Good for this price in downtown.
Great value, no frills, straightforward, walking distance to main downtown Toronto area
Not located in necessarily the best neighborhood, might have seen Rob Ford on my way downtown
Parking was close, not too far from downtown.
Well renovated. Good location, walking distance to Toronto downtown. Surprisingly quite in not so good neighborhood and streetcar running under the window.
Breakfast was mean, juice was perhaps a lemonade made from powder. You have to ask for a receipt after payment.
Clean Redone nicely Extremely friendly and nice staff Accomodating and helpful
Area is a bit off beaten path, but good restaurant across street!
Excellent location, helpful staff.
WiFi a bit hit and miss...
Clean, as expected on the pictures, good bed, hair dryer.
Free breakfast small Small room for breakfast (4 people max) Location of the hotel : the street is dangerous, with a lot homeless. NOT RECOMMENDED for woman alone by night.
helpful staff nice rooms good location easy transportation
no elevator bad internet poor breakfast dinning room very small
The location. The cost. The polite staff. Near public transportation
I heard a mouse in the wall, and it was never addressed. When I complained the young man at the desk asked me if I was referring to the computer mouse. When I clarified that I was talking about a mouse with four legs he only said politely, “We don’t have mice.” The comforter was stained.
There was a lot I liked. Clean bed, fresh towel, varied breakfast, clean sheets. The staff were friendly and helped me many times. Would definitely stay here again. Very reasonable prices. 9/10
The only issue I had was the WiFi which was sometimes slow. Also, a bit more variation with breakfast would be nice but that's my personal taste.
Fine room, not large but comfortable.
Breakfast room was rather small (4 seats). Neighbourhood was a bit dodgy at night.
It was value for money and the location is very good, very close to Dundas square and downtown Toronto
Simple accommodation on the edge of China town, provides convenient parking and plenty of good restaurants in the area.
The upstairs rooms have to carry suitcases to a narrow staircase.
Staff very friendly and kind Location is perfect Clean room, bed clothes and towels
A/c machine was too noisy
After reading many reviews of this place, and considering all the pros and cons and price I decided to book this place. When I arrived, I was really surprised. Unlike the Google Maps street view the building is freshly painted and remodeled. It looks clean and modern from the outside. It has a nice charm on the inside, and is very clean. I am staying for 10 days 8/13-8/23 and today is 8/21. So far everything has been amazing, and there have been no problems. The breakfast is satisfactory and pleasant considering the price - coffee, orange juice, cereal, toast, and tea. There's a vending machine in the breakfast area too, which is just next to the check in counter. The staff here are always asking how is your trip and if there is anything they can do. I've never stayed anywhere that seemed to be so concerned. Considering this hotel has only 25 rooms, it feels intimate and cozy. The WiFi is really good, however if you're in room 101 the WiFi will be spotty unless you have a powerful WiFi antennae. I got by generally but when I needed it I just sat in the kitchen eating area and used it, where it's crazy fast. I caught up with my VICE news etc. doing that. The single rooms are pretty small but really big if you're not planning on spending your trip inside a room. The beds are comfy, the sheets and bed spreads are about as white as white gets ( that's comforting, I remember staying at Circus Circus in Vegas and not really wanting to even touch the sheets ). The bathroom is small and there is a half sink with a hair dryer. That's fine with me! It's pretty cute actually. The shower is stand up and is just big enough to bend over comfortably when soaping your feet and stuff. The only complaint about that would be to have something to put some soap or your items on there with. I just used the floor which has been fine ( of the shower ). The windows have dual blackout blinds that are pretty nice.
5 minutes to Toronto downtown.
Very small room. Room service (cleaning) is very very bad.
I don't like the car parking place. I was parked close to the adjacent building as per hotel staff request. I have paid for that parking place. However, my car was so filthy while I saw on the morning. I felt really bad because so many people saliva and cigarette buts on the top of my car & windshield glass. Only this reason I wont recommend this hotel to any one.
1. I did not have a converter (power plug) and they gave me one for free to take away, a nice gesture.
Easy to access to downtown. high value for the short money.
but no restaurant around the inn & poor breakfast that was supplied by the staff
Everything just great. If you come in by car ask staff for parking at their site. Its better this way than trying figure out what street parking rools are.
High quality in consideration of the price and star rating. You get more than what you pay for.
The room was modernized & comfortable. There is a grocery store & Tim Horton's just a block away. The streetcar stop is right outside the front door.
this hotel is in a very run down area! The lobby, stairs & hallway had a terrible smell of mustiness & there was a rodent deterrent in the hall. There is no elevator so carrying luggage up 3 flights was no fun.
The hotel stay was super cheap and gave the essentials: cleanliness, air conditioning and heating, etc.
Parking was extra and really awkward to park. WiFi didn't work very well. Continental breakfast had little variety but was plentiful and just what one would need in the morning.
