close by. They will be my next choice. Too exspensive for what there was to offer. THe rooms we booked was small uncomfortable, the mattress was run down and a cheap mattress pad on top to hide the broken floppy mattress. THe bath room was unclean and so small you had to walk in then close the door to get into the shower and us the facilties. THe water was hot then cold could not balance it. Very disatisfied. Staff at the front desk really did care to help, it was like I was bothering them. |

location, value for money coffee shop was understaffed and a little pricey for a standard breakfast buffet.I could have done without the live concert in the park right across the street until 11 pm |

It was our first visit to Ottawa. My family and I stayed there for Canada Day. We enjoyed the hotel very much. It was very clean, comfortable, excellent staff, amazing location. We appreciated very much the complimentary coffee. Hope to return in the future. |

Bouncing on the bed, watching the changing of the gards walking down the street and flashing people from the window Everything, most of staff was very rude, mislead from pictures and was told from staff when we called about what was there or would be.. Booking was cancelled by hotel and we were not informed. Nasty stains on beds, charged for cots and cribs when in paper was "free".. Phone calls charged for when staff told us that it was free. Valet took almost 1 hour wait..waste of most of our day. Expectations of this hotel were never met, considering the website. |

The Lord Elgin is perfectly situated for exploring Ottawa. It is within 200m of the public transit bus stop ($2.30) from the airport. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The bath (room) was on the small side |

I liked the central location in Ottawa, easy to walk to many things, the children enjoyed the pool and we found the room very comfortable and the cleaning staff helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. Also the valet service was very good. No |

Very nice hotel. Large room with King bed. Bed was huge! Overlooking city. Starbucks inside building. Valet was great. Window was foggy and after complaining were only offered a room in the back of the hotel where there was no city view. Hot tub was very small for a hotel. |
