Score from 99 reviews Wonderful
The old world charm of the suite, privacy and central location to good seafood restaurants.
We had room number 2 very nice, tastefully done in the Victorian mode, the bed was comfortable.ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, good food, overall an enjoyable stay.
If the room had a frig our stay would have been perfect.
Charming place to stay near the Cabot Trail. Room was clean and comfortable.
Difficult to get large luggage in and out if staying on the second floor as there are no ramps or elevators only stairs.
Food was only average
Furnishings inferior quality. Rooms did not have coffee available. Comparatively priced accommodations offer breakfast.
Location was excellent. We parked the car and walked everywhere.
We put four adults in the room. It was a bit tight.
Loved the furniture. Felt like I was at a old manor house. Had a great lunch on the big wrap around veranda. Very good.
Balcony was great and bathrooms were really clean
Beds were to hard and the carpets should be replaced
The outside of the building is charming.
No coffee in room, very noisy halls and doors, phone did not work, air was really loud, beds very hard, staff almost never at front desk, no vanity for toiletries in bathroom.
Roomy and comfortable, with an old fashion look
Clean comfortable accommodations in the heart of Baddeck. Close to restaurants and right across the street from the nightly Nova Scotian Celtic music venue.
The Lynwood Inn restaurant's service and food was excellent.
Easy to find (across from the Information Office) and a perfect location for exploring Baddeck. On our second night, we had a balcony overlooking the beautiful perennial gardens at the front of the building-- perfect for coffee before breakfast! We had two different rooms on two different nights-- both were comfortable and nicely decorated; the first room had a small fridge (second did not). Plenty of room for three adults. We ate dinner on the patio of the Inn's restaurant-- lovely experience! Good food but NOT a fan of canned gravy (seriously?) on the turkey dinner.
The room's air conditioner was a bit noisy and disturbed our sleep. This lodging was the most expensive of our trip, and we found it a bit pricey. As well, breakfast was not included, as it was almost everywhere else we stayed.
Rooms were adequate
Beds were like sleeping on boards.
Clean & nice shower
The bed was terrible This is a poor value for the money
The location and the restaurant.
Was disappointed that we had to climb the stairs with our luggage. We thought we were going to be in the Motel part.
We enjoyed our stay and it was an added bonus to the wedding weekend that we attended. They were very accommodating at brunch the next day when our table for 6 became a table for 14. Lovely food and a great staff! The rooms were way above our expectation. Thank you!
Inn staff friendliness
Small room size, poor food, and over priced.
Very comfortable bed and very clean room.
We did not have a bar fridge and microwave in our room.
Friendly staff, nicely decorated rooms, dining room nice place to have a glass of wine at end of the day
There is nothing at Lynwood not to like. We stay there for one night each summer and will continue to do so.
The Lynwood location in Baddeck is excellent. You may walk to the lake, restaurants and Alexander Graham Bell Museum ( a must). Newer rooms have a balcony. Older rooms have character.
We actually were two couples. One stayed in the newer wing. The room looked like a basic mid-level hotel room. Our room in the older main lobby while it had character it also felt like it was used for storage for holiday decorations. Food not included with our rate.
We really liked the location, the friendly reception staff, and the excellent restaurant staff. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Note: there is no hair dryer in the bathroom. This was not a problem for me, but it might be a problem for other travellers.
When you stay here, you will have to carry your luggage up stairs. There are no elevators. Also, the air conditioning is very loud. We were gratefull to have the air conditioning, but it the equipment was very noisy.
Old school charm. We stayed in one of the three original rooms in the 'big house'. Has the feel of a B&B. Great desserts and friendly staff. a must stay if you're in this area.
